    You have to remember that a car like the GTR falls into the niche market category. A lot of people talk, drool and would like to own one but then they hear and find out the realities of owning one they shy away. There are very few people out there with that kind of money to blow it out on a car like the GTR.

    My missus lives in the US so she's pretty into the whole FWD 1/4 mile racing. She did an engine conversion (lancer with a MIVEC engine) herself and turbocharged the standard 1.8 engine herself. She don't mind me playing around with my car but as long as she gets a go too.

    Similar thing happened to my previous car. Ended up being AFM. Swap AFM with another GTR and go for a drive to find out.

    Just get a motorcycle helmet from someone and you'll be right. If your worried about OP then I suggest a day out at Wakefield first. That'll boost your confidence. I'll be heading down for an open day (can't make Sept 11) so your welcome to tag along. Gotta get the toymotor suspension set up right.

    If your worried about cost of maintence and repairs of a GTR then it's already not a good idea.

    I'm sure you can bring in the car for motorsport use (regardless of age) but that would still require a lot of money and you can't drive it on a daily basis. www.cams.com.au All the info and rules and regs you'll need can be found here.

    Montoya said that the Jordan incident rooted the rear diffuser. The corner he lost it in was a highspeed combination of lefts and there was just no downforce. Either way if he didn't lost it, Alonso would've gotten him exiting the turns.

    You'd be surprised how much oil blow-by you get. My old GTR had then engine rebuild but the oil catch can would have a lot of oil/water after 5000k's. The engine wasn't all that tuned too.

    Rear strut brace, and coilovers so far. I've ordered some swaybar links for the front and some adjustable swaybars are on the list too. Not interested in poke on the straight with this car.

    Theoretical top speed for a R32 GTR is about 250km/h. Don't need a rocket scientist to figure out that a RB26DETT has more torque than a B16A engine. I don't care what aerodynamic coefficent a Intergra is it'll never reach 250km/h (unless a tornado is blowing wind in the right direction and plumetting down to earth from orbit, YES, it may reach 280km/h). Just cause the speedo says, doesn't mean it can do!

    F***in Sato! Baulked Webber in qualifying and MW starts 7th because of it. FIA will decide to slap a fine o Sato for it. Sato's not doing to well to retain his drive for 06. But lookie here... Kimi on the front! YAY!
