  3. A fantastic day saw a great turnout to the annual SAU VIC Show N Shine and Xmas Party for 2007. Car attendance well over the 45+ mark saw a wide range of skylines (and non skylines) for a great day of cars and people. These days are aimed at our members showing off their cars on an autosalon outdoors style display with a free BBQ. Located in the lovely banks of the yarra river just near alexander parade gives the club plently of exposure and onlookers. Members enjoyed a free lunch provided by the club and were able to display their cars for voting awards and great prizes. Those who attended were also offered discount vouchers at one of SAU VIC's selected premier workshops, so if you missed out then you missed some great deals!!! Entry for members was free and there were no costs involved, so next year be sure you are there to be in it!!! Prizes and Awards: Trophies and a $240 Centreline Suspension voucher (valid for parts and labour) will be awarded for "Best in Show" in the following main categories: • Godzilla class (32, 33, 34 GT-R) - Best overall GTR • Godzuki class (31, 32, 33, 34 GTS/GTT) - Best overall GTS/GTT • WRC class (WRX, Evo) • Dorifto class (Silvia platform) • Intruder class (other) & there will also be trophies, a 12 month suscription to Unique Cars (value $80) and an SAU polo shirt awarded to the winner each of the below: • Godzilla class (32, 33, 34 GT-R) - one each for 32GTR, 33GTR, 34 GTR • Godzuki class (31, 32, 33, 34 GTS/GTT) - one each for 31, 32, 33, 34 GTS/GTT There was a great variety of cars on display throughout the day. This ranged from a standard GTST skyline to full track spec GTR's with all the nice goodies. Members also got to check out the latest in the Evolution Lancer spec, a 1cm off the ground HR32 GTST, a hot GTR R34 with a psycho chamelion paint job and a fully restored BNR32 Aus spec GTR. Special thanks to our sponsors Centreline for sponsoring this event and donating the fantastic prizes! Photos & Results will be posted here when they are finalised and sorted. Please post any comments & feedback here also as we are keen to hear what you the members thought of this event. :D
  4. reminder to get your votes in people even if you just vote for one or two things it still counts you can even nominate yourself for something if you like prizes will be awarded at our next meeting tuesday 18th december
  5. 300kw+ at the rear wheels is pointless if - you cant drive - you have stock suspension - you cant afford insurance - you want to keep your licence etc etc what sort of cars have you driven? honestly a 200rwkw gtst on the street is fine you can take down most cars and take anything off the line if you can drive and be responsible a GT35r on the street is gonna net you seeing 100km++ before it even winds up and goes hard so youll just amplify any fines, accidents etc you have a stocker v8 will take you off the line no worries with all the lag you have then when it comes on boost - youll have wheelspin city guess it depends - but do what you like dude, no matter what anyone tells you, you will buy what you want
  6. r34 newer cheaper to run more economical better style & features & comfort then when your off your p's sell it and buy a GTST if you still like skylines 1990 compared to 1998 is a massive difference forget potential, weight etc they mean nothing to a first car owner
  7. rotors gone rest is going in the bin
  8. no the PFC you have will work on either R32 or R33 but the hand controller you have is the wrong version of the PFC you have you need FCC NT or N001
  9. yeah so you have the older style GTR PFC and the newer style hand controller which is why its freezing at the apexi logo you need FCC NT hand controller or N001 from nengun's site 32 / 33 GTR PFC is the same, but you need a matching hand controller if you have PFC RB26 then you need FCC NT or N001 If you have PFC GTR33L then you need FCC 3
  10. is the PFC combo new or 2nd hand? if its freezing on the apexi logo the hand controller is the wrong version or its damaged etc the car probably isnt starting as it needs to be DATA INIT'd and reset to factory defaults like it might have diff injectrs / afms etc
  11. hey ryan what is the exhaust setup on your car your turbocharger is very audible, even at idle - sounds good
  12. $20 tube will fix it - if you brought the tyres reecently ish (6 - 12 months) they may have insurance on them and can be covered against puncutres
  13. coilpacks gone tv gone seats - maybe gone rotors - still have em
  14. yeah i am busy - its my brothers bday - but pickups later on are OK
  15. happy bday - have a good one
  16. ok; driver seat bolster is worn and ripped a bit - rest of seats are OK - upgraded to GTR seats coils are ok and work fine - just misfire on 12psi - fine for stock rb25det etc rotors are ok - need machine but no big bad marks etc lcd tv and controller module are gone im home tomrorow night - pick up after about 8pm is OK im out thursday night friday night is ok at the moment sat night is ok (after show n shine) as i have to be home sunday day / night is ok
  17. the driver seat bolster is ripped and worn (typical series 2 seat bug) but they are ok other than that friday morning is no good im at work
  18. cams, cam gears, diff gears, exhaust manifold, head work, tuning & exhaust work can all yield more power & response how much do you have to spend is the questions
  19. its an 18 speed dog box just like the in the mack trucks
  20. the following is free to anyone and is being thrown out at the end of the week 1 x std r33 gtst coils (misfire at 12psi on max load) 2 x front 33 gtst series 2 seats with rails 2 x rear 33 gtst rotors (need machining) 1 x carrozerria lcd tv & controller module (missing loom) it will be thrown out on the weekend pickup in tullamarine im not delivering anything (dont even ask)
  21. No the ER34 PowerFC assumes you have Rb25DET Neo and associated Neo ancillaries No I wouldn't expect so as it will expect Neo 25t, with Neo injectors, coils etc You would need to look at either using an RB20 Ap Engineeering PowerFC or do an engine swap Using an Rb20 AP eng is probably just as hard as the rb20de you have probably still has the R34 traction control etc fitted so its not just a normal rb20de but a half cast between the RB20 and Neo engine setups
  22. I took one photo...
  23. all rb25det models support VCT
  24. wrap up thread & results are here; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/De...ad-t195960.html
