  1. Do a search and save the moderators from another cat fight:D I've just got a PowerFC and tuning it tomorrow. Brought this cause it's tried and proven.
  2. I still see those cars around. But no longer Honda's.
  3. That doesn't sound good. Dodgy Bro's radiator repairs. Let us know what the results are. Either I'll change the fan (not likely cause some people on SDU don't recommend it) or get a better water pump. The radiator has already been upgraded to a bigger item.
  4. Is that the club spec one for the WRX?
  5. In realiality, nothing and nobody can guarentee you X amount of HP with Y upgrade. The figure he gave you is theoretical in the perfect environment. He knows it too, that's why he avoided the question cause if he said X amount and it didn't deliver, you'd be on his back in a lighting bolt!
  6. I shouldn't be encouraging this sort of stuff, but brake fluid works a treat....
  7. If you do that coppers think your a dealer. If you don't, then they think your a thug and arrest your arse anyway.
  8. I'd like to turn up but gotta work night shift. May have to chuck a sickie.....
  9. Full ball bearing turbo's are not rebuildable. I think the Nissan turbo's are ball bearing on the inlet side only, or other. But it's one side only. Somehow they are rebuildable. However, I reckon go full ball bearing cause it spools up faster.
  10. Sometimes when you watch the odometer tick over, it looks like it's jammed then quickly flicks over. Bushes are the best indication cause dodgy people don't change them, mainly the obvious like gearknobs, steering wheels and pedals with aftermarket stuff.
  11. No, I'm not stupid. Ferrari's and Lambo's are mid mounted. Motor is mounted in front of the rear wheels. Rear mounted is motor mounted behind the wheels. No need to get hyped up mate. I'm not saying Ferrari and Lambo's are crap. Put emotions aside and think.... If Porsche cars handle well, why don't Ferrari or Lambo do the same thing? Engineering costs. 911 didn't come overnight. It was a few decade thing. Same thing with Porsche, why didn't they make one mid mounted. Engineering costs.
  12. Well, why don't Ferrari's and Lambo's have rear mounted engines like the 911??? Mazda took a long time to perfect the rotory engine. Lots of money went into engineering and evolving the motor. Other companies aren't going to take an unknown path. Mazda may know something they may not. Thinking like that is just like how V8 diehards think. Have an open mind. I don't see GTS-t's winning 24 hour races.
  13. When it comes to front speakers, you can't go past MB quartz.
  14. As always, new comers are always welcome.
  15. When it somes to upgrading turbos on cars with a sequential setup, they do away with the twins and go the single route. Sequential setup is complicated to work with.
  16. I got a nizmo 320 or 340km/h speedo on mine. Came with the car and I checked out the price for one. No way I would get one myself personally. Get the Apexi RSM if you want to see yourself go over 180km/h. You get the bonus of removing the limiter.
  17. My friends and I are talking about holding another track day. Just wanted to know when people would like us to hold this. Unlike last time, it's gonna have to be cost up front cause I lost some money last time. It has to be sometime next year, early in Jan, Feb or Mar as I know some of you School/Uni bums start in Mar sometime. Also suggest a day of the week. Remember that weekends cost more, and so do public holidays.
  18. It's more myth that rotor motors need to be rebuilt everytime you gun it. The Series 6 RX7 is a very well engineered car. This myth mainly comes from the older series 4 and 5 turbo 13B's. I looked at them when I was looking for my car (Not import, Mazda delivered). The main problem is trying to find one in good nick. They also have a problem with the turbo's, something cracking. Read that somewhere. But being fair, I'd take the RX7 if I was after a track car cause they handle very well, and in my opinion, better brakes (even though it's the same calipers) than the 32 GTR. Probably to do with the weight. But for an everyday car, the R34.
  19. I'm contemplating changing the standard fan to electric fans. I know that there is a few KW to be gained, but I was wondering if this helps the cooling of the car better. From what I've heard, at low speeds it is better, but I'm more concerned at high speeds as I use it frequently for the track. What do people know? Has anyone done this before? What are the results like?
  20. I was in my mates 200sx. He drove like a granny anyway.
  21. That's why 1. She didn't want to come cause she figured I thrash her car 2. Got her to stay home cause she would complain about going over 60km/h.
  22. Top day. When I get the R up and running I'm gonna have to go back there. Thanks Dan.
  23. Both car and bike license are one.
  24. Looks like not much are coming with me. Too many pulled out (lame). Though I think one will be meeting at maccas on the M4.
  25. Come to think about it, all these cars are common. R32 Gtst isn't that common.... I think. If you want to be a apart of the crowd, any of these cars will do. But with the WRX people also think your a ram raider.
