I have nothing against trucks as they are a neccesary requirement for our economy etc etc... They already pay extra tax, huge fuel costs - purely because of quantity purchased tho, huge maintenance costs - not cheap to service a truck. They are an annoyance - BUT - they aren't driven by angry middle aged men who try and intimidate people (Not always the case I admit) On the subject of bullbars - If you were to conduct an experiment where it involved a sports car (or any other car) and a 4WD with a bullbar where you drove the vehicles into objects resembling humans at the same speed, I'm sure the 4WD would cause more damage - The force of impact behind the 4WD would be much greater due to increased mass, the damage caused would be greater as the bullbar would focus the points of impact into much smaller surface areas, transmitting the shock over a much smaller area causing more severe yet localised(probably) injuries - INITIALLY until the person was hit by the rest of the vehicle.. I'm sure using physics equations you could work out the forces exerted exactly by each vehicle over the affected areas - unfortunately it has been a while since I have done any and cannot remember off the top of my head... But yeh - if I had a choice in which vehicle was going to take me out, I'd choose a smaller car..

What about wheels? Do I need to change my wheels to fit the calipers and rotors?? Will 15's fit??

My R32 splutters a little on startup.. only when cold - would/could this be the injectors?

Yeh my street isn't so bad, but driving to my mates place I have to go past this cops place and he looks like shrek and is probably about half as smart too.. I always stare and laugh at him.. He drives a falcon too...

People on suburban roads dislike my car... expecially when they are trying to sleep... and this is when I'm doing the speed limit... I know what you mean, they stare at you...

One air bleed point is on the heater hose on the firewall... have a look and you will see it... not sure if the GTR's have one on the plenum as the GTSt's do... Your problem sounds strange that the temp drops when you stop fanging it... I had bad cooling issues with mine and at first it was a blocked radiatior, then it was a leaky core and end tanks... In the end I just had the whole radiator replaced as it was not servicable... cost me just over 700 for a brand new radiator and all associated labour & fluids etc.. But once it got hot - it woulnd't cool down... Your issue probably different to mine. I'd get yours checked out by a proper radiator joint, but try all these other options first... Don't take it to a performance place to get them to sort it out.. you will end up paying a lot more... trust me I know..

Plus our high powered sports car have more than adequate safety equipment to slow down or handle road conditions the same if not better than other cars, esp 4WD's Big brakes - Big tyres - Better supsension AND I would hazard a guess and say rarely that we block other motorists view... except with smoke...sometimes...maybe

Now he proceeded to sit up my arse for a few k's. I had a pretty bad day up to that point and wasn't in the best of moods - I know I should have left the attitude outside the car before I got in but... you know... I slowed down so if he wanted to go past he could - but no - he didn't... By this stage I was pretty irate so I gave him the ol 'hit the brakes take it up the batty' manouever... Lets just say he wasn't too happy. He then proceeded to follow me - I thought f**k this and gave it a footfull and left him behind. What really shat me was he was doing the wrong thing to begin with and then got angry at me!! I gave him ample opportunities to get past - being a two lane road and all. Idiot!! Admittedly I should not have done that, but on the other hand he shouldn't be driving that close to me for no reason.. And yes I know this is not a 4WD problem only - could be any car, but it is just an example of the type of person I see driving these cars from day to day...

I was reading a report that someone posted a link up for a little while ago about the stereotypical 4WD driver... was a middle aged man or some shit... seemed pretty true... road rage sufferer too. Tell your mum to get a new car... With the corner thing tho at least with normal cars if you can't see past the bonnet, you can at least look through the windows... you can't on a 4WD... maybe if I made the car lower I could see under - that way if I get pulled for it, I'll just tell the cops its to aid in my driving vision...

Same with an X5 - ?? Why would you take that off road?? really?? Another major thing that shits me is when you are at a give way/stop sign and there is a 4WD next to you.. you can't f**king see!! You have to edge out onto the road to see whats going to hit you/when you can go!! I'd be all up for the taxes! Big pieces of crap... they should be made to pay more!! On the subject of the light - maybe I have never been empty enough for it to come on..

Is the fuel light on the fuel gauge? maybe mine isn't functioning... Sorry to hijack.. Do you reckon I should check my injectors? maybe as part of my 100thou service.. I get about 350km to a tank Also I have noticed that the car runs pretty rich - apart from the obvious poor fuel economy - after having my zorst modified, the car will occasionally let out quite a big backfire... and it will pop quite a lot... what do you guys reckon?
