  1. I have access to a 1998 black R33 GTR that could lend you the driver's seat. It's not my car though and the owner is in Thailand atm. Obviously I'd need to ask him first.
  2. I'm not so much interested in gaming as trading HDD contents. I would quite happily sit at a PC (or 2) and burn baby burn for the sharing of knowledge and such for greater SAU-SA community.
  3. I've completed 34 laps around the sun... and I feel it tonight.
  4. Why is your username Joe and &33? Is it Joe and Ampersand33? Is it Joe and and 33? Do you stutter? Is it a typo? Is it relevant? Again I remind you to read the above mentioned disclaimer.
  5. Whilst others here have listed very good advice I think they missed the most important stuff. To go fast in a Skyline you need stickers. Preferably Mines or Nismo but HKS & GReddy will do. Next get some neons under the front bar, side skirts and rear bar and you will see your car pull out 2 lengths over a non-neoned WRX regardless of what engine mods it has. Finally you need an amp and bass. Doof = db = killa whats... as in "What the f__k was that eh?" After you have these things you need some 19" chrome rims with spinners. ***Disclaimer: It is late and I'm bored waiting to see if my off peak download time has been uncapped. You have plenty of good advice in the posts above***
  6. Good find. Great vid!
  7. So did you do a few laps Ben? I went around in 2006 in a Porsche Cayman S. I'm hanging to go back in a GTR one day. Was the car park full of millions of euros worth of machinery?
  8. That story made me all warm and fuzzy inside. Good to see the guy got his ride back and the cockhead that stole it gets what he deserves.
  9. Cool. Thanks.
  10. I had to wait 14 years before I could get a GTR. At 19 you are barely off of your Ps. GTRs cost a lot to maintain and even more to repair. Most R32 GTRs are now 15-18 years old and will need a rebuild soon if they haven't had one already. Unless you get one that is mostly stock, never been boosted and was serviced regularly be prepared to fork out big $ every year. These are hard to find and generally cost more to begin with. Stick with your GTST for now.
  11. Nice looking car. Those rims look just like mine but I don't think they are BBS. Hard to tell. Have fun driving around and keep the standard exhaust if you change it as you (and others) may need a stock one to get through Regency at some stage. Could be a little money earner for you if you hire it out to people.
  12. Yes please!!!
  13. I was trying to aviod the randoms that end up in your league and just have 16 people that will manage their team for the whole season instead of randoms that don't touch their team after 3 rounds. If you want to be in the league PM me your email address. I called the league SAUSA.
  14. Not a huge response. The buy in was only an idea to make it interesting and keep people playing as the league I played in last year had people drop out. We can make them both free if that gets more people interested where the winner just gets bragging rights. It is more fun playing against people you know and the banter between games is better. I can email people a letter which lists all preseason Dream Team scores of players in the NAB Cup & NAB Challenge and you download a pdf of all players 2007 SuperCoach games, averages and total points from the link I provided above. There are weekly prizes of $1000 and a car and $50,000 cash prize for the overall winner (last year over 230,000 people participated in Dream Team)
  15. Anyone here interested in participating in the AFL Dreamteam & Herald Sun SuperCoach fantasy football competitions? I was thinking of a $10 buy in with of prizes $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd and $10 (money back) for whoever wins the bottom eight competition. For those who haven't played before Dreamteam info can be found here: http://afl.virtualsports.com.au/ SuperCoach info can be found here: http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/ I need 14 other people to fill the league. Teams need to be picked prior to the Round 1 lockout on Thursday. You need to be invited to the private league by me so PM me your email address. Cheers David aka writeoff
  16. Spotted LTHLRB on Anzac Hwy last night about 11:30pm heading into town and I parked 2 spaces behind V8KILLA in town. We both did import parks (at least 30cm from the kerb so no risk of scraping the wheels).

    My Car

Congrats on the purchase. You nearly got a Skyline.
  18. Thanks again everyone for your comments. It is sad to see that so many others have gone through this before - myself included. It was really hard coming home to an empty house tonight. No sloppy tongue hanging out and no tail wagging to greet me. I will get another dog at some stage but not for some time yet. 3 years passed between my first dog and getting Kennedy. I imagine a similar time will pass this time. At least my parents took some photos of him while I was away.
  19. Thankyou everyone for your kinds thoughts and words. I am truely touched and both laughed and shed a tear when reading the messages above. One of my friends in melbourne said that I would be surprised by people that can empathise and offer support and already SAU has proven this to be true. Please give all your pets a hug from me tonight... except fish.
  20. Today I had to put down my best friend Kennedy. He became ill late Thursday night (the night I finally got my GTR back on the road) and I took him to the vet the next day. He seemed to improve and was back home on Saturday (my birthday) and by Sunday was eating and moving around again. About 6:30 am Monday morning he took a turn for the worse and was vomiting regularly. I took him back to the vet and again he seemed to improve enough that the vet said I could pick him up this afternoon. Only 2.5 hours later the vet called to say there was blood in his stool and urine. They opened him up and found a large cancer growth near his kidneys. At 3:15 pm I had him put down. I'm absolutely devasted as I live alone and he kept me company especially in recent years after bad car crashes where I spent a lot of time at home. In 2003 when I was at my lowest ebb and was searching for just one reason to continue living it was his unconditional love that I found. He was the only creature on this planet that was happy to see me everytime he saw me. He was a German Shepherd cross Red Heeler and lived for 12 years and 10 months, 11/5/95 - 11/3/08. RIP Kennedy. Have fun in doggy heaven and I hope we'll see each other again.

  22. Yeah I saw that. I was checking it against my old dyno sheets when the HKS EVC was working. The sheets below go from right (oldest) to left (just prior to blowing engine) The same early spike and then drop off occurs on the low boost setting on an earlier dyno run as well. You can see it on the second sheet below dated 12.4.06. The high boost (blue line) is set at 17psi and trails off to 16psi where as the low boost setting (red line) spikes initially to 12psi and then drops off to 9psi. Interesting.
  23. hee hee hee hee I had fun tonight. I'm grinning like a guy who just scored on prom night. Here is the dyno sheet:
  24. Are there any more details about this? I seem to recall seeing a flyer somewhere in here but had too many drinks in Fiji to recollect accurately. Edit. I didn't allow the page to finish loading up. The flyer was in the post above mine.
