    the sympton you have described is due to the bov not opening enough or incorrectly as a result it surges back onto the compressor wheel and you get the air chop chop / flutter noise. you could try adjusting the spring on the bov?

    i have no idea how the safc figures out its knocking levels but the powerfc does exhibit any of this behaviour you dont need to calibrate the pfc knock sensor and it just works out the box. you get knock display which increases as detonation occurs, via the factory knock sensors the higher the voltage from the sensor, the higher the value of knock

    hi ike, have a read of the powerfc faq, it covers using the boost control system

    im pretty sure the R32/R33 compressor fronts are 0.42a/r and the 34 compressor fronts are 0.53a/r

    i would expect little gain from a big outlay, a kew kw maybe if that and ever so slightly better response a pair of cams would probably give better gain / response
