maybe its something to do with fuel vaccum when the car is off?
my fuel cap doesn't go "pssh" when i open it.. i have always thought there might be somewhere that is making the fuel tank lose vaccum and maybe this hinders the start?
man this guy obviously doesn't know much about exhausts so do you think he's going to make you a good quality exhaust?
the exhaust i have from BATMBL, however, is excellent quality...
where are you located?
i'm selling an intercooler and piping for $150 but i'm in brisbane.. that price is pickup postage would be on top of that but could be expensive to send interstate...
see below for pics:

i'd throw my car in if it was the weekend after jamboree
now that i have the gtr front, rice in the engine, and bling in the interior
(dark blue R32 GTSt)
i think we are wasting our breath here guys.. he obviously wants a pod and doesn't want any advice to the contrary
i personally won't be replying to any of his threads from now on.. why waste my time if the advice is not appreciated (regardless of whether or not he wants to take the advice)?
but each car works different with different settings...
when i had mine tuned, the tuner said that it made less power with all the settings they tried except for the ones they ended up with, which made more power obviously
nice advertisement for your company there shan..
mate you've got it setup perfectly! your step brother can sell you his R31 for cheap.. it probably goes just as hard as an NA R32 or R33 anyway...
then in 2-3years when everyone's skyline has depreciated and you have a few more g's saved up you can pick a good condition turbo skyline for the same/less than you would have otherwise gotten an NA skyline
as i said, its not the most pretty option as its always fun to get the best thing you can sometimes, but finantially it makes good sense
anyway let us know how you decide...
ok to give you more info on the fact that this is normal...
this has happened to my car since i bought it 3.5 years ago...
what have i changed/cleaned to try to fix it?
- AFM
- fuel filter + hoses (also have changed to a walbro fuel pump with the problem still there)
- IAC valve
- AAC valve
- O2 sensor
- base timing
- battery
- spark plugs
- coils
that's all i can think of... pretty much changed or cleaned every sensor with no luck. running the car with nissan datascan reveals no problems either...
so if you find the problem, tell us all and make about 1500 skyline owners very happy
why not just get an R31 and keep the cash in savings for a bigger and better car later?
really, the gts25 doesn't have any kind of performance other than its handling and looks...
i know its not what you want to hear, but its an option and one i personally think is worth considering
otherwise keep a watchful eye on

best of luck!

you should modify the first post... here's what it should read...
"please tell me where to get a box for my pod, but i want no advice about its usefullness and i don't want any information about the stock airbox as its shit"
as i read your posts i see a child with their hands over their ears going "na na na na" and only stpooing when they see something they want to hear...
have you heard the saying "you can't have your cake and eat it too"? think about it... its noise vs legal here
from what i have heard, everything carmate sells does not fit
its supposed to fit - call them and ask them why it doesn't. if no luck, take it to a panel beater and get them to make it fit!
mate, i like to call it the "R32 syndrome"...
if you did a search you would find that this is a VERY common idiosyncrasy that many rb20 owners find they have with hot starts
it is benign - try not to worry about it!
mate... think about what you want here
you want a pod for its sound... but you want an airbox for its "stealth" factor...
what do you think will happen to the sound if you enclose a pod? its going to sound the same as a friggin airbox!
oh, and GTST didn't come down in the last shower - he knows what he is on about and has some good advice for you. take it or leave it, but don't dispute every word he says
do you want us to tell you the truth?
or do you want us to tell you what you want to hear?
not a huge fan mate, i honestly think there are a lot of better options out there..
but hey its a new car and its got balls that's for sure...
hope it goes well - post some pics and a review when you get it
ha ha its totoally BS as said..
when i was looking at cars 3-4yrs ago, i came across a soarer that said 750kgs on the rego sticker! and the owner was trying to convince me that it was true! ha ha.. moron...
i see it as replacing "couldn't afford" with "not a priority to get"
but the best way to learn is by makign mistakes.. grant it this was quite a big one, but its something we can all learn from
alarm + insurance = vital!
i chagned the globes this week but i replaced them wtih normal wedge type globes rather than LEDs...
i used some that i got from eBay.. paid $35 for 6 glboes including delivery
they are xenon+hallogen filled and blue tinted, similar to what you would upgrade to with a headlight
so the results is much brighter and whiter light
but it has a tinge of blue in it too...
and i used the last globe (i bought 6 and it requires 5) to change the backlight for the auto trans gear shifter.. from a green to a blue also..
definately brighter and worth the cash!
