  5. Lewis Engine prices will vary depending on what components, and how much porting work you want always get a quote from the engine builder phone then email IMHO
  6. ruby, ya week couldnt have been that bad ! (unless ya lost a child/family member of course, condolences if so) cheer up all
  7. Ryan for a private service/tune, or Boostwerks for a shop service/tune ($450 ~ $650 for 1st and 2nd option is the going rate) best if you buy the parts yourself, ie 5L premium 10/40w oil, oil filter, fuel filter, coolant, power steer fluid, brake fluid, diff fluid (attessa as well for us 4wd'ers), bcpre6 .8mm copper sparkies, grab a gates racing belt set for $300 (belt, tensioner, pulley, rings/seals) oil and water pump for RB, around $450 there for new might need the exhaust studs checked at same time. probably advisable to check and replace gaskets, ie exhaust manifold, intake manifold, turbo gasket but doing that adds up to a grand job. although you then know she's good for a fair while longer now, probably for your ownership. a safc and nismo adjustable fuel pressure regulator might be a bit of fun, to get around the 5000rpm spot, and gain some more power but youd want a full exhaust system, good induction and intake, better fuel pump, and then the mods really start so easy to fall under the spell LOL
  8. who wants to wash my stag before the big day??! looking forward to it, hope there are some good driving legs; want to give the girl a run. been hitting up the twisties a bit at night, going really nicely. good power and handling ability
  9. tuned always on a dyno by a pro, and then Ive changed a cple areas in high rpm 5500+ for fuel and timing having a safc and sitc means its easy to change obviously, BUT, a year on I now also have a Toshi ecu remap so now my safc is reading Negative -15 thru a fair whack of the rpm range. plenty of fuel left in it, next tune is mid december (drop off the stagea for head port, poncam install & tune start Dec.) 200kw at the moment 230-240kw in 6 weeks time the safc will be brought back up into the positives all I can say is the Stagea is sooooo awesome to drive now as she is, so beautiful, but the head work and tune will make her more of a beauty Im sure
  10. see http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/He...33#entry4249633 for photos of head gear for rb25det stupid home loan has grown by 4k by the end of december 'cause of these parts fitting and tune LOL

  12. lol man, cant wait for dec 2nd to drop off the stag and all the head gear hang on will get a photo
  13. yep Cometic is the brand name Ive chosen for the gasket set(s) good pricing and excellent quality in the flesh. must admit I stole that website link from ntsky, =) always have a look there, nice site you can read about my head work here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/He...&hl=tangles
  14. hi mate, a 86mm would probably be best, by 1.5mm Im going to use a 87mm x 1.2mm head gasket you can buy genuine complete nissan gasket kits for around $200 for example, lewis engines sell head gaskets and gasket kits http://www.lewisengines.com.au/category2_3.htm although better prices can be found on the net example : http://shop.rawbrokerage.com/category.sc?categoryId=20 edit: I ended up buying a heap of gear for the head from Erics Performance Parts, usa ebay, when the usa $ was 1.03$ to the aussie dollar so made it quite a cheap buy-up exercise mind you, my complete rb25det head job will set me back around $4500
  15. 66yr old mate, take off the turbo and have a good look at it. take off the manifold and replace the manifold gasket, the turbo gasket, and all the manifold exhaust studs. replace them all. if the turbo is in ok knik put it all back on. the manifold can be prone to splitting too....
  16. good post zedback problem is the arse has dropped out of the value of the stagea so to sell one for more that 16k is a hard thing to do,..... ie, mine was 18k 3yrs ago, sunk 18k into it by this xmas, and I wouldnt be able to sell it for 18.............. such a nice car, worth 18k for sure, but unfortunately Id say trade it in, put it in a yard on Consignment, or sell for 16k sux doesnt it ? Id buy it in a sinch, lol - you want a 4cyl daewoo nubira 20,000kms lol? haha i know you dont. never mind Good luck with sale
  17. I think sau user Fuzzy had carbon covers over his roof rack slots looks good, but I like the racks as they are
  18. +1 no way hozey
  19. yeah an electrician uses his stag as a daily ride use rav4 side length racks, the stagea has 2 lon ways rack runners on the roof, works easy
  20. my knees are damned sore =( and the boys pet bunny rabbit keeps trying to piss on me (runs around my feet and sprays) - she's in heat I think, lol might have to eat her if she keeps doing it
  21. nice car, drool worthy mods, not my cup of tea simpy because Im too tall to fit in one, lol fellas, ashame ashame. used to cruise in the skyline, sold and updating us fellow sa'ers (thanks doyla, nice ride and I like the mods, *tips hat to you) to the new ride, and you shoot em' down. hmmmmmmmmm - tard worthy from a few you, in my opinion what other mods are on the cards?
  22. hell, the m35 stagea's are like plush millionaire's boats (but yet go ok, lol) very nice for a bit of a upmarket look at budget price ~20k stagea series 1 for 11k plus 19k mods = better than suby or evo stagea series 2 for 14k plus 16k mods = beter than suby or evo (my opinion only) legnum for 14k plus 16k mods = nice squirty wagon Im sure evo, too much coin suby, not much wagon space, stagea is a lot bigger commy, know not much about them, but again a S1 or S2 stagea with mods will be nicer than a evo or commy or suby, and cheaper too mine is 18k car and 18k mods, (come december head work) and wouldnt have it any other way
  23. noice davb can always ask them to get the apprentice to do the work to save a little coin shaun looks after me with quality of work and pricing, best Ive come across, damned honest as well. which is a big thing for me
  24. stagea easy come for a ride in mine at xmas time darren, the head will be done and tuned at ~230kw very very snappy atm with 200kw, im sure the head work with cams and bigger throttle body will be pretty sweet the stag is my family wagon, cant fit in a r33 so was always keen for the stagea being a nissan gtr fan. so tuneable, heaps of parts, pretty much like your coupe but 100kw less =)
  25. wont be using the sard top manifold extra injector setup tho, hold that for a while and see how the inital tuning goes. perhaps later for 250
