  1. or do you have a part number? maybe its the same part number as the 300zx item in the above link.. then we can just get that VDO item! $60 is a little bit cheaper than $250...
  2. did you install it yourself, booster? can you talk us through it?
  3. i mean sell them for the same price as i bought them to the hundreds of people on SAU that want to get theirs to work i didn't men sell them for hundreds (as in dollars) but if they are about $60 each, i might not be able to afford to make the outlay for many (am a student still!)
  4. if i can get a replacement from VDO and get it to work, i might buy a few and sell them for the hundreds of ppl on here that would love their stock gauge to work
  5. awesome i know where the oil filter is.. i do services myself so it can be accessed with the filter still on? when removed, would it leak much oil? or just a trickle? cheers, Warren
  6. mate, do you have the windscreen washer reservoire bottle, pump, and valves that go with it all? cheers, Warren
  7. I just emailed VDO to see ifthey have a replacement OEM one.. anyone have a picture ofit on the engine block? So i know what to look for? thanks, Warren
  8. http://www.aus300zx.com/tech/ops/ops.htm this shows that it can be replaced on a 300zx... there has to be hope for the skyline!
  9. Does anyone know where the oil pressure sender is on the RB engine? specifically rb20det... I know they play up on most skylines, and many other nissans such as 300zx ...I want to try to replace it to see if i can get my gauge working right Also, is an oil pressure sender a universal unit? or car specific? You can always get a thread adaptor to make another one fit i think, but will it be sending the right values to hte gauge? Or is there a replacement that works fine eg rb30e from R31 or VL? Or from another nissan eg maxima etc.? Thanks for your help, Warren

  11. shifting manually doesn't make a difference as it still changes are redline.. when you put your foot down, it activates the "power" function automatically and it can't be turned off when you're flat out... and as i have an rb25 turbo, the exhaust wheel is slightly too big to make boost when stalling the auto at 1800rpm.. I would say its about -2psi (relative to atmospheric) at that load, so its quite close to making positive manifold pressure, but not quite there
  12. well it looks completely different to the stock cat i had in my R32..
  13. there's a guy on the forums who remaps the R33 ECU ("toshi" i think his name is), so it certainly is possible... and that figure is much too high for a stock engine. it ain't stock..
  14. hard to say on those photos (the angle doesn't show the body of the cat very well), but it looks like it might be an older aftermarket one
  15. thanks for the advice, rev210... jsut what i was after i will be doing the ECU, but what i was waiting for was for my other engine mods to be done first. i'm not going to be doing much else to theengine for a while (have just done rb25 turbo and cam gears), so new EPROM is the go i think trans will be next, however. shift kit is a definate. high stall? well i'm not sure that thie would suit the fact that its an everyday driver and lack of low-down torque is the problem at the moment.. i mean i could try to get like a 2300-2500rpm torque converter maybe? like a small increase? not sure about my options though and how much it will cost.. my airbox has been heavily tampered with. i have removed the baffles and re-routed 2 ram-air feeds.. next quarter run i might remove the air filter too.. a 13sec car?? really?? so you think dropping 60' by 0.4 will take almost a second off the ET?? hmmmmm
  16. mitsubishi, ford, and holden should take this advice and save themselves the hassle of each spendign millions in development for no reason: they should make a new brans, known as "formitho" and just release one car known as the "falcadore380" It would save them the trouble and no one would even tell the difference one word summarises the new holden... boring
  17. argh! why was this thread moved? no one looks in teh stupid drag section!!
  18. my mods: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=115398&hl= XR6 turbo only runs 14.9?
  19. broke my drag racing virginity thursday night at Willowbank, QLD car: r32 gtst rb20det automatic 155rwkw time: ET = 14.714 speed = 98mph 60' = 2.503 The 2 things that were hurting me: takeoff with the auto and rb25 turbo was hard. stomped on accelerator and brake and pulled up handbrake, but couldn't build positive manifold pressure as it has an rb25 turbo that's slightly too big to get boost at that load i run out of power about 6000rpm as seen on the dyno, so the auto changing at 7500rpm wasn't helping.. would ideally have changed at 6500rpm of there abouts any ideas to improve? does that mph match the ET? i'm considering a shift kit and going to ring MV automatics next week.. cheers, Warren
  20. i smell something... and it ain't the fart i just did... but it does smell quite similar
  21. brisbane? cairns? inbetween? you're oncall? what do you do?
  22. s14a definately..
  23. does that MPH match the ET, or should it be more/less?
