  1. I had the same as this on my ARX. Gave up trying to find a replacement that fitted, and when back to the XTrail/Maxima sized one... In addition, the actual ioniser screen was discussting, covered in cigarette smoke like rubbish... Actually found it all in the garage over the weekend and tossed it..
  2. I wanted this origionally... But in the end it was limiting me too much in car selection... Just bought the best car I could afford, and fitted cruise once it was landed in AUS. Yes I don't get the radar/laser range sensor in the front bumper and the lights on the dash telling me it is working, but it holds the car at constant speed, and works at any speed I want it to.. P.S. the cruise and audio controls are available on eBay from the US quite easily, asssuming that the G37 ones are compatable...But you will need a new steering wheel insert, as stocked by Chris, to install them.
  3. Unless you have a Momo or other steering wheel like mine... I then used the stalk, which was an easier install, and also gave two preset speeds as an option. It looked like this... http://www.rutlandcommunications.co.uk/default.asp?ContentID=93 Better than the VDO buttons I have now on my V36.. http://tgcinternational.com.au/images/P/p-03.jpg
  4. Hey!!! Nothing wrong with silver.... Especially for us lazy people who don't wash our cars often enough...
  5. Just got an email from Frank, he has his new PIN generator installed (needed to get an XP PC), and has generated what he thinks is the correct code for my car... Hopefully I will have time to see him next week to try to get the key programmed...
  6. Not for KV36... I just need to get the correct PIN generator for MY09 and newer.. It is the one that generates 2 PINs, old and new...
  7. All the coppers think it is a volvo anyway, especially the AR-X from a distance...
  8. Wow!!! That is amazing... My collegue who has previously a 350Z manual and now runs an 370Z manual struggles to beat 12 on a run, let alone in town... He was really upset when he heard what I was getting in the KV36.. His wifes Murano CVT always records better consumption than the Z.
  9. I actually went for a car with higher milage at auction (130k), the savings were amazing, and also less risk of the milage having been wound back in Japan.. I went in to looking for cars with a 350GT '07 budget, and left having paid AUD 500 more for a 370GT '09. Very happy with that decision... Back to back driving comparisons of 3.5 to 3.7, the 3.7 does feel more torquey due to the variable lift doing its thing..
  10. 370GT was updated as the sedan from launch with 09 MY. Self healing paint, revised alloy trim, seems like real metal in mine, centre rear headrest, 6 airbags etc.. Major update from 10 MY with complete revamp of interior systems (higher resolution screen) and switchgear (heated seats are rotary not switches), as well as exterior with new grill, bumpers and headlights. Nav also became standard, so no non-nav for Chris to install Garmin into. This is bascially what was the G37 as sold in RHD in UK as 4 dr and 2dr here and many other places.. Very happy with the fuel consumption getting less than 10 l/100km in any kind of freeway trip now, vs 12.5 in the M35 Stagea...
  11. You are a legend!!! And I don't mean a dodgy old mans Honda...
  12. I fitted cruise control to my V36.. Actual installation of the cruise was straightforward, but use of unused pins on the clock spring to wire up the controls was harder than expected...
  13. Sorry my bad... Thought "just" bought as in recently bought, rather than just went and bought... Keep up the good work!!
  14. Another one? So does this one have more functions Scott?
  15. Funny timing that... Yesterday I spent $20 getting my new mechanical key cut at a Mr. Mint... Fitted perfectly into the car and the remote... Good old eBay..
  16. Just got an email follow up to some of the enquiries I have been making.. One of them has bought the software he thinks he needs to get his consult 3 to program keys... Will let you know how I get on...
  17. Also same as XTrail, if that makes the parts cheaper... :-)
  18. I assume that this would be the same as my M35. I bought it from NSW unregistered, so no number plates, but with a NSW unregistered vehicle permit, which gave me 3 days to get to Vic, and insurance based on the AUS vin. Dealer had to get a roadworthy and a 5 day CTP cover slip instead of NSW Rego. Drove to Vic and Vic roads treated it as a normal unregistered vehicle. Had to get Vic roadworthy, vin stamped into the car and car sighted by Vic roads. Payed stamp duty and rego, then got plates and drove home. Just make sure all the paperwork is correct, such as engine and vin numbers having all the correct numbers on paperwork, and make sure that tyres have been changed and match the size on the compliance placard... The old Japanese one is now invalid .

    M35 Wipers

Yes the fact that he is literally 10 minutes round the corner from Nissan Head Office, must be kept a secret...
  20. 3: No way to connect iPod to car and get track names etc. to appear... Even for Japanese market, Nissan soution is a bluetooth dongle with apple 30 pin connection. Burn music from iTunes onto CDs and load them to the Music box and see the info that way. This is what I did. However, you can connect an iPod touch, though bluetooth, and control that from the steering wheel, same way as streaming music from smartphone.
  21. As far as I was aware, all the 3.5 got the power duct... Scotty, effectively made one on my old M35 by removing the cover and using some 1" square foam to guide air into the duct... seemed to work okay for the 4 years it was there... If you do this, don't forget to remove the 4" or so of seal on the bonnet that blocks off air to this area...
  22. Okay, that seems rational, but also never heard the T56 describled as light... So you have heads arranged to go with the short motor? V8 Skyline or Stagea, let alone the Stagline, seems like a great way to get around the direct injection engine limitations.. Hope this all works out. It will be brilliant!!
  23. I thought I had heard somewhere that the T56 in the Commodes was in high demand due to ham fisted owners screwing up the the transmissions and that had destroyed the market in used cheap T56 tranmissions that everyone had expected... Going for the auto would probably save you a good amount of money, as well as being simpler to source...
