  1. im still trying to figure out how it all works... but if i got a 040 fuel pump, do i also need a fuel regulator ? im guessing i need it with any aftermarket type pump ?
  2. now you've fixed it all up its time to donate me your powerfc please
  3. i got no idea bout auto's/34's etc.. but when your driving around do you get extra boost at 4500rpm ? If you do, then you should be right to do the mod. Either way though, it only takes a second or 2 to fix back up if it doesnt work.
  4. My 96 r33 doesnt do anything differantly after i reset the ecu. Done it a few times now, same result. Im sure it does affect some skylines however not mine.. Just wanted to let ya know incase you reset it and your waiting and waiting for something to exciting happen Anyways I think once you have reset it, you can just go for a bit of a hard drive around for 30 minutes and that should do the trick.
  5. theres a cable at front of the car which connects to the indicators. One one each side. whoever installed the intercooler maybe just forgot to put them back in. Stick your hand behind the indicators and you might be able to find / plug it back in, otherwise you might need to take off the front bumper and plug em in first.
  6. hmmm.. so just the speedo is also plug and play ?? as oposed to just the meter ? The ones listed on the site you mentioned, how much are they ? Im looking at getting something like that for my 33 gtst.
  7. hey tommyk, what sorta mods are involved in 'stage 2' upgrade ??
  8. which car you want to buy from them anyways ?
  9. ya im talking about the nunawading store. Tint professor people were gr8 btw, they gave me great deal on tinting AND they kindly told me how my car hadnt been worked on all day (like kamakazee motors had told me) but instead sat in there driveway. Oh btw, I got my car in december 2004. A few weeks ago when I moved I told vicroads i changed my address, so i had to change my licence / car rego. Surprise surprise they hadnt bothered to tell vicroads it was now MY car.... 6 months on. I think these days you could find a car waaaay cheaper if you bought it privately, seems most ppl get desperate to sell real quick. The only advantage if you buy it through an importer is you get conned into buying the $$$$ warranty which doesnt actualy cover anything when your car brakes down
  10. if you have those mods and a safc2 or powerfc etc.. you'll get 190kw-200kw.
  11. cool thanks r33GTS-t-200kw
  12. so once the wheels are spinning I put my foot on the brakes whilst accelerating ?
  13. ya i got them. i've noticed your signature/picture refers to this very subject gimi some tips would ya ? hehe
  14. sky, on the left and right of the BOV there will a bolt holding it onto the pipe. If you take off these 2 bolts, and all the little rubber pipes connected to it you should be right.
  15. If i can just do it once ill be happy
  16. nah the wheels spin heaps but once they start spinning the car generaly goes forward/hops around. I rev her, take my foot off the clutch, and put it on the brake while accelerating or something to that affect ya ?
  17. ok lets assume ive spent lots of money whats step 2 ???
  18. Ok people maybe I missing something here.. but like how do you do a burnout ? I've tried the hole revving her then quickly braking thing.. the car just hops along as if the brakes are to strong or something.. I went to calder for the first time tonight, and god its embarassing not doing the hole burnout thing before hand Never realy anoyed me until now (due to the fact I hadnt been to calder b4) So I need detailed instructions on how exactly to do it please. Also I know doing burnout before race wont realy affect my car/tyres since it isnt exactly a a full on drag car, but its pissing me off now that I cant. question> thanks heaps ppls
  19. I bought my R33 from them and Im very happy with the car........but i'd never go back again. They have no clue whats going on, and they are also very dishonest. After my first service, there was a rattle.. so i took the car back the next day, that afternoon i call them up.. "yes yes its all fixed".. I had heard from the people at the tinting shop next door my car had been in the driveway the entire day. Funnily when I got it back it still had the same rattle. 3 visits back it was all fixed!!! Not to mention they helped themselves to my stock intercooler in the boot.... helped them selves as in stole....... and they also "replaced" my brilliant windscreen wipers with some pieces of crap which dont actualy seem to wipe anything (kinda odd..). My $850 new clutch I purchased from them also turned out to be worth about $300. I know places add on markup obviously but thats ridiculous. anyways so to summarise stay clear of them. Its time all these dodgy places smarten up. Also normaly I wouldnt be so mean publicaly but im just answering somebodies question (theres more as well, but the above should cover it for now)
  20. im just thinking out loudly.... but i'd say if you can set it for 9 or 12psi.. you'd tune the safc @ 12psi. To get to 12psi it obviously has to go past 9psi anyways. by tuning it to the highest psi level, its going to no what to do from 1-12psi all the time (so all your boost levels are covered). More importantly though the safc doesnt realy care about boost levels. if its set to give e.g 3% less fuel @ 5000rpm, it will do that regardless of what the turbo is doing if im not mistaken.. It basicaly just controlls the air/fuel at certain rpm levels. If you took your turbo out of the car and went for a drive, the car would run pretty crap obviously, but the safc will still do the exact same thing at the exact same rpm levels as it would of with the turbo's attached
  21. Thanks heaps for that Careful though with some of the skyline service manuals, might be some copyright issues..?
  22. When i installed the intercooler I was only running stock 5-7psi boost. So I wasnt realy expecting that much of a differance. There was a small differance in the power but as well as some added lag . I was kinda more impressed with the cool wooshing noises it was making though That same day we put the 3" exhaust on and that made a big differance to power which I could feel straight away. I rekon I would of got the same results above with most intercoolers though so its hard to say. All I know is it goes incredibly cold real quick and lets me run more boost
  23. was the $20 for a normal alarm or was that for a gps tracking alarm type thing ?
  24. i think there about $1500 or so. I got mine for $1200 during xmas sale. Was abit expensive but i wanted to test out the credit card. I think with the gtr cooler you'd need custom pipes to hook it up. The blitz one uses the stock pipes in the engine bay, whereas the gtr one is like most intercoolers and has the pipes going left and right. I do prefer the look of the normal/gtr intercooler over mine though
  25. Al_r33 i've got the blitz one your talking about. It works realy well. On boiling hot days the output side of the intercooler is always freeeezing for ages after you turn off the car. On thing about that intercooler though is the intake pipe that goes into the intercooler sits 1cm or so lower than the front bumper, so you goto go extra slow over the bumps etc.
