i know i am diggin up an old thread here.. i wanted to know from the person who started the thread how thier gearbox is going, and how the tune went with the auto? i don't see how it will be a problem as the engine ECU doesn't control the auto trans anyway... it sends signals to the auto ECU which controls the trans. only the engine ECU is replaced so the auto ECU is still there and doing its thang... but keen to find out how the trans is holding up cheers, Warren

oh, yeah but its only a small bit where the main opening is for the intercooler... best (and cheapest) option would be to take it to a mechanic or panel beater with the bumper off and ask them nicely to cut it for you. they might even do it for free! mark it first with something like liquid paper so its easy to see where to cut... will take them less than 5 minutes cheers, Warren

hey mate if this is for fitting a GTR front bar to a GTSt then don't worry about it - just cut holes in the gtst one fore the N1 vents.. the rest fits up fine (i just did this myself) if its genuinely for a GTR, sorry to bother you

hey mate do you have the stock blow-off valve or an aftermarket one? i suggest - find out about your bov type, this may be the problem... - adjust your throttle position sensor (TPS) - do a search for this info - turn the idle up to about 800rpm when warm - there's a screw on the back of the intake manifold near the master cylinder... turn that to adjust idle. do a search again for more info cheers, Warren

is it turbo? does it have an aftermarket BOV? what does it idle at? i suggest - getting a service including spark plugs and fuel filter - clean the AFM do a serach for more info on the above best of luck, and congrats on the purchase! don't fret the auto rocks! auto ftw!! Warren

man the rb20 sounds awesome on my car with the 3" exhaust... try some cam gears... or record the sound of an old V8 and play it on your stereo real loud

in neutral there is no load on the engine, so no boost if you think its fixed the problem you have to take it for a drive... cheers, Warren

ok this is most likely a very simple fix firstly, with the boost controller having no spring it essentialyl is working as stock. the spring is what makesthe boost what it is! now for the rough runnign and no boost.. options as to what it is: - intercooler hose loose / clamp on too loose - intercooler hose with a crack in it - AFM giving problems what to do? first, try cleaning the inside of the AFM with a few sprays of brake cleaner next, take a torch and look over the car at the intercooler clamps to make sure all the hoses are on right. check in the front bar too and thay are hard to see.. most likely that this is the problem... best of luck, Warren
