WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
keep those results coming, guys.. i might go through some other threads to help compile results... to the moderators.. this has obviously become a popular idea - i have no idea why you won't give it a sticky! -

Batmbl Gb #2: Twin/split Dump & Front Pipes In One
WazR32GTSt replied to Driftn 180's topic in Group Buys
got mine fitted yesterday previously i had the 3" bellmouth and ran 14psi to make 155rwkw with the 3" split, i ran 13psi to make 170rwkw that's 15rwkw at 1psi less! dyno graphs to prove if anyone needs... oh, and the split pipe runs on the opposite side to the gearbox on the rb20.. mine almost touches some aircon lines but they are insulated so its all ok.. -

S3_girl... i'll need to see a dyno sheet before i add that that's a LOT of power out of an rb20 -
where is he located? who does he work for? i'm keen for that price.. but i don't like just ringing a random person unless they are expecting me to call or unless they work for a company.. i've sent you a PM stephen..

R32 Gtr Bar (lookalike)on A Gts-t
WazR32GTSt replied to dead32's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
you can buy fibreglass copies of the GTR bar that are designed to fit the GTSt from: www.justjap.com www.jetspeed.com.au www.carmate.com.au personally i would go with justjap for their sheer brilliant customer service OR you can buy an original GTR bar that's ABS plastic and it fits perfectly on teh GTSt.. that's what i just did! better quality but hard to find in good condition.. The Automatic Performance Thread
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i could... but i personalyl think that would make it kind of confusing... maybe after a while i could compile a list of the "best automatic mods" in the first post as most people are heading in the same direction with their modification route to achieve similar results and on the not of results.. i had a new justjap intercooler and BATMBL split dump installed yesterday.. old setup was 3" bellmouth dump and small FMIC and was 155rwkw @ 14psi.. new setup made 170.4rwkw @ 13psi!!!! and that's on the rb25 turbo! -
there;s another thread about LPG have a read... i had it setup on my old car - an 87 supra non-turbo and atill have it on out family car an R31 there were a lot of tething problems in getting it setup with the system "freezing" and a whole lot of other issues also as mentioned, the fuel economy is terrible - i used to fill up every second day and that's not an exaggeration... LPG = stupid idea. my opinion - do what you want.
-
for $100 you can get a brand new one which is great quality on ebay
-
thanks everyone but i have decided to use the stock gtst reo and cut it to fit the gtr bar... moderators you can close this thread if you please
-
stephen22 - thanks mate. who is patrick? who does he work for? i'm not after one from a wreckers as they will want an arm and a leg for one and really its nore worth much nv_n01 - its cool if its from a cefiro as long as it has all that i'm after! send me a PM when you know with a reasonable price...

The Automatic Performance Thread
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ash, i have a few isseus with that thread... 1) never updated 2) contains manual and auto figures 3) hard to find i really want to separate the automatics and have a thread devoted to the slushbox so that all information can be correlated without bias -
I'm after a windscreen washer reservoir bottle, the mini water pumps (attached to the bottle normally), and all hoses that are required for the windscreen washing system to work (theres also a small one-way valve somewhere in the hoses that i need) can be from any car - so anyone with a half-cut in brisbane please let me know and i'll take them off your hands! cheers, Warren

Recently, people have been going one of 2 routes with automatics. First is to convert to manual.. easy to do as there are plenty of party lying around the import yards. The other option is to beef up the auto slushbox and love it for what it is! That's what this thread is about... NO automatic haters NO more wondering the potential of the automatic So what i propose is that everyone with an automatic skyline post up your dyno figures and real 1/4 times (not g-tech figures!) and i'll collaborate the figures into the first post as much as i can... that way we can have an overview of how the auto stands on the track and what power is required to make different times.. Finally somewhere to compare auto figures, as most things you will see on SAU are for manual cars and don't 100% correlate with automatics... So here we go: rb20 - R31, R32, or cefiro.. stock = 100rwkw DYNO 185rwkw - RB120WHY 179rwkw - AnFz 170rwkw - WazR32GTSt 165rwkw - RSTME 139rwkw - Nizmo_freek 1/4 11.08 @ 113mph - RB120WHY (with slicks) 14.6 @ 98mph - WazR32GTSt 15.0 @ 108mph - AnFz rb25 - R33, R34, or Stagea..stock = 135rwkw DYNO 317rwkw - dangerman4 255rwkw - Abo_Bob 244rwkw - lukits01 229rwkw - wildr33gtst 229rwkw - DivHunter 225rwkw - satantic 220rwkw - 4door_sleeper 203rwkw - pkblade 203rwkw - SECUR1TY 193rwkw - judd33 187rwkw - Haines 185rwkw - MacGuyver 181rwkw - Fly_with_sky 176rwkw - 666DAN 166rwkw - so_tred 160awkw - Tangles 160awkw - AlexCim 146rwkw - Basti 142rwkw - Howie 1/4 12.3 @ 113mph - Fastrotor 12.7 @ 106mph - Abo_Bob 13.0 @ 105mph- 4door_sleeper 13.0 @ ??mph - lukits01 13.5 @ 164km/h - judd33 13.7 @ 101mph - Haines 13.8 @ 101mph - SECUR1TY 14.2 - Alexcim Hopefully a moderator can sticky this and it can be kept as a valuable resource and i will try to update weekly or even more often Please try to refrain from general chit-chat, but feel free to discuss engine, suspension ,and trans mods that have been made to make the above times and figures cheers, Warren PS.. the only rules are: - must be a nissan transmission - must be original displacement motor (basically an original car but modified..)

so who was looking after your son while you were under the car?
-
how much lower than stock? are these aftermarket coilovers or just aftermarket shocks with low springs over them? got a pic of them installed on a car?
-
ok i have now given the car a good lot of driving... changes from first to second are a bit harsher than normal. sometime at low speeds you can feel a bit of a jolt/clunk as it changes gears.. other gear changes are fine changes are mid to high rpm are very smooth flat out first to second does chirp the wheels too! obviously all the gear changes are now instantaneous... as for the stally... i can get it to about 3300rpm holding the brake and handbrake. this gives my 6psi after than i start to wheelspin... this is going to make a HUGE different at the drags adn will defiately drop my 60' times half a second and hopefully my ET by 0.7sec or so...
