[Closed] Borg Warner Efr Series Turbos
[200] replied to Lithium's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Jeff, any 76mm sx-e in t4? they seem hard to get... -
It sounds like Griffin is the go to guy

Fair call, I did miss that part. I had a 6boost for a 2j engine, even a welder / fabricator with 28 years of real life experience said it was good. I am sure from time to time some do slip through the cracks - perhaps when a new apprentice starts or rush jobs - who knows. Could be a number of reasons but at the end of the day they do seem to have a good name and if you look under the bonnet at nearly every single car at a Jamboree event then there is a good chance you'll find a 6boost manifold.
-
If you're a welder then why didn't you fix it for him? Poor form to attack 6 boost with that example.
-
Why persist in posting? OP was very specific in what he wanted and doesn't care about your opinion. Move on.

Thanks. I was hoping they might have something in 76mm + compressor wheel / 87mm turbine. t6 is too big for my engine bay. Hopefully they will redo the 80mm or 82mm billet in the new compressor wheel configuration. I'll keep an eye out and send you an email when more info comes available. -

Have you received any info regarding the new s400-sxe range ? I noticed a SEMA 2015 video where a couple of reps from Borg Warner were talking about them. One in particular was an 88mm 10 blade compressor wheel with 1.15 a/r t6 exhaust housing. Any indication on what will be available for a t4 exhaust housing? Seems to be a bit of limited information so far, but some have been listed on Jegs too. I was about to buy a s400sx3 until I saw the video - might as well hold out a little longer. Thanks -

You know as much as I do. My motivation to sell it becomes less and less when people offer 2500 for it. I'll probably end up selling it in the USA since the exchange rate is so good. -

Rd28 Vs N1 Block Whichever Is Better For A Build?
[200] replied to GD51LA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Besides the point, given it was probably a $50 block to start off with. The issue is that rare that it shouldn't even be a consideration for choosing between an rb30 compared to the rd28. OP, there is a guy building up an rd28 block on these forums with a white r33 gts-t. Might be worth digging around and PM'ing him about the costs of machining the block. -

Pic of split rb30 block? you'll be blowing head gaskets before splitting a block and if you're worried about it then grout fill it. -

Heard Of Tog Stream Pipe For Rb26?
[200] replied to 32rulz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I had a look at their manifolds at world time attack last year. I don't think they back purge when welding as the insides were all sugary between the joins. They seem to grind out the rough bits to make it look pretty and smooth but it's quite obvious. -
Spend the extra money and only cry once.

I would personally save a little more and buy a billet performance product fuel rail and set of siemens deka injectors if using e85 or bosch injectors if using petrol. I wouldn't touch that Chinese junk after reading about first hand experience on another forum.
