try not to go to canberra... if you don't get car problems from it, you will definately die of boredom!
-
i second the "bring back speed magazine" campaign! but as far as feature cars go, they can only show what we, the import community, are producing people are only pouring money into top notch cars, not lower range cars..
-
399 + 70 postage is the same price as the justjap ones, as their price includes delivery... plus justjap is well known and delivers overnight
-
well if you can find an original NEW set for less than $102 then i'll run around with my pants off for the next week...
-
get your car to a mechanic and get them to put it on a dyno... you want someone who knows something to point you in the right direction... if it shows up on the dyno that you need a new fuel pump, then by all means that's your problem, but until then, don't go changing things if youi don't know what's going on.. cheers, Warren

you have PM...

Rb25/26 Swap
WazR32GTSt replied to Brucelee Lande's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
he has an R33... so not an issue but for those with R32's.. what about a VL-turbo box? it has a manual speedo cable and is similar to the rb25 box i believe... -
hey mate in about a week's time i'll be getting rid of my old front bar its a stock R32gtst bar in dark blue that has been cut to fit a FMIC... its also got a rare fibreglass lower lip on it and looks great for a stock bar! also, i'm in brisbane PM me if you're interested Warren

$102 delivered at www.accessoriesonline.com.au they are brand new and fit the R32 perfectly... i bought some recently!
-
as i said, i have not realyl had a chance to give the car a good drive yet, but on initial impressions... low rpm gear changes aren't to bad. sometimes first to second clunks but its not too jerky at all.. still instantaneous mid rpm gear changes are very clean and not jerky high rpm gear changes have not been done yet, but the mechanic test drove the car and said that it chirps from first to second MV details: Mike at MV AUTOMATICS 1 Stirling Rd Blackwood SA 5051 (08) 8370 0430

i bought the items from MV automatics and they sent to brisbane. i had them instaleld up here in brisbane and am sending my old items back for price, contact MV automatics. i'm not affiliated with them so don't want to quote prices on their behalf... apparently stage 1 shift kit is for towing, and is not really performance orientated the stage 2 kit is for performance shifts the stage 3 is a fully manualised valve body (using stock shifter to change gears) and is more for engine conversions apparently
-
money doesn't always equal performance... listen to everyone here mate.. just buy the justjap kit and you won't regret it
-
nice work there mate! i just installed a shift kit and 2800rpm torque converter ito my r20 auto (MV autoamtics kit)... can't wait to hit the drag strip! so with the smaller size of the new torque converter, did you find any increase in power as well? you said that you fitted FMIC and converter.. did that raise the power? cheers, Warren

Lpg Conversion For Nissan Sklyines R33
WazR32GTSt replied to jetpilot's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i had my last car, an 87 NA supra, using LPG... i swore to myself that i would never go LPG again.. the fitting of hte system had teething problems and didn't iron out for a few months then there's the fact that a full tank gives you no mileage.. i used to fill up 3 times a week... what a damn hassle and waste of time plus there's the loss of power. that's right power was noticeable reduced don't kid yourself. i have heard many ppl say that LPG produces the same power and that is rubbish stay away! -
i hate the "product review" style things like hte seat review they had in the latest issue what i like is the tech articles.. eg the atuoamtic gearbox overwiev was GOLD. i also like their other tech articles like when they have their project car (drift ca, hpi r34, rb24 project etc) I have to agree that it's changed a bit but not all for the worse, except the product review parts!

well its an R32 GTR spoiler.. a normal gtst one sells for nothing, maybe $20 if you're lucky your one might sell for near $80-100 depending on if there's a demand right now..

Converting Headlights --> H3c To H3
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
narva only sell H3 globes in "plus 30" and "blue ice"... i looked at the product guide in repco as i wanted "plus 50" for my car PS that's an excellent tech guide.. i was going to make one for SAU but maybe its not worth it! thanks for the link! -
where are people's morals? that's just wrong...

Rb20 Powah - Full Update ! New Graph
WazR32GTSt replied to raz0r$harP.UK's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hell yeah! go the rb20! i love the underdog... -
i have no idea what it is! but unlesss you have tapped a hose into this vaccum line there's no need for anything there.. leave it out and your car will be as a stock one..
-
it actually looks good in my opinion the lst issue of HPI talked about these saying they must be large diameter to stop the pronblem of surging idle.. this one has a nice large diameter mouth and so looks great... bit exxy though in my opinion for what it is.. its only a small piece of pipe after all...

OK so here's the story previous setup: - stock auto trans with trannie cooler - rb20det with rb25 turbo car would stall to 1800rpm at the strip and generate about -5psi manifold pressure.. when taking off its lag city then gear changes take about 1-2sec i ran a 14.7 @ 98mph with a 60' of 2.5sec new setup: - 2800rpm high-stall --> from MV automatics - stage 2 shift kit --> from MV automatics - rb20det with rb25 turbo now the car can stall to 3200rpm and should be able to generate about +5psi manifold pressure! i have not tested this yet as i have just got the car back and have not driven on my own.. the shift kit drives really nicely... Low rpm shifts are almost normal but high rpm shifts are very firm.. pretty much instantaneous! hoping to drop the 60' time to 2.0sec and instant shift changes with this setup and looking at running low 14s... will post a more thorough review below in the next few days... GO THE AUTO!!! cheers, Warren

Converting Headlights --> H3c To H3
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
ok i did it and not only did it work, but the globes ARE much brighter than before! i used the narva blue ice i think they were called.. they were $40 from repco and were 55w, not the 100w types that may or may not melt your wiring and housing... feel free to ask questions if one wishes -
i type and he appears.. like magic!
