Hey Tigeryas - we are currently getting sponsors, which only members will be able enjoy the discount (as you will have to show your member card), soon there will be a members only area on the forums as well. Also you will be able to participate in things like todays photo shoot, social events etc... ALL GOOD THINGS!!!

Or try straight eucalyptus oil on a cotton ball and rub the residue off. You can buy it from coles or woolies in the mecidinal section. Also good for mozzie bites. It gets rid of the sticky residue or paper residue left behind by stickers. I have never used it on a car body, but its been fine on glass, walls, cupboards etc.

Kym - the shoot is being done to promote the club - the official club , that people have paid for, that sponsors are sponsoring. Yes the net forums of casual cruisers that made it was it is today - but this is promotion for SAUWA not www.skylinesaustralia.com The forums are for people with a common interest, the club SAUWA is for people who want benefits from an official membership. Benefits such as getting their car in a magazine The committee was elected for the official club - to get it up and running, not oversee'ers of a forum... thats Pranks job. We are trying to promote the club, promote membership, promote sponsors - not the forums. Look at PPCC for example - thay have specially designated areas for members only where only members are invited to things like this. They won "best club" at drag Combat - so obviously this tatic has not failed for them. The date was set by the photogragher - not us. Paul has not said NO to anyone who has asked to be in the shoot (skyline owners), and no "old schoolers" have asked to be in it anyway.

This thread is about a photo shoot - not memberships - please but your concerns in THAT thread. Did you guys not read what I just wrote?
-
If you have an issue with the memberships - ie you havent heard anything back from Zanda , please put these in the membership thread. Zanda has no internet access at work, so cant be at everyone's beck and call 24/7. He is trying his best at home to get it all sorted, I am sure he will get in contact with everyone soon.
-
Wilzee - email Zanda (as per the instructions on the opening post) He will sort out the member number you want - so long as its available!
-
Bam - of course that is ok!!! We welcome everyone to be members... plus we all know you anyway pimp daddy!

When I was 16, there was the token "older guy" that hung around who had a car. We all went camping one night and one of the 16yr old guys asked he could take this guys torrie for a drive... we all jumped in and he drove down some really thin roads in roleystone, where there is a sheer drop on one side. He decided to turn back, doing a three point turn and he reversed too far... the car rolled down the hill. 3 girls and 2 guys trying to push this thing back up... didnt work, so we walked for 5 hours back to the campsite and "token" asked us "did you lock the car".... hahahaha The morning wasnt so funny when he found out... And my pearler of an accident, 3 days before my wedding, driving my 180sx down albany Hwy through Gosnells, I saw a guy trying to turn right (i had the green light) in front of me at the lights where the gossie hotel is. I said to my friend "check this dickhead out"... then he T boned me & pushed the car onto its side. We went through 4 traffic poles before stopping in the rose gardens at the front of the pub. A classy guy with a pint came out and said to me (while I was trapped in the car) "that was awesome can you do it again". Anyway... after realising my legs were trapped.. I started to panic... not 100% about being trapped... but more about how embarassing it would be when the firies came to cut me out. I pulled my legs out myself and climbed out the window... thank god I had a long wedding dress!

Dan and I spoke at length about this idea to Mikey, it was also raised at a committee meeting - we feel there are too many liability issues involved. Even though you can say "oh I wouldnt blame that person", we still dont want our members open to that risk. That however, doesnt mean people cant organise their own little get together, not associated with SAUWA!

WTF is the point of this thread? You lost you lisence, yes you'll have to redo everything cause you're on your P's - bad luck! Serves you right for drink driving. On the other hand - nice car - it sucks you wont be driving it for a while.

Sneeza replied to skyzerr33's topic in Western Australia
If anyone missed out on signing up for a membership at DC - they will be available at the cruise on the 18th. You will need to PM Zanda (alex) so he can laminate a member card for you and then you can pay cash ($25) at the cruise and sign your membership form. If you cant make it to the cruise - speak to Zanda and see what he can arrange for you. -

Drag Combat is our official launch - so it would be great to get as MANY people as possible down there to watch some fast skylines and to support SAUWA by signing up to be a member. But if you cant make it - dont worry we will make memberships available after the launch - so no one will miss out! You will be able to sign up at the next cruise as well... -

No Bam - owning a skyline is not a prerequisite, we welcome all import enthusiasts! -
Insane - if you have any ideas feel free to PM either me or dan the man - as we are the club events co-ordinators. Even though those roads are not speed restricted - you legally are not meant to go over 110km/h. Our aim is to organise safe cruises and promote people to drive with in their limits. A curvy "high speed" road in pitch black doesnt strike me as the safest thing to do - but it sounds great for one of our day cruises which we usually finish with a BBQ!

well hahhaa - I have had one accident that was my fault and one that wasnt my fault... which was a nasty write off. I am very paranoid in cars and I think its due to the last accident. I never think cars are going to stop in time, or I think they are going to pull out. I am a very very bad passenger... I even have heart palpitations, I am that nervous and scared. I am fine when I am driving though - prolly cause I am in control. As for police... I have never had a problem and I am not concerned about them at all! I like to think our police try to be fair. *ducks from abuse*

Nissan 180sx!!! I loved that car
-
Mike - that is a great idea. Feel free to speak to dan and myself about it if you want to go ahead. It may also be a good opportunity to raise some funds for the club! Can I suggest maybe putting up a poll to get an general idea to see if this event will attract any interest??
