  1. with the actuator disconnected, the wastegate will never open, which means boost will continue to rise as long as the throttle is open and the engine is ingesting air this basically means your running unlimited boost - be careful with this - it might go bang. what spring are u using in the actuator? what boost controller have u got setup? what exhaust setup do you have? have you checked the actuator / swing valve for play? does the wastegate flap actually open?
  2. if you are tracking the car you would be mad to do a rebuild and use 2nd hand std pistons
  3. boomslang.us they can do them for $180 delivered the RB26 BNR32 one is the same for R33 GTST - its just 1 for 1 mapping http://www.boomslang.us/extension.htm

  8. hey ya'll, im doing a clean up in my engine bay as the hks controller i have is toast i need to buy some new vacuum hoses, some joiners and some tiny cable ties does someone know a local distro in melb i can buy the vacuum hose, joiners etc from also free to good home 1 x hks evc III(old style) the unit works but has a known fault, when the fault occurs the solenoid surges on/off this makes the boost bounce and its annoying. the fix is to hit the unit or jiggle the wires

  15. as the others have said 225rwkw is too high 190 to 200rwkw is about spot on check what gear it was done in on the dyno sheet might have been 3rd gear or different diff gears in the back prehaps? what rpm do you 100km/h at in 5th gear?
  16. R32 PowerFC and other older legacy PFC"s -> exhaust temp light flashes R33 onwards PowerFC and other newer style -> engine check light flashes given that you have an R33 then it will be the RED cat temp light the powerfc does not use the RED cat temp light so you will have the stock ecu in this case the CAT is overheating or the cat temp sensor is tripping out

    Need Help

no check the oil when the engine is at operating temp use the dipstick and check the level of oil in the engine ok if you dont see the warning light at post diag then it could be dead so you could in fact have low oil pressure under load when you say it drops - what rpm does it drop to 2 at?

    Need Help

ah just realised its an aftermarket guage what does the stock one show when this problem occurs
  19. paulr33

    Need Help

when the engine is warm check how much oil you have does the guage drop to zero ? if not, what number? the stock cluster has an idiot light for low oil pressure so this should come on if in fact the guage is correct and you hit say near 0 oil pressure. make sure your oil pressure warning light works - turn the car to ACC (but dont start it). look for a red oil tin can icon - it should be on. if you can see it - i would expect this light to come with true low pressure
  20. rest in peace
  21. a/r 42 and M24 are cast on the compressor housing = GTR R32 stockers as the others have said GTR r33 ones are the same GTR r34 ones are 0.53 a/r
  22. nope - most of the apexi products stored the tune settings in nvram so power off doesnt change anything
  23. yeah i understand you can dial in any map snsor with offset and pim scale etc but if you have the stock apexi map sensor and you run say 15psi it could be say 4.2v if you run say a 3bar GM map sensor and you run say 15psi it could be say 2.6v once 15psi is in the manifild i dont see how pim1 voltage will increase any more
  24. sure its a big comprimise but if its at 6000pm then its not that bad how do you work around the same issue with a map snsor style setup
  25. haha thats a great idea good thinkin 99
