i dont understand ? if you are getting the v500 and it can control boost why not get it tuned at 1.2 bar and run that setting all the time then you dont need to buy another controller and have two settings etc. if 1.2 isnt safe then dont run it at all if it was i would tune for the highest safest setting

Microtech Lt12s Hand Controller Question
paulr33 replied to SL1D1N's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
if you can run 18psi why not run 18psi all the time? -
i dont see why you would set it up for "low" boost and then run "high" when you wanted if you can't afford to safely run 12psi then why do it at all ? you should just run the highest safest setting all the time but yeah ceramic wheelies on a new 3 litre sounds like a death sentance if you insist on doing this and have no other choice run a low safe boost setting (always) and check the exhaust temps with a EGT, get them down nice and low, make sure the tuner knows to keep the EGT's really low at all costs

curious why you are even bothering importing one? there are over 1000 skylines for sale on carpoint etc - youd be mad to bother importing one there would be literally hundreds of GTST's in melbourne for sale so you can full inspect, drive, test etc
-
diff gears could also help

B1 About the PC: The case has some cut molex cords as the connector came loose so ive taped them up / solder etc so it looks a little dodgy but its OK The case is fairly dense and full of drives and fans. The system is pretty loud and will rival most poweredge servers in sound levels. The system is rock solid, never misses a beat has been up for a good 3 years + without any issues - i added 512mb of ram and the new SATA disks but thats it since purchase in 2004 The original system was built by eyo.com.au in sydney and cost me 4k delivered as is, without SATA raid and 512mb of ram. I have original receipt and manuals etc Comes with a box of manuals, stickers, driver cds and other junk. I will erase all of the hard disks with a disk wipe in Linux to ensure you don't try to get my data. This system is great for things like Vmware, Photoshop, tmpegenc, Vue D'Espirit, Sound Forge as these are true SMP programs which mutli-thread and use both CPUs. I will sell as is, full bundle you get everything if you don't want something throw it out, I'm not seperating anything. Purchase Info: - $295 on ebay -http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190195905523 I have a new PC on the way so you can have this system in approx 1.5 weeks Bank Xfer or pickup with cash only. My Mate Done Something Really Bad With His Rb26...
paulr33 replied to nsta's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
get a stud remover guy to come out and remove the stud thats left in the block if the pump isnt attached correctly it will be at a big risk and probably leak under pressure if its leaks unnoticable you can risk the engine as the temps will rise - not worth the risk sorry -
hey berin - congrats and well done, nothing is worse than selling your pride and joy all the best in the future - id say buy a house - you can play cars later when you get settled into the house

if its blank unplugged or loose cable if its locked on the apexi logo wrong hand controller version if its locked on a blank screen (but lit up) then loose connector, damaged connector or damaged hand controller -
if you find its going into boost cut no matter what, ie: its spiking way over target boost then check the vac lines etc if they are backwards it might not control boost at all and just never open, hence unlimited boost, hence it spiking way past target regardless of duty or the wiring is wrong., its simply ground and positive power, if they are wrong the solenoid wont work
