  1. 220rwkw on stock turbo? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  2. i have a stock R32gtst cat which has been gutted - about as high flow as you can get! i think its 2.25" - universal fit for all nissans i think... its yours for $50 if you want.. i'm in New Farm and pickup can be arranged... PM me if interested
  3. i have heard that you can do the following to get all the fluid out.. but it doesn't clean the filter for you.. - undo the hose to the radiator for the stock transmission cooler - place one end into a bucket - start engine the fluid will pump out in very quick time then turn car off immediately after fluid is out then fill her up! i'm not game to do this, however, as i'm not sure if having the transmission running without fluid, even for 2 seconds, would be a problem or not anyway, glad it went well for you post up a guide if you can be bothered
  4. i think the torque converter holds about 5L as well which can't be accessed unless its taken out or pumped out
  5. not that i know of contact details: Mike at MV AUTOMATICS 1 Stirling Rd Blackwood SA 5051 (08) 8370 0430 people here speak very highly of them.. and they have been referred to in HPI magazine on numerous occasions
  6. thanks mate.. where is zillmere located in regards to new farm / brisbane city?
  7. biting my tongue at spook's comment.. (edited by Warren)
  8. cheers, nice and local too! anyone else have any recommendations?
  9. i got mine at www.accessoriesonline.com.au they also have an ebay store $102 delivered for a set of 4 including a nissan logo...
  10. So, i have just ordered some parts from Mike at MV automatics in Adelaide - 2800rpm high-stall torque converter - stage 2 shift kit - service kit where to take them to get installed? I could go back to the trusty team at Mercury Motorsports, but i think it would be best at a transmission specialist, rather than a mechanical specialist can anyone recommend a place near the birsbane city, preferrably northside? hope to see some low 14s or high 13s after this... cheers, Warren
  11. i asked this last year when i came to brisbane and still haven't found one i go to a place in bowen hills near the RBWH - $25 gets you a vaccum, wash, spray-on wax, and dry - all by hand - while you watch and sip a coffee and look at the scenery
  12. parts have been ordered should take about 1.5 weeks to get them all made and sent out, then i just have to put them in and i'm laughing! mike thinks that even with the rb25 turbs on rb20 i should be able to get about 4-5psi at that rpm to help me shoot off the line! 13's here i come!!! (ran a 14.7 @ 98mph with the current setup)
  13. so you have a high-stall in your car, 2rismo? how does it drive on the street?
  14. rb25 turbo on rb20 is not much laggier (if at all) than stock.. i was referring to the fact that the rb20 is laggy. whatever turbo. maybe not if a turbo off a suzuki cappuccino was bolted on? hmmmm 6*mini-turbos? on a wicked custom exhaust manifold? the closest thing to power without any lag...
  15. OK, i have spoken to the Mike at MV automatics, and am seriourly thinking about ordering tomorrow morning an upgrade for my rb20 automatic gearbox, consisting of a 2800rpm high-stall and stage 2 shift kit i want to know if anyone has gone down this route and can give me a description of how it drives? Mike said that drivability is alomst normal and the converter still locks on the highway so fuel economy is almost normal too... apparently their gearbox drives nothing like the traditional V8 high-stall gearboxes... can anyone give me some insight?? cheers, Warren
  16. can you say lag? its laggy enough with an rb25 turbo...
  17. i get bout 300kms per tank with the automatic (drink more than manual) that's around town only, and not exactly driving sedately
  18. gary - stock ECU (i know, i know, its my next engine mod.. but goign the shift kit first) don't have the snow mode button, only the "hold" which i believe is the same thing - will try the 2nd-gear-takeoff-then-into-first method before i go next neutral dump? i'm not an idiot... no point buying smaller tyres as it defeats the purpose of my drive in, drive away approach oh, and i ran it on optimax extreme, like i do everyday
  19. it said in the last issue that the front bar was from jetspeed maybe contact them?
  20. mine is an auto and still laggy the ECU and timing is not the answer unfortunately... but both cars can be retarded on the dyno to 25deg BTDC usualy without much problem
  21. dump/front pipe up the boost after this to 12psi adjustable cam gears - exhaust and inlet
  22. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=115398&hl= hope that helps
  23. firstly.. i never said that kezza organised a bad product, in fact i never said anything about the product kezza had organised, not about his integrity as a member of SAU.. so relax on the whole "i have dealt with kezza and he is a good bloke" thing, because i know he is, and i was never saying otherwise I simply pointed out for the people who are asking for a bezel, that there is an alternative way to get them.. that are metal and not plastic, and arrive in only 2 weeks How can you tell the quality from one shitty picture? its not even a picture of the bezel up close.. i know you aren't making any money out of this, so why do you care what people do? they are free to make a choice as to the product they buy... oh, and i never said anything about a ring set.. Warren
  24. i have been holding this back but feel i can say it now that the group buy is over: i bought a brushed stainless steel bezel for $30 incluing delivery fron the USA to australia great quality, fits perfectly, and looks great... also comes in brushed aluminium and chrome for those that can't wait for another group buy, and for half the cost http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-Skyl...sspagenameZWD2V
