Piggy Back And Ecu Tuning Discussion
Tangles replied to AlexCim's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
whilst you cant real time tune the S1, Im happy with your ecu chip along in conjunction with SAFC/SITC. I reckon the Toshi chip plus adjustment piggyback is the way to go -
^ exact same, bar $750 per year $ 23k value

go boostwerks you good thing !! new mechanic there too this week onwards, now 4 of em. Shaun & Troy, Adam the apprentice, and Andrew the new qualified mech on site. so hopefully they can do better turn around times on upcoming work, thats Shauns aim anyhow. not in a hurry for mine back, just want the best job possible on the head rework and a top (safe) tune, for least $

What Are These Worth? - S1 Stag Rims
Tangles replied to Mickya's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I sold mine, with around 80% rubber on $100 16" 225 tyres, for around $400 delivered 2yrs ago. But, just sold my stock R34 mags for $380. Nowadays, and Ive noticed with a fair few R34 17" stock mags around for sale for the $400 mark. ie $100 a rim with tyre, Id probably only expect around $200 pickup or 300 delivered. ie around $50 a rim perhaps take the rubber off and sell that for $50 per rubber and $50 per rim -
no worries adam you've got my number, same goes.

when the Slide highflow went on, we brazed the old copper washer, did it up tight, and started the engine. burbling sound, then 3L of fresh oil LOL tighter than tight means that it didnt leak again. been off since then at the shop for head studs, and again next week for poncams, head work etc. just saying "tighter than tight" so as to not do what happened with mine lol the installer (did my shocks as well) liked smoking spd so that might have something to do with it teehehe yep that was sort of natural upon startup, took around 6 secs to fire up after cranking, enough time for oil to get in and lube it up.
-
yeah, I was just too sore. knees are shagged, so couldnt head out this time.' I will arrange a southern run from Lobethal to Victor in the Dec / New Year holidays, an early sun-ap start with the end at lunch, a few spots to stretch, meet up & catch late-risers, but 250km of driving.
-
do it up tighter than tight, if it leaks do up more no leak no worries - its oil straight from the engine so no bleeding or whatnot, just dont run with an ongoing leak!!

+100 attest to that. in a weeks time my Rb25 RS4 will be probably* the most mod'd S1 RS4 stag here in SA. everything bar bottom end will have been upgraded. keep it looking stock and drive like you are 100% switched on, and you have no issues. this I guarantee, fk not even a breatho in near a decade!!!!!!!!!! if you're in a meeting point with 30 other cars, and the law is there thru invite or just good ol police work initiation (lol good stuff lads in blu; just keep the phsyco's off the footpath right? ta.), any shit can go down, depending on how others handle it and how they present themselves. that goes for one exuberant corner taken far too fast, or a defect blitz in a carpark.
-
good work then, I thought that was the case (got wind and turned up). for sure would have been the most co-operable bloke there myself, but would have had a nice smiley chat too to the officers involved looking at "mods" within the vehicle (within includes engine bay). hell I keep my mod list on me in the car, aint no problem in showing it. but never invite potential trouble along imho. unless the law want to open the road up, take lead and chafeur us thru the Hills to delemere bwahahahah ! now we're on the same wave --- hooks left, hooks right, 260 and gaining, oh what was that in the left mirror? blue/red? meh who gives... push push back down, up up stand up body wind brake, slam down, push push, scraping left real wall schreeching sliding,,.... flick back, push push 260 and gaining......

by f**king gods ruby, dude, you of all should know that its unagreeable to invite the LAW on the "cruises" ie organised motor-vehicle runs seriously, you going to invite cops to your bike runs next? LOL love to see that. rode for a decade, every weekend in the Hills. as you do. Not ONE speeding fine in the Hills, Not ONE "pull-over" for me in my, what, 80,000(bike)kms in the Hills........... as would your rides. every ride. seriously, look at it with the helmet on, there is NO way in hell youd accept the Law out checking in on you and your mates while going for a "cruise" (blattt) .its ok for the Law to tag along organised motor vehicle cruises? no of course its not. what you do while on/in your vehicle is up to you, but to knowingly invite the Law along for the ride to watch/see is plain DAFT drive smart, ride smart. stay safe, stay out of trouble. my record, my actions shows this is indeed 100% entirely possible. you f**k around in sight and wear the consequences, go out where you cant hurt ppl (delemere rd) and use your god damn vehicle. to hoon in metro area asks for trouble. fck, i dont even get pulled over for breathos - its about how you present yourself I believe. ie how you hand your vehicle. granted not everyone can stay between the white lines (fkn bullshit, but how many out there cant drive straight'? we see it every day). to cruise with 20+ same make cars thru metro traffic also asks for trouble. IMO ************* Look, I'll arrange a southern hills road run one day (not a cruise), law will NOT be notified, it will NOT involve metro area until Victor harbor (after 250kms of driving) where it'll disperese. Mylor to Clarendon, down Bull Crk rd, thru Nangita, slow down thru the Victor rd, then hit it hard to Myponga, Yank, 2dvalley and delemere. Stags and Skylines. best time is usually a 7.00am leave the meetpoint on a Sunday morning, guarantees smooth roads, and a nice lunch to finish off in Victa. edit: rub's love ya mate, not going at you not at all. just my pov.

