  1. Yeah. I scored hugh brownie points when I first suggested it as she is a salsa dancer but both of us were surprised that it turned out to be an Italian restaurant. Still had a good meal in a relaxed seventies atmosphere. It was a bit cold for a walk along the beach though as we were both in short sleeves and I didn't have any tops or blankets in the Pug.
  2. Sure, sure. It went past you didn't it? Tell the truth. We won't think any less of you...
  3. Something like this?
  4. It turns out that she is a bike chick and had a nice street bike in the garage. She's into cars as well. I spoke about your bike and offer of the SLED. Cafe Salsa was good but not what I expected.
  5. Thanks for your reply. Can you explain why the car has been here for over a year and not registered? What import law was it brought in under? Did you import it yourself or has it had other Australian owners? Cheers
  6. I knew I had seen this car before: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Or...-S-t153550.html There is an engine bay photo there as well. Some answers from the other thread (from a year ago) were: Location: Brisbane Service History: Yes (where?) Milage: 100,000km (25.2.07) VIN: not provided These may have changed though so check with the seller. I am interested in this car but need more info before I consider handing over $. Is it currently registered? Has the timing belt been changed? Where has it been serviced? What rule was it imported under? Where was it complied? How many owners (in Australia & Japan if known)? Dyno graphs? More recent photos? Are you open to an inspection at a workshop where they can check the car, do a compression test & dyno run? Thanks.
  7. +1 Location? Have you got more recent pics as those are nearly a year old? I seem to recall having seen them before.
  8. 川添 Kawazoe (riverside) 直樹 Naoki (straight tree) ... huh? Or 川添 Kawazoe (riverside) 雄大 Masahiro (big hero) if I use my middle name as well.
  9. Dude, IF he has going above 60kmph (and I'm not suggesting he was) do you really expect him to state it on a public forum whilst the crash is still being investigated or even send it to you via PM if he doesn't know you? And if he does know you why didn't you just send him a PM in the first place? Also could be interested in parts if you decide to buy the wreck back.
  10. Sounds like a really good idea but would people be able to drive shortly after giving blood? My mum gives blood regularly and sometimes feels ill afterwards and has to lay down for a while. I've picked her up a few times. Just asking as I really don't know.
  11. Depending on your own mechanical knowledge it might be worth trying to get someone to have a look over it for you who would know what is undamaged and reusable before buying it back. Really glad that no one was hurt but damn! I feel for you mate. Good luck!
  12. All you able to salvage some of the parts? There look to be some nice goodies in the engine bay.
  13. THANKS!!!! I have printed this up and now have it in writing.
  14. Thanks. I only had 2 of these sites. I also use www.tradecarview.com
  15. Thanks for the shots Steve. I'm assuming that you went for 35% all around? How dark are the driver's & passenger windows at night. I had trouble with dark tint on these windows on previous cars at night, especially if there are no street lights.
  16. *cough* and some 32s * cough*
  17. Honestly never heard of them. Is it a GTST or a GTR? You have probably read other threads here that recommend certain workshops. You could find out for us and give us your opinion or go to the tried and trusted places that most on here go to.
  18. I agree. I wasn't going to have a meal on the first date. Just drinks and nibbles and maybe icecream later. Less pressure and less $ blown if it turns out that you don't really like each other that much.
  19. If it's on the original turbos & hasn't had an engine rebuild then the turbos and internals will be 14-18 yo. Most will have had the boost turned up and are therefore running well beyond the original design of the car. I'd want one that had newish steel wheeled turbos and a proper engine rebuild preferably done in Australia by a well known workshop with a good rep that knows what they are doing. It's unlikely you would find these cars for less than $22k but I don't really check R32 GTR prices that often now so I could be wrong.
  20. What sites are you using as I like to keep an eye on the market and look to see if a M Spec Nur or 400R come up for sale?
  21. Trust me I know the prices of bringing them over and getting them through Regency and then getting all the goodies refitted. It was alot more than the cost calculators at J Spec or Prestige predicted. Insurance isn't so bad through Shannons with >30yo, rating 1, multiple policies, and limited km.
  22. If $ are a consideration then I would recommend staying away from GTRs, especially 15-18K GTRs. GTRs eat money... like Pac Man. Really! Ask anyone whose has owned one for 12 months or longer. If I added up both GTRs then I would be close to the $100k mark. I was referring to the grey garage ornament I have with a GTR badge. The white one has had a new owner for some time now.
  23. I have spent alot but not $100k... yet! And 2002 R34 GTR V Spec II Nurs can be bought in Japan right now from 4,980,000 - 7,180,000 Yen (AUD$51,710 - 74,554) + shipping, customs, import tax, compliance etc. I have spent in between those amounts and still going... Edit: Original link didn't work. I grabbed these prices from Goo-net http://www.goo-net.com/english/
  24. +1 With hindsite I wouldn't have bought my 1989 R32 GTRs and just sat on the cash in 2003 until now where I could've bought an 2002 R34 GTR V Spec II Nur or M Spec Nur for nearly the same money I've spent on my R32.
