  1. considered a nice audi? my cousin bought a new A4 recently.. 2.4L Build quality, comfort, and luxury is amazing to say the least As someone else said, they kill the BMW band for buck my issue with BMW's is that they are not worth what you pay - you are basically paying about 10,000 on top of the price just for the BMW key/keyring to show your mates drive a few different cars before you set your mind on one
  2. talk about hijacking my thread!
  3. if this is an emergency, try searching for "AFM solder" there's a simple fix that can repair many a broekn AFM easily all you need is a soldering iron and about 1hr of your time
  4. i thought they had to be removed for compliance... i don;t have mine, nor do i want one - extra weight for no reason!
  5. have you adjusted them yet?
  6. also, they're not supposted to go on the front, only the rear
  7. looks nice mate!
  8. i have no spike running 14psi... have you tried winding it literally out as far as it can go?
  9. just out of curiosiuty.. what colour are people going for their mats? my R32 interior is grey carpet and most of dash black rest of dash and steering wheel ivory seats I was thinking of going either a grey to match the current carpet, or a balck to match the rest of the dash what does everyone think? cheers, Warren
  10. i've got a stock R32 turbo if you need one... going cheap too!
  11. So i was going to buy a set of floor mats for my R32GTSt but wanted to check something.. On my passenger side floor next to the gearbox there is a hump, like the RHS of the passenger foot area This is normal, right? so if i buy floor mats it will accommodate this? Or is this abnormal? I've always (for over 3 years) just assumed its normal... cheers, Warren
  12. for the person who asked... the seats have a new back pocket you don't have to do anything to your old pocket it just goes over the top
  13. try the following: www.justjap.com www.carmate.com.au www.jetspeed.com.au they all sell new fibreglass front bumpers to suit the gtst for around $500
  14. ha ha you like the gear knob? i haven't seen ANY auto's with aftermarket gear knobs and i have no idea why! i bought mine for $50 from ebay it ws easy to make up the switch actually.. the hardest part was getting the old gear knob off - required quite a bit of modification eg cutting things off There's 2 wires that run to the gear knob. When not connected, O/D is on. When they are connected this turns the overdrive off. I think its designed that way so that you can not accidentally lose O/D ifthe wire gets cut somewhere accidentally... So i just made a switch and connected the 2 wires to the switch. When the switch is off, the O/D is on, and vise versa Warren.
  15. how old? happy birthday mate.. not that i've met you before..
  16. have you tried posting this in the "wanted to buy" section?
  17. the factors seats have no covers.. they are only cloth stiched onto the foam thus why there arent any other seat covers out there so in answer to your question, i placed these over the factory seats - as is
  18. why can't we say take it to a shop to get it tuned? each car is different, and yours might make less power than the next car with the same settings but saying that, your setup is very similar to mine. see the link below. my gears are set at in: +3 ex: -5 link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=115398&hl=
  19. if you don't know how to change it then i would say its best not to... go to your local tuner and spend an hour on the dyno.. they will adjust the timing for you and show you any power rise and it'll be done properly and safely..
  20. in theory, yes in reality, i don't think it really matters as long as its after the turbo i've seen it between the turbo and intercooler entry on a few cars with no issues...
  21. a 5 seater? aren't the all? that is... if you call that middle hump a seat there is a seatbelt there and i've had 3 * 6-foot tall mates in the back before
  22. not sure of the code they called the colour "ivory" its darker than white, but lighter than the cream
  23. given my mechanical knowledge which is about medium and my availability of tools which is pretty low, i would say it was a 3/10 tools required: ratchet with 14mm and 10mm heads phillips-head screwdriver crowbar (to remove back seat easily) Remove 4 bolts per front seat Place covers over bottom of front seats and secure Slide covers over top and secure Slide over top of headrests and secure Remove back seat. 2 clips under bottom, 2 bolts for back Place covers over and secure Reverse the above to re-install The hardest thing is sliding the cover over the top of the front seats as its a tight fit
  24. no worries mate.. i know you're just excited because you are going to get yourself a set of these
