33 Gtst - Fitting Pfc, Not Running On 6 Cylinders?

anything in ETC, SENSOR SW CHECK thats highlighted in black? whats in ETC, VERSION ? -
hey off topic but if you are out in melb on sat night give us a yell im in

risk vs cost i guess is important here if you can save $300 but you find the AFR's drop off the face of the plannet at 5000rpm on full load, lean out city + rebuild time then is it really worth the cost saving? why go all out on a psycho build only to skimp on something as important as fuel delivery no fuel is fine, less fuel than expected is not however, thats when it leans out off the planet and rebuild light comes on

Faq: Apexi Powerfc - Frequently Asked Questions

i have replied to your pm - let us know when you find an answer ill add it to the FAQ -
The Super Suction kit from APEXi reduces the suction resistance from the air filter to the turbocharger. This suction reduction also maximize turbine efficiency 100% and from the filter intake is maximized with optimum piping diameter & smooth & tapered curves. This design increases the air intake breathing capabilities dramatically. In addition, the aluminium molded piping will not deformed at high boost levels (where a huge air vacuum occured inside the air intake piping) as compared to the stock rubber intake piping. In addition to stock air flow meter set, corresponding larger air flow meter sets of varying diameters (90mm, 80mm) are available in conjunction with varying aluminium intake piping in tuning for optimum engine performance. 538-N051 TWO MONTH BACK ORDER To Suit BNR32 89/8 to 95/1 AU $ 479.64 AU $ 536.75

hi jake the easiest true bolt on form is the apexi 80mm super suction kit its about $500 AUD ish from www.nengun.com and will be around 1 month delivery ETA ish the kit will include a pair of turbo to AFM ducts to suit the 80mm AFM and bolt pattern it should also come with clamps and fasteners and a pair of 80mm apexi pod filters check the list of items in the pack on the nengun site but it should be a true bolt on kit

how do you re-enable it ?

ok if thats the case then in SENSOR SW CHECK should have TPS and THRO do you have both >?

hi all, As some of you may or may not know the SAU VIC AGM is coming up in mid March and the new Committee is elected. This is important for all members as you have a chance to make a decision for the clubs direction and future. If you haven't already read the nominations and current positions available you should familiarize yourself for these. Voting is only eligible to current financial members of SAU VIC and voting will be done for all nominated positions on the night of the meeting. For current nominations, information and listings of the official roles please check out http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/20...it-t203698.html Note: this is only available to SAU VIC members (paid membership) Vote #1 - R31Nismoid (Ash) for President I stand by Ash running for president for 2008/09 calendar year and believe he will do a great job. I believe he has the clubs background, the clubs foundations, its member base and extensive knowledge of what's worked in the past and what hasn't. For this I believe he is the most suitable candidate and he has my vote as President. I would love to stand by and support as Vice but I am unable to commit my time due to the other personal commitments. This isn't to say the other candidates are not suitable - you should make that decision yourself on who is suitable - this is just my "campaign". This is not propoganda - just expressing my support

loose plug or wiring ?

THRO = TPS = Throttle Position Sensor
-
if THRO is at the ceiling value 5.11v im not surprised its staling the FC is being told the throttle position sensor is out of scale or disconnected ive seen my GTST THRO drop to 0.0v and peg there - the FC locks the revs really high on idle around 1600rpm and keeps it there i would suggest looking into why THRO isnt working - the car wont work without it
-
there is a big delay on apexi parts, specially map sensors and solenoids i ordered a solenoid back in late december im still waiting for a shipping ETA date from apexi

well there u go - roller bearing
-
if you unplug the map sensor signal (green wire) it will default to the lowest value which will be -760mmhg

oil cooled water cooled ball bearing should be serviced every 100,000 other turbocharger options and configurations - anti surge cover - journal bearing - thrust bearing - plain bearing - oil cooled only - twin scroll turbocharger housing - variable nozzle technogly (VNT)

hi bernie if you are using the boost control kit with the powerFC or in fact just a map sensor connected to the powerfc then the "boost" map/correction points are enabled. that is - if BOST is reading manifold pressure and is connected correctly - the correction ramps are activated automatically. you can do this in two ways - one is by using the full powerfc boost kit - the other is buying the denso map sensor and connecting it up to the boost kit port (i have done this). so on my car - i have the denso map sensor (same map sensor as the avcr or boost kit) and the wiring harness, but no solenoid. boost control on my pfc is disabled, but BOST has a reading as it can see the signal on the 3 pin boost kit port (white plug). the following corrections are used when boost is readable by the FC - inj vs airtemp and boost (max) - inj vs water temp and boost (max) - boost vs IGN S.F

pick a turbocharger that has a compressor map that dictates your power requirements then theres no need for guess work or picking random PSI figures from thin air select the power you want --> select the turbocharger that suits your power ---> based on its compressor map, pick the PSI the map dictates for given XYZ airflow cfm -
yes so in summary your options now that you have put penis fuel in the tank 1) drain the tank and put high octane in it 2) baby it around and then put high octane in once empty 3) use octane booster and baby it around a little - i would still avoid full loading it up it will never detonate on light cruise / crusing at 100kmh in 5th or 6th if its going to detonate with penis fuel, it will be when its ramping on boost or on full load this is because the engine is under load, and has much more aggressive timing
-
with the std ecu it has maps based on 98 RON fuel now that the user has put in penis fuel (95 ron) the timing will be too advanced so it will combust without spark - detonate / knock this in turn will tell the ECU its knocking (assuming stock ecu) and the ECU will drop the low octane map its still bad for the engine and i wouldnt load it up on purpose with penis fuel in it the stock ECU has no idea (or any ecu for that matter) what octane fuel is being used all it does is watch the knock sensors for detonation, once it seems certain levels of detonation it assumes penis fuel is in use and drops back to low octane maps, which basically have retarded timing on them this makes the car not detonate as the timing is very relaxed and makes the car doughy and flat
-
check the obvious- check where the map sensor is getting its signal from check its wiring and vac lines - look for loose connections and leaks etc if the unit is showing varying amounts of pressure at idle then it could be a leak it should be around -500 ish on idle -760 sounds wrong and out of range (ie; the map sensor is going to 0.0v or is loosing connection the AVCR, loose wires) unplug the map sensor at idle - see what the display drops to - as in the wiring signal not that actual vac line
-
just baby it around and dont load it up - if you load it up, it will detonate it wont cause any harm if you just baby it around
