  2. yeah but if they've heard of a 350z then they know what to look for - the driveline is very similar and the weaknesses of hte cars are the same
  3. bobby, got to agree - the amber looks much better on black i think its the strong contrast between the colours.. its funny but on brilliant silver, the silver and amber looks horrible, and clear looks 100x beter but i have to agree its the opposite for black

  5. gravity is related to mass, not the substance itself.. must be something to do with earthing, how else could it be explained?

  7. nooooooooooooo! not a V35!! actually, if you really want a LPG setup, my brother has an old R31 skyline that is ready to be taken to the wreckers but it has a LPG system in it (runs dual fuel).. he's in Mascot, Sydney. you want it for cheap? you could take its LPG system and do what you like with the rest of the car!   8. i just looked in my car - looks like the battery was changed at compliance (it has a sticker on there with an address in slacks creek, QLD) and it has a CCA of 280!! car runs fine though..
  9. yeah the bonnet is an issue for me.. the centrifugal kits seem to all lose the stock airbox, but no doubt an aftermarket airbox can be made to cover the supplied air filter and make it look more stock.. really, if it can be engineered to be legal, i don;t really care how the engine bay looks! has anyone any experience with engineering products to be legal?

DRIFTT summed it up well.. any unforseen event can happen, that's why they call it unforseen! hell the ship could sink or your container could fall off the ship there are so many places things could go wrong. 9/10 people don't have a problem but that's the risk you take
  11. i'vbe done a bit of a look into this HKS kit.. appears quite nice to me compred to the stillen kit, not too sure how the boost delivery would compare to a turbo setup.. anyone read much comparing centrifugal s/c setups to a turbo? also, the current HKS supercharger kit appears to be the GT kit while their old kit is the rotrex kit. not too sufe if these are different but i have seen them referred to differently.. i wonder if they chagned the design recently? either way it appears to be well constructed and fits under the stock bonnet without much fuss.. my current thinking is whether the kit requires extensive tuning as i know there are very few HKS certified tuners across australia. many of these "complete" systems come pre-tuned so that might help its cause. i might look into this a bit more!
  12. it will be interesting to see the differences in spec just looking at the differences between the V35 and G35 there are quite a few.. G35 has cruise control, V35 doesn't G35 has full leather heated seats, V35 has leather/suede and no heated (only on 75th anniversay edition) G35 has homelink and autodimming mirror, V35 doesn't V35 has fold-in mirrors, G35 doesn't V35 has rear camera option, G35 doesn't V35 has different entertainment system options (analogue TV rather than sat radio) i'm tipping the GTR to be similarly altered between countries to fit what they see as being important in their market. i would expect the euro cars to get the most gadgets if there are any discrepancies..
  13. you can get larger oil pans and oil pan spacers for our cars. not expensive i think and adds about 1L of oil capacity

  16. haha yeah i have a fwe secrets, no point airing on the forum all that is going through my head i ordered a set of sways through matt (gary's son) and they are non-adjustible but much stiffer than OEM. there was a more expensive set that was adjustible but i won't see track time so i don't care. i oredered them about 3 weeks ago, can't wait to get them on soon! i've also recently fitted a HUGE tranny cooler to my car which added over 1L of trans fluid to the capacity as well as cooling it significantly. i used OEM nissan matic J fluid - actually i have just under 4L of this left is anyone wants to buy the rest of the container for a cheap price!
  17. nice gary, a built VQ35 with a TT kit would be ideal on a track, and with a few handling mods.. hmmmmmmmmm.. i have ordered some sways off your son just waiting for them to arrive hopefully they make a nice difference to handling on the V35, i'm sure they will what other plans do you have for the V35 you will get?
  18. yeah but if it bolts up the the exhaust manifold perfectly then you could get an adaptor to put whatever flange you want on the turbo side, T3, T28, etc.

  20. best to take the fuel flap also, not just the paint code when i went to the pain shop and they looked up KY0 there was 11 recipies for that version! that's based on how it was made across the world..

  22. gary, thanks for your thoughts. you make some interesting points re tuning, especially idle tuning with a supercharger my knowledge of the stillen kit is that the blower is bypassed at vaccum intake pressure or somthing along those lines. not sure how this affects things. i agree that the supercharger isn't the easiest way to make the most power. but i think its a cheaper way to make more power, and probably enough power for my liking. i especially like the idea of an easy install with no tuning required to still make +30rwkw or even more my auto currently has a BIG trans cooler, and i'm not going to touch it any further all i will add to the car if i get some kind of FI is LSD and maybe an oil cooler i'll keep doing some research and keeping an eye out for second hand kits. if i find a second hand centrifugal kit i would also consider that... gary, any thoughts on the under-bonnet temps of a TT kit? and also, how running 2 turbos would alter emissions especially cold start emissions and the lack of heating up ofthe cat when running turbocharged setups?
  23. bobby.. what about a VQ25DET manifold (M35 stagea).. would that fit up to the VQ35 motor?
