  1. My rear one is fine, but my mirror one, same as you...
  2. or your compliance guy never fitted them.... Given that you are in NZ and compliance is not required, I would suggest that they have never been installed.
  3. My fast CF card would not work, ended up buying some no name Chinese one on eBay which worked perfectly.
  4. They do have the wierd offset mount thing... But it is a standard mount, so I just popped down to Super Cheap and got a set of their more expensive blades with the correct, but not offset, mounts, popped them in and away I went.. That was a year ago now...
  5. M35 windscreen is the same as the V35 and these are easily available in AUS though O'Briens who Shannons use to do their work... What they do not have is the proper Nissan mouldings. When O'Briens changed mine, they did not want to use the generic mouldings as they looked rubbish, and were able to get the proper ones ordered from Japan thru Nissan Ferntree Gully, from my Japanese VIN number. 5 weeks later, all done..
  6. I'll keep my eye out for it...
  7. or you could see if there are any Type-P owners who want to swap suspension with you for your SP set-up...
  8. My 370GT is using a normal Garmin OBD2 dongle to talk to my sat nav for trip computer and error code reading etc... I was lead to belive that these later vehicles are basically Infiniti's and so conform to the international standards, and so do not need Nissan specific codes and software. Obviously Consult clones are the go for any serious work, but just wanted to make you aware that this Garmin bluetooth global dongle works fine on my skyline.
  9. I also thought that the 370Z suspension was the same type, but not settings, as the V36 not the V35 which is more aligned with the 350Z and M35 Stagea...
  10. It is an amazing transmission, and years ahead of its time... However there were some massive limitations with it, and in the end Nissan/JATCO could not justify the development and went the more conventional route and now make quite a good living, thank you very much, selling their CVTs to pretty much every single volume car maker... I belive that there was a prototype Williams F1 car, from the Damon Hill era, that was fitted with a CVT transmission and some mental motor with an insanely narrow power band which would have been unbeatable had F1 not insisted that cars had to have stepped gears...
  11. Hang on.... This is a CVT. It should not have gears when it is in auto mode. It is a Continuously Variable Transmission... Should be a stepless surge with the engine staying at a single speed, usually peak torque, and the transmission doing the acceleration. Then once at cruise, the speed remaining constant but the revs dropping off as it slides into higher gearing. Could your car already have had the CVT replaced?
  12. Could be something as innocent as the previous owner prefered the look of the Type P bar against the S/SP one, or just trying to be different.. Might even have just swapped from another black car as they are quite common in Japan.not like the red and blue ones... But unlikely to have been factory.
  13. I does have the big brakes, with the twin pot sliding calipers, but not the huge brakes with the 4 pot calipers. There was the standard "small" brakes with the single pot set up as fitted to the P.
  14. In addition I was looking at SP's with factory cruise and they had the normal front bumper with the laser range finder mounted next to where the foglight should be. One of them was a 50th Anniversary version like yours with the red leather and factory cruise. Having spent months looking for factory cruise gave up, bought the best car that I could afford, and just fitted the cruise once it was in AUS.. Also means that it works above 110km/h indicated, which on my car is about 102 according to Tom/Garmin...

  16. Follow me home lights, I think... Leaves the headlights on for 30 seconds or so, after you lock the car, to make it to the front door...
  17. keep reading... down the next line, under the VQ37 bit... What is the trans code... RE7 is the 7 speed, RE5 is the 5 speed...
  18. Hi All, 2009 MY 370GT SP sedan is 7 speed. From the information I have from Japan, all 3.7 sedans are 7 speed. If you definitly have 5 speed, then either the transmission has been changed, perhaps with the 5 speed from coupe, or perhaps it is a 3.5... And yes G37 sedan is a 2009 onwards Skyline 370GT sedan. Those darn Americans did get a 6 speed manual sedan that was not sold in Japan. 2010 MY on is the big facelift with foglamps in the lower bumper, updated interior with round buttons for heat seaters, USB in the glovebox fir iPod and the hi-res screen...
  19. Ah sorry, my bad, I thought V36... I guess the V35 has more robust handling of the diffrence in the wheel speed front to rear... I have seen this issue before with the V36s and it was the difference in tyre size that screwed the VDC system up..
  20. Hi Neil, Welcome to the forum.. i also have a Nissan remote starter and it is, unfortuately, as it says, a remote starter. On mine it is also for the alarm, but it will not allow me to start the car as normal. Lives in the draw with the rest of the import car owner stuff that never gets used...
  21. I think I know what the issue is... You do not have the stock 18" tyre sizes fitted... Standard 18" tyres are 225/50/18, not 225/45/18 on the front. With both ends being 45 profile on your car, there is a 3% difference between the front and rear wheels rotational speed and I belive that this is enough to trip the traction and stability control systems. The fix would be to fit the correct 225/50/18 tyres on the front, or do what I did, and fit the same 245/45/18 tyres on the front rims. They do fit fine.
