  1. Its not north of the river - its east in the hills - south of river. In Roleystone (near kelmscott), Bedfordale, Pickering brook, Karragullen, Mundaring etc etc It was about 1km from my house. Black stuff everywhere. Everything in the house smells like bush fire. We all have fire boxes in Roleystone so if we get told to leave we just grab that. (its a metal box with birth certificates, passports etc etc... stuff you wont want to lose).

  4. Butler - we decided not to enter this show as we wanted to focus on Drag Combat and Western Salon. Plus its mainly a holden/ford show with the burnout comp etc etc not really an imports audience. But good to hear a few went out there to show the trevs up!
  5. The other day I raced a CRX... he baited me!! I beat him and he came up next to me beeped his horn and showed me his police shirt.... oops... just waiting for the knock on the door now.
  6. make sure you tell us what he says Jason
  7. Joe - the MOD job has nothing to do with SAUWA... forums and club are seperate. So its up to PRANK who is a mod... not us. Shaun - was just joking with ya!!
  8. You've already had your reign and you relinquished to Dan so pi55 off!
  9. 2rismo wasnt asking for new mods... he was just stating his opinion.
  10. This event is going to be AWES hehehe I hope we get a lawn!
  11. the Jull Street mall... WOOP WOOP. There are illegal drags up the back of Roleystone and the truck stop on Albany Hwy is a nice big pad of bitumen... so you can guess what that gets used for.
  12. Hey people Here I was reading the Roleystone Courier (a little gossip rag for us hill billies) and I see the following article.. Dob In a Hoon Proposal The City of Armadale has announced that it is interested in pursuing the Dob in a Hoon program as another weapon against the irresponsible driving antics some drivers get up to on their suburban streets. This provides another opportunity for the community to provide information to the police about anti-social behaviour related to "hoons driving cars" and is linked to the recent State Government "Hoon Legislation". Whilst the community already has the opportunity to report concerns direct the the police (by calling the Dob in a Hoon Hotline 9398 0020) this program uses the Local Authority as the "go between" in that they receive the initial information, collate the responses in a database and forward the results to the police weekly, to both follow up on individual incidents but also to look at "trends and hot spots". The City of Gosnells has linked this to their City Watch and Community Safety programs and the City of Armadale is considering doing likewise through their Community Safety Advisory Committee and Community Safety plan. The City of Armadale is looking at a number of options which will become an agenda item to the Community Services Committee and Council in January and it will also be referred to the Community Safety Advisory Committee (CSAC) for possible inclusion in the Community Safety Plan (which is currently under review) Well I think its about time I started attending my local council meetings... and "Hot spots"..... there goes the precious truck stop
  13. If anyone want to become an official sponsor of SAUWA... please contact myself and I can arrange for the relevant information to be sent out. Thanks guys!
  14. Hey - this is from SAUWA member Scags (Jarred) - My Dad owns and manages one of Perth's leading Panel & Paint shops: Gino's Panel & Paint http://www.ginos.com.au/ in Freo. They mostly do insurance work, but do some private work. Quality wise they are second to none. They have the latest tools technologies and techniques. Price wise however, they are not the cheapest around. This is a definite reflection of the quality though. At the moment there is no special deal for members as the shop is quite busy. But have a look at the website or give them a call.
  15. It was great! It wasnt too hot, plenty of shade etc and free water points. Lisa lashes is the queen! The future dayze tent was like a sauna during her set and even worse when armin van buuren started up.... SO many people loving the music
  16. hrm? 6 months in the academy training to disarm a gunman.... or 6 months learning about mechanics... I know which one I'd rather. The fact is cops are NOT mechanics and never will be.... the sooner people get over that, the sooner there will be less tears about getting stickers for something you probably deserved.
  17. I think the police have enough to train for and worry about with adding learning about 1000 different types of engines and mod combinations etc. Which is something very minor in the life of a cop. The reason they give you a sticker is because they 'believe' it to be an infringement and you need to get it checked... thats why you have to go to the pits and they either confirm or deny this. If the cops had training in all of this, what would be the point of having a sticker system? They'd just take your car off the road then and there. The simple thing is - its YOUR job to know the modification rules and get permits.
  18. I will email him and see what he reckons. I havnt seen him on the forums in a while....
  19. There is a SAUWA member - Jarred - aka Scags (with the red 34 from Western Salon) - his dad is a panel beater. Maybe PM him? I know his dad touches is r34 up when it gets chips or anything.
  20. Dezza - learn to spell check matey Yeah the eye level spoiler is part of compliance on imports. The thing about this is, the DPI might consider these mods ok - but the important thing is, your insurance company might not. You have crash.... 'oh whats this after market 400hp turbo doing here... you never told us that - NO INSURANCE CLAIM FOR YOU!'
  21. And get a windscreen shade to protect the dash a bit and keep it cooler inside. Also armourall or something similar the dash and other vinyl trim etc, this will stop it from cracking in the sun.
  22. mikey bodoh :slap:
  23. TJ - who was the asian guy with the big telephoto lense camera looking all professional? He was taking some interesting shots... wouldn't mind seeing them! When are yours going to be up TJ?
  24. Jimih - there was a 4 car pile up on the first leg. All cars were drivable though and not too much damage.
  25. Great cruise for a great cause! Sooooo many cars. I left after Bunnings - a few people being idiots with that many cars worried me a bit! Pity about the accident, at least it wasnt serious. BUUUT majority of people followed the rules. Excellent job done by the organisers. Glad to hear alot of money was made!
