  1. yeah youd be better of selling it and buying a locall supported ecu you need a hks pro tuner who have the hks pro software to get it tuned
  2. it should be around -550mmhg on idle -40cm/hg is approx -400mmhg so its about right
  3. that gtst was thizzle's he is on the forums
  4. ill still be at work, wont be home till 7pm ish sorry
  5. engine load makes boost bring the engine under load, it will make boost quicker under first gear the ratio is that high the engine isnt under much load and just has lots of acceleration
  6. go 4wd'ing & camping out past licola
  7. yeah its cool, was on the way to work and it happened no biggie im gonna redo all the vac lines, just waiting for the apexi solenoid to arrive so ive got the complete pfc boost kit
  8. go out thursday
  9. i dont think either will make anywhere near 400kw more like 300kw. check the rb26 turbo upgrade thread for power and turbo combinations 400kw sounds like twin 2530s
  10. actually how long are u in melbourne for i am absolutely toast - thursday would be better ?
  11. i should be there if i dont come ill let you know drowsy as all hell though

  13. trust split dumps - they look porn
  14. yeah very i thought i had lost compression etc but then i realised that probably wasnt possible as it ran reasonable ok and made boost i was surprised it ran so well and made 0.40kgcm2 boost with a split hose - i thought idle would have been poo, smoke at idle etc and lots of popping farting as its basically atmo mode
  15. all sorted - its a split vacuum hose
  16. hey ya'll my rb25det this morning at idle -60mmhg rebooted car, checked throttle etc, all normal, no error lights, no whack sensors idle is -60mmhg ish and goes to -10mmhg when you open the throttle the car drives ok and makes boost but peaks out at 0.40kgcm2 and wont go past engine seems to run ok, doesnt feel laggy etc, drives normal, no smoke, no bangs etc the reading is coming from the apexi map sensor which uses the plenum signal that the stock guage uses the stock guage is unplugged - ill check pressure with that tonight assuming the sensor isnt whacko and manifold pressure is actually -60mmhg at idle what does this mean? usually its around -550mmhg and it rises slowly with an even throttle into positive boost pressure i havent checked anything mechanical / physical yet - will do that tonight
  17. hi, i suspect you were trying to do this ? http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/photo...ar/IMGP1049.JPG http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/photo...ar/IMGP1047.JPG http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/photo...r/IMG_7448_.jpg that was done by myself with the calipers actually on the car the rears i even left the wheels on and sprayed em (lots of newspaper) the fronts i just took the wheels off - using VHT gold caliper paint (ive got the part code somewhere) to do a front set one can is more than enough, you should use id say 2/3 maybe 3/4 for a front set of calipers - a full can is too much =========================================================================== make sure you have VHT brake caliper paint masking tape newspaper sandpaper - rought & fine time & patients 1. start again 2. be patient 3. sand back the calipers using some rough sand paper - its like $0.50 a sheet from autobarn get some rough grit and some soft grit. sand the calipers all over. you DONT have to remove the whole colour but just roughen it up if its done correctly the colour on the caliper should feel smooth, almost like rubbing on plastic. should take no more than 5 minutes to do a whole caliper ie: dont do it for 2 hours and remove all of the colour - there is no need 4. mask everything else that isnt getting painted. make sure you mask up the pads, pistons, lines etc. use masking tape and newspaper to help you do this - should take 10 minutes tops 4a dont spray the calipers facing down - it wont work and will suck ideally have the calipers up around wheel height so you can face the can at them on a even level facing the spray can down will affect the paint and how it applies - tie them to a close line or something with some string or something strong 5. spray the calipers but take your time - this should take about 6 hours all up do a quick pass off the caliper holding the can at LEAST 20cms-30cms away from the caliper - practice on some cardboard first (or something white) do one quick pass in 1 single direct (dont stop, dont change direction, dont pause) iyou should pass across the caliper in about 2 seconds - steady even pace dont wobble etc do a quick pass the first time, youll hardly see the colour. go back the other way, again a single pass, dont pause or stop or worry about bits missed etc 5a wait 1 hour. repeat again a quick pass, one way, then back again the other way after a full pass - nice and short, 2 seconds tops. the colour will get darker each time wait another 2 hours. repeat. you should about 3-4 repeats of this process. each time do a single pass, nice and quick. even. dont pause/stop etc a car has about 6 coat of paint on it so try and arrange for the same ish 6. wait 24 hours at least for them to dry properly - if they are in your garage etc make sure they are covered away from dust / shit in the wind etc if you want to do the NISSAN in a different colour do the same but at step 2 apply some vasoline to the NISSAN text gently (dont go over the edges etc) so that when its fully dried 24 hours later you can wipe off the vasoline and the colour will come off too - it would be a good idea to sand this back so its clear steel colour before paiting then you can mask the rest of the caliper after 24 hours and spray the NISSAN in another colour - again use newspaper and masking tape
  18. hi forged, this is covered in the powerfc faq (its in my signature) it tells you what the japanese characters mean and what each of them mean from memory 4 & 5 are idle a/c on, elec load on, and 5 is idle, a/c off, no elec load
  19. get a hiflowed r33 turbo stay away from KKR / ebay turbo's
  20. wire open the wastegate so it doesnt go into positive pressure or very little boost
  21. i would expect every person who did that to see an improvement its almost guaranteed the car will stall with an atmo bov
  22. arent you in wangaratta anyhoo?
  23. you can have a fuel pump thats too big what happens is when you are sitting in traffic the pump keeps pushing fuel up to the rail and then back down to the tank and keeps going around, it just heats the fuel up a bit i dont think it would cause the problems your describing
  24. "One time my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his *ss. True story. He bought it at the local mall, so the whole fiasco wound up on the news. It was embarrassing for my relatives and all. But the next week, he did it again. Different cat, same results, complete with a trip to the emergency room. Then, last week, I saw him in the pet store. He was buying another cat. I said, 'Walt, what the hell are you doing, you know you're just gonna get this cat stuck up your *ss too, why don't you knock it off?' And he says to me, 'Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?' My cousin was a weird guy.
