  1. I just wen tand spoke to Jim from Croydons regarding the new plenum as for greater lag has anyone had a jun plenum but on there car in australia because jim has, and the fact that he gained reponse from putting the plenum on was good to hear and the car that had the plenum installed has HKS 2530's. he said they had full boost at 2500RPM about 22 psi i think. Ive seen the greedy intake and the JUN inlet is much smaller, thou looking at in pickers makes it look very big. i've also looked at an Endless intake and that too is very big. Sorry Sk as for the head studs/bolts it must have been a misstake as i'm not a mechanic and Jim does all the work. and for the hks pods yes they are expossed but only for a week longer until a box is made. The cams are 260inn and 260out with 9.15mm of lift. as for AFM thats one of the things i forgot to put up they are Z32 afm's. the whole issue with the combined dump thing, they were not rederly availible at the time and we were told by someone who sold them (in queensland)that they had got more power with the combined dumps. they seem to work.
  2. Drop it out of a plane and get the cops with there radar to be standing underneath it and get them to check the speed. HAHA thats a joke ! the cops wouldn't do that for you.
  3. mate i have seen jim from croydons make 35o kw at the wheels with n1 turbos'. i was beside the car when it pulled this figure. once you have done the turbos take it back to get the cams dialed in and get the computer retuned. i don't think those 550 are going to last you very long if you keep modding the GTR.
  4. The reason we have done the whole thing straight up is because when you start to replace a part with something else your putting all the strain on another part so we tried taking out the weak links. by doing it all in one go it did cost a lot but some people rebuild there engines multiple times due to no not doing somthing they should have the first time. the main reason is because its driven all the time and the car can not be off the road constantly. I'm going to have a look at a JUN inlet Plenum today and we will mate it up with a QF45 throttle body as the 100mm ones we have been told is too big for our application. to answer another question ues the cars engine should be able to handle a lot more power but we are only using GT-SS turbos(street driven all day). but i thinkit will be interesting to see how much power these little turbos can produce.
  5. sorry i'm not sure but was your dyno run done in rwd only? i'm also looking foward to seeing your new time down the strip!
  6. thanks mate...
  7. its only slightly over sized from the standard 2628cc i think, the engine was all built at CRD by jim and the gang there. As for its intention its driven 5 days a week and sometimes on the weekend. but the car should be going out to drag combat and also going to the race track for lap times. i have no idea how quick it will be but we want to do something with the qearbox to strengthen it up. also Peter how many revs do you use to get the car of the line and do you drop the clutch or ride it with lots of revs. we are in need of a JUN intake plenum if anyone knows of one that is for sale we also need the throttle body as well.
  8. i forgot to mention yes it is a GTR and if i thinkof anyhing else i write it up one thing is a full set of tomei gaskets and heaps of custom inlet piping from the turbos to the cooler and from the air filters to the turbo's and intercooler to the plenum.
  9. sorry guys i was at work today. as for work done to the car everything jun internals tomei cams tomei cam gears ported head jun valve springs split fire coil packs Trust cooler oil cooler CRD 9L sump jun oil pump n1 water pump new stainless manifolds dump pipes twin three inch front into single 3'' cat back power Fc sard furl rail sard 700cc injectors sard fuel reg twin bosch pumps advan surge tank twin 3/8 fuel line os tripple plate hks air filters all new arp head bolts jun main bolts mines rocker cover baffles hioctane oil breather blitz id boost controller and power meter i thinkthats it the only thing ithat has to be done is bigger valves, jun inlet and 4''exhaust as well as titanium retainers.
  10. i would think you would just make power earlier, and maybe a little bit more up top but the increase down low should make the car quicker.
  11. in that case you don't have the money for less lag as a good set of manilolds is about eh same money. i would just the cam gear and get Jim from croydons to give it a tune.
  12. yeah thats right. which car do you have? and we are talking about chris B right? as for torque its up there. but we are going to put a 4'' exhaust on it and see if we can gain another 20kw
  13. you can get the manifold that i would think may help but i thinkyou may have to invest in a set of cams and cam gear and then get someone with lots of experience to tune the whole thing.get the cams thing is of course if you don't already have some. you could also get the head ported and get some splitfire coils theymay both help a bit.
  14. I forgot to mention that the turbo's we used, were HKS GT-SS.
  15. Hey guys i know its been along time coming but we went back to CRD today to get our new 02 sensors put in and have the cam gears tuned. The result was 332KW at all four. the max power was with 21 PSI as for a picture i'll get one up ASAP. as for the lag there is a bit there, but you get going soo quick you don't mind. This was with a 8500RPM rev limiter set max power was at around 7500RPM. Also we made 280 KW with only 15PSI Cheers
  16. how much just for the rear rotors? could you pm me.
  17. i've had the same problem with an audi we were having probs at higher boost but when we wound it back down the problem was still there, and we traced it back to faulty coils, thanks to the computer telling us which coil was stuffed.
  18. Mate, give mark from Performance Manufacturing a call he can do all your piping out of aluminium mandrel bends PH.97560495 he did a freak of a job on our GTR, Tell him the guy with the GTR you guys did with the blump back TRUST Type R in the 33. he will know who your talking about and he does the best job around, bar none. BEN
  19. Simple don't use light throttle!! ha ha My o2 sensors are stuffed and the fuel milage sucks arse! I have ordered new ones .
  20. same just go the 700,if its worth doing, its worth doing it right! i've got the 700cc and we've got 290KW at all four.
  21. G Z all is good going back next week for some more power i will post the power in a NEW THREAD. hope for 320 fingers crossed!
  22. RB_26 i've told you i've got all SARD stuff in our car and have had no problems and never skips a beat. i got mine of nengun as well.
  23. As for ustasa sying go for somthing big light 272 just letting you know i have both the same cams and same turbo's and i make 290 awkw at only 18 PSI at 8000 RPM with it still pulling like a steam train at 8000. yes i'm going to raise the limiter to 9000 as we have jun vlave springs and put around 21 psi and see what happens.
  24. The first one looks like it has a bit of shaft play i would take it back (no Good)!
  25. nice to see your on the forum, i was the bloke who was about to do a power run with the black golf GTI.
