  1. I giggle everytime my missus says Neeeeeeesan. LOL! Or Mars-dah. Where abouts are you Franky?
  2. All in all, they're young or new to the car scene and it's part of learning. They'll learn that it's not all black and white as it seems but it's up to the knowledgeable people to explain. Maybe I've been around as you have because I think the same thing too. A lot of young people I talk to (esp 17yo's hanging to get their P plates) tell me they're chasing X-hp and they're going to do intercooler, FMIC, boost controller and bbearing turbo to achieve that. Soon they realise it's an expensive exercise becuase ECU is needed, injectors, dyno time, problems getting power to the ground, etc... A mate told me that he wanted a MAP sensor on his SR20 with a GT25 BB turbo. Ask him why and he can't give you an answer. Honestly there is no magical formula to get 400hp or run 12 seconds down the 1/4. I continually have to explain that a dyno is just a tuning device and 400hp on one dyno is not 400hp on another. And to run 12 seconds the driver better be up to scratch too.
  3. It's confirmed that Williams are going to Cosworth power for 06. Too much politics and not enough engineering. Probably for the better.
  4. I'll slap on a GTR badge on my MR2 just for you. And I'll even throw in a "Powered by NIZMO" sticker. lol!
  5. Can you get the ST strut bracers for a SW20 MR2? I need both front and rear.
  6. That's the normal warming up cycle of any engine.
  7. I don't think it would come on GTR's.
  8. I believe it's on some R32 GTST. I was looking at an example WAY back when grey imports were just starting to become popular and it's a pretty funky gizmo. It simply adds downforce at high speeds and goes away at low speeds so you get some ground clearance.
  9. SNOW!!!! It is rather cold tonight in Sydney...
  10. I've booked the car into East coast. It's a bit hard to leave the car in Sydenhem for a day. Going to get it all corner weighted/aligned and clearance done. Thanks for the replies!
  11. Sounds like it's about to let go.
  12. Is it only winter you get shocks getting out of the car? If so then it means you've got dry skin. You don't get much during summer because of the humidity. Use moisturizer and lube up!
  13. I've just got some coilovers and they're not set right. When I got them the spring adjustment had been tampered with and the ride height is too low at the moment. So I want to know of any places where I can get the spring adjustment sorted and get a alignment in Sydney. Thanks! Note. Whiteline don't sell or work on cars anymore. Atleast that's what the sales guy at the front said to me.
  14. I get shitty when w@nkers weave in and out of traffic and think they're "racing". From P-platers to company cars, it's all the same. Sitting behind someone 1mm in between doesn't get you anywhere faster. It only provides for a spectacular head to tail shunt and a bruised ego.
  15. I don't think money has anything to do with Webber's performance. If he was chasing the dollars he would've taken the Toyota deal (Webber knocked it back so Ralf got the drive). They were offering him a significant amount which he knocked back. The car has a lot to do with their performances. Both Toyota and Jordan run the same motors. But look where they're on the grid. Same with Ferrari and Sauber. I wouldn't be surprised if he was backing off the second half of the race. Remember that the engine has to last 2 races. Once things have seattled down and drivers have gotten into a rythmn they usually tell drivers to back off the revs to perserve the engine. I think all teams would employ this stratagy. Webber and Hieldfeld are running aero parts too. Heidfeld rejected the new aero parts. note: Webber's manager is Flavio Briatore. He also manages Alonso and Fisi.
  16. I'm in!
  17. Me me me! I was here first!
  18. Well, it's confirmed. JB doesn't want to go to Williams and now JB wil have another sh*t fight with Williams. Both parties sat down and talked but we'll have to see the outcome. Rubens is tired of being number 2 (or as Jean Todt said, 1b) and has signed for 2006 with BAR. Taku is pretty much gone, pretty dismal his performances anyway. so BAR will have a new line up for 06. Ferrari have officially announced Massa as their new "1b" driver for 06.
  19. Heifield is probably going to be part of the BMW-Sauber deal. I doubt he'll remain. Webber and Button is more likely the line up for Williams. Button is again going to cause issues with silly season. Will he remain at BAR or be shipped to Williams? He signed the dotted line for 2005-2006 seasons. Word has it that Rubens has signed up with BAR next year. Is Massa going to Ferrari and fullfil his destiny as Number 2? Will JV stay at Sauber?
  20. Kimi wins! YAY! Now the million dollar question. Will his engine last the next GP?
  21. I like Caterham. Cars based on the Lotus 7. Slap in a 2.3L cosworth motor with 6 gears and YEEHAA! You have the CSR. But production cars I'm a born and breed Porsche man.
  22. Why wasn't the car reported stolen in the first place? 5 weeks and they didn't notice it missing or something? If his d*ck dropped off I wonder if he'd notice it missing! And how can the cops not wonder why it wasn't reported stolen in that time? Great service their doing for the community... I hope the car is insured. Get your mate to talk to his insurance company and let them do the investigation.
  23. Quick one. What are the affects on having toe in on the front and rear suspension? Thanks!
  24. Bahahaha! I miss them Friday threads.