hmmm, some stags in photos looked "dangerously" low to me I for one cant agree with popp'n bonnets etc. I sit with Cubes here..... Fact is I NEVER get pulled over Roo, I cant understand how you do so often? Once in 10yrs of riding (last time I was pulled over, 8+yrs ago), and obviously never once in the Stagea (not even breatho) in 42months of ownership. Whilst I have no problem conversing with the police and assuring them Im not a bad guy, and whilst my car is highly modified it also looks dead stock.... but Id be arguing about the bonnet lifting of all cars, and if they went INTO my car Id ask for their reasoning and start taking notes. Every citizen has rights including those in position of authority, so make sure you "defend" yourself as best you can - even if nothing warrents you to go on the defence. The lowered stags right on 100mm (or lower) is of concern to me (ruins tyres/handling) more so than engine mods. The cops didnt do their job IMHO.

yeah so sorry !! amazing, stand up for 4hours at Jez's across the road sat night, sunday couldnt sleep till sun up due to the knees, and at 11am was no way could drive - could barely hobble.! fk these knees man.

finally got round to installing the lanparty x48 mobo only board Ive ever run that installed everything, running with drivers, 1st go off the bat. had to update bios (as you should) to recognise an updated-bios 3870X2 card due to the -2on1- display setup (run the 3870x2 with the 'asus top' bios setup 851/954mhz setup ~ 6% stable gain in performance just from bios update) very very nice board. LanParty LT x48-TR2 Intel QX6850 quadcore 3.0ghz CPU Asus Lion Square cpu cooler Asus 3870x2 1gb Video Card 3gb Patriot 1066mhz ddr2 Ram Thermaltake ram cooler Dell PhysX pci card 3x 320gb Sata HD in Raid0 1x 500gb Sata HD backup Dvd burner, Fdd, Fan & Temp controller, Vista Ulitame 64-bit Lian Li PC-V2010 huge-m0f0 tower G5 mouse, G15 key, Logitech X-530 surround sound, Sonar 5.1 usb headset, 22" proview 2ms Lcd "spare" kids & wife pc with my other board, also have a p5w dh deluxe sitting here, and 2x dead s900XT's that died whilst on water cooling system. so my choice water system is sitting idle atm. another day. Asus P5E Intel Q6600 quadcore 2.4ghz CPU Thermaltake VX typhoon cpu cooler MSI o/c Ati 2600xt 4gb OCZ Bronze 667mhz ddr2 Ram 2 x 200gb Sata HD's Dvd burner, Fdd, Vista, basic case, Wolf keyboard, Cyber Snipa mouse, Soloman 5.1 sound, Zalman headset, 19" Cmv 5ms Lcd grrr too much ebay'ing. moral to the story, keep on upgrading, buy for cheap and sell when upgrading, keeping what you dont flog off over the years as a 2nd good pc. better do some benchmarks now. had a 3rd 3870 Ati card, new, but onsold that to my brother when he grabbed a 24" screen. might grab a cheap $80 3850x2 1b tho just like the Stagea cant stop

Gday Again, Still Chasing Issues With My Wgnc34
Tangles replied to lilcrash's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
well, fixes: install a better fuel pump, such as a 040 Bosch, or gtr fuel pump if not interested in outlaying cash then at the least wire the fuel pump to a direct battery feed, to get more voltage (13.8v) a 2ndhand gtr fuel pump isnt expensive anyways. build a air:fuel ratio kit from jaycar and install and tune, or find a 2nd hand safc II off ebay. search to minimise the cost. use ngk BCPR6E copper .8mm vgruve plugs, under $20 for the 6. money definately not wasted, good for 20,000kms+ and 300rwkw grab the selleys 401 hitemp industrial silicone sealant, and a corking gun from bunnings ($15 the lot), and go nuts on the coilpacks. there will be plenty of sealant left for the toolbox so it isnt money wasted (lasts yrs). with the new sparkies, the coilpacks sealed to stop wasted spark, and a better fuel pump with directwire battery feed to deliver max output, put the car on the dyno and tune the air:fuel ratio. adjust the timing slightly, and you'll gain power whilst providing better fuel economy, and it should hit the nail on the head as far as R&R or wasted spark goes. my guess, $200 for the parts above all up plus a dynotune
