  1. hey sled, whats for breaky mate?? yeah thing is this is a long build for a 10yr+ ownership car - 3.5yrs so far, can see me owning her for 10yrs more. Ive got ALL the head gear ready to go to shaun for him to get done and tuned, and attessa servo oring repaired, cple other touch ups for fair bit under 2k dont need bottom end stuff at the moment, a good flowing head will be good for nice torque and boost power, easy 230kw then in future, maybe one day a few yrs time, redo the oil/water pump with good stuff, and the bearings/rods/pistons + new gasket kit (again) but for now the head work is what Im doing, poncams are going to sound so fricken awesome in the stagea. got a remappeed ecu in my stag (big chip to little chip adapter soldered in) so with fueling etc, i really figured top end would be the fun one to do first and maybe one day look at the bottom end later. head work, and my parts which Ive been getting over the past Six-months, are all up 5k including port, fit & tune, and Id say a bottom end build will be 4-to-5k as well. hmmmm. might go whack on the big throttle body ",
  2. well, Ive been quoted petrol money change out of 2grand to fit and tune the following: Cometic intake manifold gasket Cometic intake collector gasket Cometic exhaust gasket Cometic Head gasket 1.2mm x 87mm ARP head stud kit EPP 6mm viton Intake valve seals EPP 6mm viton Exhaust valve seals EPP Intake valve seats EPP Exhaust valve seats EPP Intake valve guides EPP Exhaust valve guides Q45 90mm throttle body Greddy Q45-RB25 adapter kit EPP clear cam gear timing belt cover Tomei oil gallery restrictor orifice Tomei hi-lift valve springs ~8.8mm Tomei 256/256 poncam camshaft set Gates Racing timing belt kit incl. tensioner and idler 2x 700cc Sard injector external intake manifold setup ryco oil filter, oil filter magnet set & Motul 4100 turbolite 10/40w oil Need a controller for the extra injectors tho........................ expect, with the sards, there should be enough fuel injc. headroom to push a nice comfortable 230kw tune., with heaps big torque then thats it, bar pistons/rings and rods/bearings; maybe in 5yrs time. lol
  3. dave, get a quote from Boostwerks to fit the gcg turbo, to do the exhaust studs, and to tune talk to shaun and say big brendan sent you ask him if he's got a blown r33 turbo on hand ~
  4. hmm, never had trouble myself. those blue bikes have been out for a few years now
  5. pfft, iced coffee = days supply of food lol, and I wonder why Im shedding some kgs dont eat 'till tea time
  6. Dave, Id suggest buying a blown turbo (r32, r33 or r34/vg30 turbo) for $100, get that done by gcg, and sell your r34 turbo (worth $450 as its a large rear housing, bigger than r32 and r33 turbo's) an r32 gcg highflow (Sydneykid uses one) has no lag, better than stock I hear, good power for around 240rwkw an r33 gcg highflow is slightly lagier than stock, neither here nor there, but great power for around 250rwkw an r34/vg30 highflow is bigger again, more lag than stock (use a good ebc to set the gain, etc), but massive power up around 270rwkw Id be selling your turbo for as much as possible ($500 is a decent sale price, delivered with oil line, lol), and spending $200 on a blown skyline turbo and the pirtek oil line depends if you want to muck around a little to maximise your savings best of luck (thats what I did with Slide, gave him a blown R32 and blown R33 turbo, and had the R33 one sent back to me, sold my turbo, all up change over cost no more than $600)
  7. sounds like for ease of fitment the GCG is the way to go, and sell your turbo for a few hundred. grab a custom oil line anyway, braided of course. Got mine made at Pirtek for around $60. standard water line should be a.o.k. but you could replace both at once.....
  8. beaut !!!! very nice. either or in regards to mudguards, keep em or ditch. probably keep em on I suppose love those wheels as well, would love a set myself. DaveB, the heights are 595 for both front L&R, and around 575 for both rears hope that helps the BJR mags are cheap at $100 each
  9. ta
  10. yeah its good, thanks again. even better: 2nd december, Boostwerks is doing ALL the stagea head work and retune, service and attessa servo/o-ring repair. very reasonable quote too. very reasonable I reckon, considering theres porting etc to be done (Im supplying almost everything, bar cam gear seals and one gasket) will be around 230awkw Id say, with tonnes of torque shite, 18k car plus 18k mods lol
  11. cheers !
  12. alls good. same
  13. bunny you're a lovely minded lass, you are NOT what that low life says of you you are who your heart says you are, and with a beautiful heart like yours... that guy is cookoo trash bin him, if he gives you heaps there are plenty who will look after you..... and that goes for all sau'ers hey. big uncle brendy is here for you.

  16. I subconsciously yell out "100 points!" everytime I run over a granny and/or her little doggy my bumper bar is pretty trashed now, but with 15,000 points on my account should be ok to redeem them for a new bumper
  17. sweet see you then 1
  18. man, the GT2871 sounds like the best option. for an auto stagea, 240rwkw maxing out the turbo and injectors (with fpr & ecu), sounds great mate !! best of luck edit: sounds like my slide turbo, just a bush bearing unit.
  19. a hks 2530 is good for around 230wkw, which is exactly where the injectors max out. with a good tune, using piggyback ecu(s) such as remap stock ecu + emanage ultimate, or safc&sitc combo, or the new vi-pec ecu, good boost controller, big fuel pump like 044 or 040 Bosch, Nismo adjustable fuel pressure regulator, z32 afm, good fmic & air intake and full 3" hiflow exhaust, thats what youd be looking for. 220-230kw best of luck with it oh edit: lag - what lag?? lol like a rb20 turbo but twice as good !! ie, no lag on the RB25det engine, pull right thru to 5500rpm before starting to run out of puff, good useable power, great for on the street for 0-100kmph stuff Id say
  20. +1 interested saw that deal on ebay lol jps trading hey here's a 2530 atm: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HKS-GT2530-Turbo-R3...p3286.m20.l1116
  21. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HKS-GT2530-Turbo-R3...p3286.m20.l1116 hks 2530 for $1000 there you go, thats the sort of upgrade for budget money that gives the best bang for buck for a few years at least, if that gets 5 yrs of good usage in your stagea then isnt $200 p/y good value for money upgrade?
  22. Bill can be f.o.s. in my opinion, the gt30 on your setup would be laggier than a GCG hiflow for the ebay unit, dont bother, if you're going for journal bearing go for water & oil cooling on ebay, look for known brands like hks, or a local aussie hiflow (they pop up now and then, like a gt30 but journal bearing (not BB) with oil/water cooling for a grand. If youve got $1800 to spend then yes go the GCG, of youve got $1400 look for a rebuild hiflow rb20, rb25 or vg30 turbo with water/oil cooling (either Ball Bearing or 360% bush bearing) or look thru jps trading limited, or similar, on ebay for a used 5000km old hks 2530 for $1100 from japan I spent $600 plus a turbo with Slide for the rb25 rebuild hiflow 360degree bush bearing oil water cooled 250rwhp turbo. bargain, 2yrs old this month, unbeatable value
  23. correct save the coin and opt to court =)
  24. you can, just not legal on road in Aussieland plenty pop up in NZ from japan. 2.6TT or 2.5T worked, either or is good
  25. retune, then say that again !! lol
