yeah but if your stock AFM is not maxed out, then switching to a z32 AFM won't give you more power... its a big misconception out there that simply swithcing to a z32 AFM will give you a 20rwkw power increase or something like that. FALSE!
-
why do you want to change AFMs? there's no power gain to be had from a z32 AFM... this i simply don't understand
-
nice.. i had no idea they could do that at a locksmith!
-
ha ha i've already had one person PM me offering to buy it.. i only paid $250 for it! can you believe it! it was already the same colour as my car too... i had it fitted when i got my new FMIC fitted so it was included into that price, but i would say about $100 or so to get fitted.. (not including paint) the stock GTSt reo had to have a chunk removed to fit the N1 holes EDIT: and its NOT for sale

wait until you get the other mods on and running before the ecu tuning... oh, and btw, i love your idea of "almost stock".. ha ha.. you've got to be kidding right?
-
ok mate don't pay $150 for a diagnostics plug-in. you can run diagnostics o your ECU for nothing. do a search for more information.. now as for the dyno.. you don't want the ECU to be "tuned".. you want to o to a dyno and get them to putthe car on it, check the timing, and listen for pinging. this usually costs about $100-120/hr and within the hour they could probably tell you what's wrong if they know their stuff.. so basically o to a different workshop and say "i want an hour on the dyno to check my timing and see why my car has a miss" and go from there... good luck, Warren

ideas: - spark plugs - coils again help: - get it to a dyno, regardless of the cost

Items for sale due to upgrading... All parts located northside of Brisbane. will post small items but not larger ones R32 GTSt front bumper with aftermarket lower lip - dark blue - some scratches - cut to fit FMIC - aftermarket lower lip made of fibreglass.. has some chips but will look great with a coat of paint! price: SOLD rb20 stock turbo - excellent condition, no shaft play - comes with rb25 actuator price: $100 heat shield from rb20 price: $30 coil pack cover from and rb20 - painted in high-temp bright red - looks great.. perfect to bling up your motor price: $25 2.5" cat - gutted price: SOLD intercooler water spray system - my old setup for an intercooler water spray - includes: small tank, pump, wiring, in-cabin switch, hoses, and nozzles - all you need to get those intake temps down - for a great improvement try putting methylated spirits in the freezer overnight then use it to fill the tank.. no dyno results but seat of the pants was very noticeable this is great to improve the efficiency of the stock intercooler or to help with those last extra kW's with a FMIC price: SOLD! FMIC + piping to suit R32 maybe R33 also - intercooler: tube and fin for better flow to the radiator - size: 530 * 240 * 60 --> much bigger than standard, but not as big as some of hte large FMIC kits out there - piping: mild steel, painted black - comes with joining hoses and clamps.. some extra clamps may be required to fit it (about $2 each!) this is a good cheap upgrade if you aren't searching for big power. the small intercooler size helps keep throttle response good - note: the usual FMIC mods including cutting hole under battery and clipping fan blades may be required - will fit with stock airbox! price: SOLD Contact: PM me or reply here Prices are negotiable cheers, Warren pics below:

the problem is that if his key is too worn to use, then there's going to be no point copying it as the copy will have the exact same pattern as the worn original you need to either - go to nissan and get them to make a new key based on the barrel - get a new barrel and key
-
well it was done on a stagea by a stagea owner.. so not really
-
99% of nissan imports have faulty oil pressure senders (OPS) this means that the oil pressure is in fact OK but the gauge is getting odd readings due to the OPS being up shit creek bad news is that those who have put in a new OPS still find that it fails in 6 months or so.. unfortunately the only real fix that we know of atm is to get a different oil pressure gauge

what power are you making? good idea to go through the "drift and drag" section of SAU to get some tips before you go for the first time... best of luck

some install tips are here from when i installed them: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=124841 also, the guy who started this thread has PM'd me with many questions that i have answered, hoping he puts them on here... some points - backrest does not need to be removed. the covers slide over. you have to pull them over gently, moving each side a little bit at a time - headrests were easy to get off, but tough to get the covers over. again, pull around a little bit each time. - the issue of headrest install and lumbar knob... its not an issue! ...firstly once the back is all installed and perfect, find the plastic part that is the hole the headrests go into. simply grab a screwdriver and poke a hole through and slide the headrest on. rembmer nothing can be seen once its installed. you are asting your time to take the plastic bits off and try to install them over the covers.. remember they are seat COVERS not a re-trim .. secondly on the lumbar knob... all you have to do is again locate the knob under the cover then cut a small round hole over the knob. then, simply stretch the hole over the knob. if the hole is smaller than the knob then the material will fall in behind the knob and it will look perfect. everyone please don't PM me with questions that you have, jsut post them here and i will answer them if i can cheers, Warren

when you buy cam gears, they are simply for "rb" engines.. you can do more research if you like but i'm pretty sure they are identical
-
no i am not part of the group buy... i bought a set of covers off them before the group buy started.. just letting you know what they use to deliver them usually
-
hey john i'm probably heading there in a few weeks when my mate is ready to bring his car too.. not tonight though have you been before? what time did you run? what time are you aiming for?
-
got it from a guy on the forums... its a genuine (plastic) gtr front that has been fitted to a gtst unfortunately this is the only pic i have at the moment and it was taken on my phone!
-
you can get them without logos if you ask i think
-
they delivered mine by registered post someone delivers it to your door, but if no one is home they leave it at the nearest post office it has to be signed for as well...
-
and with the mods you have, i'd be very surprised if your AFM is maxing out
-
"upgrading" to a z32 AFM won't give you any more power at all it is a necessary upgrade if your current AFM is flowing too much air to read. otherwise its a big waste of money end of story
-
