You're no doubt doing everyone a favour by taking a risk and getting Brad some cash flow so he has the opportunity to make good on his debts. The alternative is he walks away and we all lose out. It's just disappointing how Brad is handling things. If he had told me he was broke and needed 6 months to get the money together I would be far more comfortable than I am now having been promised money 6months ago and not hearing a word since.

I used a 2 pack epoxy from Phoenix paints, not cheap or easy but well worth it in the end.

Sorry Aggroman. But I took issue with comments like 'get over it' or people losing up to 6k in one hit not being good reasons for mods to remove trader status. Plenty of people have posted positive feedback about brad without feeling the need to brush of the pretty big issues a lot of others are having.

I've set up with the canton valve, had a quick look and the moroso item appears identical. I'll grab an earls flapper and compare pressure between the two when the thing gets run in.

How did you guys conclude the canton valve is a big restriction - did you measure pressure either side?

You would put a tee in the line in between the filter and the factory oil filter housing with a one way valve immediately before the tee.

I think what he was correctly saying (along with a few others) is that a hydrodynamic bearing generates its own oil film. What you have described is a hydrostatic bearing.

Thanks! Cheers Michael. There is a trash screen on the pick-up but I've been wondering if I should add a coarse inline filter, say 120micron, pre-pump. What do you guys use on your dry sumped race engine? This sort of stuff makes me very nervous! Hopefully all bases are covered with the trash screen and other oiling safety measures (accusump, warning lights etc). The build is getting towards the pointy end now. Dash is back in, harness eye bolts installed and bled the brakes. Also did a trial fit of all the exh & wastegate piping on the dummy motor to check clearances.. After seeing the above Geoff from FullRace recommended moving to newer MVR wastegates as apparently they handle the temps a bit better even without utilising the water cooling. Engine build wrapped up last week and by Saturday I had this sitting in the garage With info from Michael (r33_racer) the inlet side water lines have been re-run in 120 series hose. Can also see the rb25 knock sensors here and just out of view the OS GIKEN quad plate. Motor and box going in together - surprisingly easy despite doing it solo Pretty pleased with how it's come together. All that's left now is bolting on the rest of the ancillaries and wiring. Then wheel alignment before towing it up to the engine builder for first start and run in.

I have a slightly different front gate orientation on my fullrace mani but check my thread for an alternative solution.
