  1. how much weight will that actually save?
  2. nice work stan! at only 10spi?? holy crap that's efficient..
  3. depends how you look at it... at the turbo you get exactly the pressure of the intake at the turbo after the intercooler, and you get it to measure exactly how much boost ets to the engine after the pressure loss of the intercooler... i think the latter is more beneficial myself personally
  4. call it what you wish.. its not there on rb25's is tells the wastegate what the boost is so that the wastegate knows if it should open or not
  5. that, my friend, is simply a nipple that lets air flow from the compressor to the wastegate they are on r32 turbo's but not on r33 turbo's that picture is a turbo from an r32... (it says 16v10... r33 turbo's say 45v1 or thereabouts) on the r33 they have a nipple in the intercooler piping somewhere that goes to the wastegate instead hope that helps, Warren
  6. no it only comes on as a "backup" when temps get really high - it does not engage with the a/c man what's going on... in that pic you sent there's clearly another plug that it goes into... did you not see it??
  7. takes literally 10 seconds to get a rag/plastic bag and put it over the coil packs, battery and alternator
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-New-Quality-...1QQcmdZViewItem you're welcome
  9. can't just get a longer piece of hose for the plumb-back part? eg heater hose or similar
  10. don't forget to use a water dispersant such as WD-40... saves you ending up with a miss as you shorted a circuit somewhere...
  11. keep it on topic guys this guy is talking about running boost 98ron with 15% ethanol not optimax extreme... that's been covered to death a million times already in other posts...
  12. i do as what howie said.. but i have som slight changes: - cover alternator, battery, alarm, coil packs, AFM - try uising plastic bags and/or old t-shirts or rags - spray with a little bit of water - use about 1-2cans of degreaser.. spray it all over everything and leave it do its job for about 10-15mins - hose it all clean - get some WD-40 and go nuts over all the electrical items you can see - electrical plugs, wires.. i sprayed WD-40 over the entire engine bay basically! - remove the covered items such as alternator etc. - start the car and let it idle for about 5 minutes with the hood open.. then take it for a brief drive enjoy! cheers, Warren
  13. % ethanol doesn't do shit for economy... all is does is herlp change the octane rating.. so if 2 comparible fuels are both 98 ron then whichever has ethanol added needed to be modified to make this ron rating, makign it the shitter fuel eg 0% ethanol (eg ultimate) = 98ron petrol with no additives 15% ethanol (eg boost) = 95ron petrol with ethanol added get my drift?? the only reason i use ethanol-added fuel is that the highest ron fuel on the market is optimax extreme, and this happens to have it added. otherwise if it were 98ron i would be using BP ultimate Warren
  14. roy, mine fit well.. i don't think i'm that much of a perfectionist with some things so what i call "fits well" and what you call "fits well" might be different.. there's a small gap between the bumper and the guard, but it bolts onto all the other parts of the front perfectly.. the reo had to be cut for the N1 holes but that's it i'll get some pics soon hopefully...
  15. Ryan, was yours the black 32 with gold rims that's been these the last week or so?
  16. still waiting for people to get back to me with pics and descriptions etc. am open to other ideas everyone! realisticalyl no one is goign to buy one so if you have one this might be the only chance to get rid of it!
  17. http://www.justjap.com/parts_nexhaust.htm full 3" exhaust mild steel $799 or stainless $950 that's turbo back including new cat! prices usually include next-day courier delivery can't get too much better than that... OR go into the trusty crew at mercury motorsport (newmarket road, newmarket) adn ask them for some help. they are agents for CES exhausts and know their stuff with evetrything imports... cheers, Warren
  18. got pics of what's wrong with what you've done?
  19. ok my bad 2.75" = 70mm thanks to all.. mods feel free to close this thread
  20. ok confirmed at my mechanic that its 2.75" as quoted above what is that in mm?
  21. white r32.. where are you located? do you have hoses also? eg for front and rear - with the one-way valves in them? and does it work? cheers, Warren
  22. well the head gasket is the biggest "seal" that is broken when the head is opened... think of the jam jar analogy but with the head gasket being the "pop" when the lid opens...
  23. to me, "opened" is getting access to the internals.. which is literalyl opening the inside by taking the head off... if cams = opened then cam gears must also = opened which are both wrong in my opinion...
  24. sure? 70mm looks a little small... can anyone else confirm this?
  25. most people don't go with a 2530.. most stick with the stock turbo or go with an rb25 turbo reason? trying to minimise the lack of low down torque
