  1. I have sent this to the Sri Lankan guy I work with, he passed it on to the Sri Lankan community in Perth. They think it is a great idea!
  2. Great idea! Dan and I will be there for sure! We are donating an hour of our pay at work for this as well, one guy I work with is Sri Lankan and his whole village and extended family are gone. I have also sent an email out to people at my work who would be interested. TJ - Which relief fund is it going to?
  3. RB26VL - we welcome everyone as members to SAUWA. As Steve said we have WRX owners, 180sx, silvia's etc as paid members. We are a club aimed at import enthusiats... with the main focus on Skylines and definitly Nissan imports. If you want more informatin on joining, there is a sticky thread about becoming a member. This will tell you what you have to do to join.
  4. I heard wesfarmers insurance is very cheap for imports and they seem ok with modifications... but I am not sure if you have to work for a company in their group to get insurance with them. A guy at my work is with them and has nothing but good things to say. So Just Cars might not be the only solution for import car insurance.
  5. Thanks for the suggestion Matt. It takes a bit of work to organise a cruise and everyone is really busy leading up to christmas - including us Event's Co ordinators! Plus I dont think people walking around with kids looking at the lights would appreciate us in loud cars cruising past. But we are planning an SAUWA day cruise in January, so keep an eye out in the events section for details. From Liz and Dan SAUWA Events Co-ordinators
  6. Excellent night!! Well done Lauren on organising this fun night and providing the club with prizes of tickets for Perth Cup. The 4 members area tickets went to Zak (missinglink) The 2 general entry tickets went to Mikey (Mikeru_r33).... which he kindly gave to Dan and I (thanks mikey!! ) It was great to see some old and new faces... and meet some of the girls from Drivn by Heels! What was with the boys/girls seperation of the tables! hahah sorry kym Bayley - I hope your mum enjoyed the c0cktail we made her!
  7. I am closing this thread as kym's question has been answered and he has made his decision. Thank- you to those who posted USEFUL information - regardless of what side of the fence you're from - you are what makes these forums worthwhile.
  8. This thread is not about going to the Rise. Do not whore it anymore and keep it on topic. All threads about the Rise and other off topic posts have been deleted incase you're wondering where they are. If it goes off topic again, people will be warned.
  9. Dan and I will be there for sure!!! OOOer I want to win those tickets!
  10. I was told there is a sticker on the radiator or something which is put on there when the timing belt is done.... its can be used as an indicator to see if the km's are false as well. Anyway - alot of people drive over the 100 000k's with no probs, but then again it can be a pretty big risk to let it go. Big $$ in repairs if it goes bang. Call Ken at Hyperdrive - 9209 3100 - they are in Malaga or Steve at SST 9470 1115 - they are in Welshpool. Both shops look after SAU guys well. Give them a call for a quote.
  11. Yeah I had a similar problem after my car got detailed and they OVER detailed my engine bay too :hellpisd: . I would get to boost and it would cough a splutter. Water got in the AFM and the plugs. I pulled the AFM off and made sure it was dry. The plugs also had water on them - Ken from Hyperdrive told me to leave the car idling for like 10 - 15 or so minutes to dry the plugs out... it made it alot better.... but it took a few days of driving before everything was back to normal.
  12. Plenty of people use and read the spotted thread. Use it like everyone else. Thread closed.
  13. Nice one Lauren and Mel!! http://www.inthemix.com.au/photos8/041127-scifi?page=5
  14. Peta and Lozzle - you guys were so much fun! Remember the new club we thought up in the DnB room - Scattered Wrecks hahaha Lauren and Mel - you guys looked soooo cute
  15. If you email or PM Zanda he will be able to tell you.... would be some something like 60 and above... but some people chose numbers like 69 already . Numbers like 34, 33, 32 etc are gone.
  16. And with a cruise coming up this Friday guys - I hope this adds an extra reminder to drive sensibly and take note of our cruise rules...
  17. Considering that IBM supplied the laptop and my work pays them a crap load of money.... I would hope they would report it if that happenned.
  18. nice work LAH!
  19. Great response Marc! I have owned both a skyline and a 180sx - and I have found the skyline alot more comfortable and nicer to drive. I had a 1993 180sx, so it had those crappy hessian bag type seats and trim. But if you get post 1994, I think the 180sx comes with velour seats and trim, like the skylines have. The 180sx is also quite simple inside, as you've probably seen, compared to the skyline.... But these are all asthetic qualities!!! Like Marc said - the 180sx is alot cheaper to maintain. I have found the skyline to be quite expensive after owning a 180sx. S13's have an abundance of parts at wreckers and stuff and they are cheaper on fuel (but this is relative to what mods you do ). But this doens't matter if your not concerned about maintence costs!!
  20. Joe - the one with the BROWN hair is JESS, the SAUWA model. The one with the BLONDE hair is Rianna.... the other winner of Miss Western Salon 2004. Dan(25gtt) knows Jess and asked her to model for us. She did it for free then got a paid modelling job with AudioCom!
  21. Kym - two girls won the title (in flite's pic) - it was a draw or whatever. One was the SAUWA model... dont know who the blonde one was...
  22. Joe - Both those girls won Miss Western Salon 2004 - the one on the right (dark hair) was our model.
  23. The number is your membership number. You will be allocated one and it will be put on your membercard! If you want a particular number, PM Zanda (Alex) or email him (he's the one you would have sent the papers to) and let him know!
  24. jason - thats meant to be like that hahaha.... it was part of the design!!
  25. there were no small button ups made Joe. Sorry
