  1. Car: 97 R33 GTST sedan Turbo: Standard Tyres: Federal SS595 255/40/R17 @ 36psi Date: 11/04/2007 Time: 8.55pm Output in rwkw: 150rwkw (allstar dyno day *see note) Track: Willowbank Air Temp: 17 C Track Temp: 29 C Humidity: 87% Reaction time: 0.522 60ft: 2.117 330ft: 5.828 660ft: 8.911 1000ft: 11.548 ET: 13.772 MPH: 101.37 Comments: Got the extra couple of tenths I expected from fitting the CES split front/dump pipe and metal 3" cat to replace the standard front/dump pipe and gutted 2.5" cat the car came with. I think I can get it down into the low 13s with some mickey thompson street drag radials. This shall be my next purchase for bettering my 1/4 time. Not bad for K&N panel filter, full 3"exhaust, 10psi and 100mm thick SMIC. Who needs a front mount! *Really beginning to doubt the all star dyno reading now, having an ET of 101mph, that was the same ET as I used to get in my old GTR with 200 awkw. . . . . GTRs don't weight THAT much more. . . . . . ETs don't lie. I suppose I was the first on the dyno and with readings of 92rwkw, 96rwkw, 121rwkw and finally 150rwkw, how would you know what my car is actually getting?? Not impressed by that day still. . . .
  2. Hey, Happy Birthday Dave!
  3. Here here. Skylines are pretty tough things, if you keep them very well maintained spend some dollars on suspension, brakes and cooling rather than chasing those big rwkw that you can't use on the street anyway, you can have fun thrashing around the track, down the quarter and at the skidpan without fear. I have only had a skyline fail me once and that was after picking it up from getting a full respray, for some reason the AFM decided to pack it in. . . . nothing really. I have done numerous trackdays at QR and Darlington Park, plenty of runs at willowbank and a few days on the skidpan and LVMA at Mt Cotton and soon Gympie, and have never had a problem. Don't get me wrong I would love some big hp, then I could have some real fun I am sure, but then I am sure I would spend a lot more time off the road too as more hp means more stress on the engine and drivetrain and an inevitable failure. If you love driving you skyline then will be addicted after only one lap! Its great fun I highly recommend giving it a go. And correction. . . . I am slow. . . .
  4. Wow. . . . . Gosh. . . . . Huh? ? ? ? ? What is the point of this thread again?
  5. Car: 97 R33 GTST sedan Turbo: Standard Date: 14/10/2006 Time: 5.48pm Output in rwkw: 150rwkw Track: Willowbank Air Temp: 20 C Track Temp: 30 C Humidity: 68% Reaction time: 0.785 60ft: 2.131 330ft: 5.897 660ft: 9.008 1000ft: 11.667 ET: 13.930 MPH: 97.38 Comments: Have fitted a CES front pipe since doing this run, hoping for another tenth or so next outing.
  6. Does the car have the factory side skirts and rear pods?
  7. Tore it in the middle but is badly effecting movement in my neck and shoulder. I am a bit more free now but the problem is with jerky movements, they are the worst and launches at willowbank aren't exactly smooth. Will rest up tonight and tomorrow but I really think I would be wasting my money to try . Shall see how I go.
  8. I am out now unless my physio can work some magic by Saturday arvo. I tore my trap. muscle Tuesday and have been walking around like frankenstein ever since, damn it hurts!
  9. and lets not forget the far quicker processing attesa computer. . . . . The vspec version of all the gtrs is a far better car, especially at the track and in wet condition and they are MUCH easier to drive. . . . . Not to mention the how rare a genuine 32 vspec 2 is to find. Good buy mate, It is basically a 32 gtr with 33 gtr vspec running gear, great combo.
  10. It shouldn't. According to the dyno on the weekend I only have 150rwkw and I have managed consistent 13.9s - 14.0s. I know I have a 33 but they aren't that much different. and a mate of mine has a 34 sedan tiptronic with around 170rwkw and he has done low 14s.
  11. Why does everyone say get your power, then think about brakes and suspension?? Am I the only one that thinks that the brakes and suspension are really not up to the task on a stock skyline let alone one with considerably more power. Its going to be a LOT easier to be quick in a car that easy to drive than one that is a complete handful. IMHO get everything else sorted, brakes, suspension, cooling, then go searching for power.
  12. I have the drivers and passenger seat out of my 97 R33 GTST for sale. They are in excellent condition. $250 for the pair. Would prefer local pickup on these. I also have the grill off the same car forsale, it is also in excellent condition $80. I have a freshly machined early R32 GTR flywheel also $80 Drivers and passenger seat frames, came with a pair of Bride Ergos, suit 32 GTR $100 The standard snorkel off a standard 33 GTR airbox $90 An ARC BOV with 2 adapters to suit 33 GTST. One adapter is for atmo setup the other for plumb-back. $120 New Handbrake boot for 33, black leather with red stitching. Wire frame included $80 I am open to reasonable offers Contact me via PM I am located in Brisbane
  13. I also have SK group buy stuff with his Bilsteins, whiteline springs, pineapples and sway bars. Also Cusco Adj rear camber arms, cusco adj caster rods, cusco tension bar, and a Nismo front strut brace with brake cylinder stopper. For the Exhaust I have a CES split front/dump pipe (hpc coated), magnaflow 3" metal cat and kakimoto 3" cat back. The only body mod I have is a Nismo grill. It all seems to work pretty well. I can't speak highly enough of the suspension setup for road and track.
  14. Nice car there mate. Skylines don't need much to make them look sweet, nice rims too
  15. I had height and damper adjustable coilovers (Apexi) on my old GTR, spents heaps getting them rebuilt, changing spring rates till I got something which I thought was pretty good. . . . . After using this setup from SK I wish I had saved my money and gone with his setup, if it was available back then If you only do the occasional track day, its mainly a road driven car then this setup really can't be beaten. I have tried both roads and this is the better setup for both road and track and by far cheaper.
  16. Get this you won't regret it and by the sounds of it would be perfect for your needs. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=87826 I too was going between this setup and the new oz spec Tein's when I sold my GTR and got the GTST sedan, but for the money this setup can't be beaten, and it fine on the track. If I had my GTR still I would be going with this for sure.
  17. Already filled out and sitting in my glove box! No way I can forget now. . . .
  18. Put me down for this one, was going to go on the 3rd but am planning a rather large night out instead So the 17th it is!
  19. Yeah, I am thinking about going on the 17th now too
