  2. did you connect the small host from the plenum to the top?
  3. these days R33's are like arseholes.... everyone has one dont sell out mate, keep true to the R32!
  4. so no one thinks im stupid changing from one FMIC to another? good... thouht i was just being pedantic!
  5. also, do you have any other pics ie how it looks in the engine bay?? PS nice front bar!!
  6. thanks for the pics! was that the type 1 or type 2 kit? how does it go with clearance ofthe fan and bonnet? any rubbing? also, where does the piping start after the turbo? like how much of the stock piping is needed? reason is with my current setup, it has gotten rid of all the factory piping. hmm maybe it would be easiest to just hand it to a workshop and say "i'll be back in an hour - fit this" As i mentioned the fan has been clipped, hole under battery already drilled, and front bar cut away a hell of a lot already. although i am using the bumper support still, but that doesn't realyl et in the way much Really, the only thing would be to mount it put in a nipple for the boost controller...
  7. So i have a FMIC, but it annoys me for a few reasons... 1) it does not sit symmetrically in the middle of the front of the car so looks weird 2) piping made of mild steel (painted black) and beginning to rust in some areas exosed to the elements 3) piping rubs on bonnet 4) intercooler has the inlet on the top half of the core, but the outlet on the bottom half of the core, and i'm not sure this is the best for flow... But its a tube and fin core, which i like... So i was thinking... i already have many of the modifications done that are required to fit a FMIC such as cut a hole under the battery, trim the fan blades, and move the horns. i've also already cut my front bar to fit a FMIC and won't hesitate to do it again.. So i was tinking of getting a new kit that is tried and tested to work well... So if i buy a just jap kit for say 500 i could sell mine for a few hundred and i'd be happy with the turnover if it gets rid of the 4 annoyances i have above. plus, add some bling to my engine bay with those chrome pipes So who has one of the just jap intercooler kits? any notes on installation that i should know about? Speciically, any pictures of any installed? I have done a search but only revealed that people have had trouble mounting them... Do they include brackets? and does it mount to stock holes on the car or d you have to drill new holes? Any advice appreciated cheers, Warren
  8. automatics are dynoed in 2nd gear... wonder if that makes much difference? probalby not...

  11. there's a sticky in the victorian section - check it out the place i recommend is called performance jap specialist and is located in campbelfield. can't remember their number off the top of my head. the guy who owns/runs it is named Prassana and is a top bloke
  12. are the scratches on the the windows on the insider or outside? Both of my windows are scratched, but there's tinting on the inside I always just thought they were on the inside and the tinting is now over the scratches - so they're there for life
  13. post up a picure of this supposed oil cooler setup you have.. R34's do have an oil cooler as standard - saw a picture and read an article in the latest hot4's magazine

  15. series 1 and 2 R32 have just different material as the seats series 1 and 2 R33 i have no idea about as i don't have one just go to their ebay website and see, or call them on the above numbers...
  16. The company is called "ultimate auto trim" You just call them and make a time to come and see the seat covers when you can. i don't think they are there all the time, except the guy that makes them. Their numbers are: 0433 113 911 or 0432 208 972 Its not really a shop, just a factory in dandenong south that has a front with some seats and covers and some other stuff like steering wheels from what the guy said to me, his family runs the factors overseas that makes the material - its a mix of leather and PVC but feels like leather. Has a foam backing too so its not a rought feel. It also comes with 1 year warranty for cracking, tearing etc. He basically gets the material and makes the seat based on a template for your car. They are supposed to fit perfectly. I placed my order last week and he said it would be done by the 28th of this month and sent out very soon after. Call them for more info, or simply wit for me to post pics before you go ahead with it! cheers, Warren
  17. He replied to me this afternoon and said they make the R32 ones He is getting a price for me but if you contact him too he might get into gear as he will sell a few more if we can get it included in the group buy...
  18. ok mate, this is a really bad question to ask the people here, as everyone is going to rave about their own exhaust, or spit out brand names that cost thousands... my opinion is that an exhaust, as long as its flow is fine, does not need to have a brand name or anything like that in order to make power. I think the loudness of an exhaust is related to - its age - type of muffler - presence/absence of resonator/second muffler Thus... when factoring in price, loudness, and power, i believe the best option is to get a setup that comprises a custom cat-back and cheap dump/front off the forums So keeping in mind that a "turbo-back" exhaust consists of - dump pipe - front pipe - cat - cat-back i reccommend the following: 1) dump/front pipe in one from BATMBL: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=74022 2) 3" cat from BATMBL: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=74022 3) custom 3" mandrel-bent exhaust including new muffler and resonator: see your local exhaust shop and shop around for a few prices... This should all up cost you less than $1000 and see you a decent increase in the seat-o-the-pants-o-meter cheers, Warren
  19. Nice to see the auto getting some more airtime I have been modding my auto R32... nowhere ner as much as you though. I took it from less than 100rwkw in stock form to 155rwkw in its present state with more-or-less the stock ECU Love the way it drives... best of luck with the rest of the upgrades! Warren
  20. have emailed Stuart about the skyline mats... If they sell them, maybe you could combime R32 and stagea mats to make the required 10 total for the group buy? i'm sure that would please many...
  21. yeah fluffy in the middle of the seat.. like you see on almost every custom leather install in magazines
  22. well they look awesome and whoever organised the thread has done a runner... barstards.. the price was 550 for single colour front and back, but i ot optional extras + 50 for wrinkly on front and back + 30 for nissan logo embossed into front seats (another 20 for back seats too, but i didn't want the back seats logo'ed) + 50 for postage to brisbane handbrake boo was thrown in for free as i got the works as far as options go. after all, you can't take them back to get the extras put in. its now or never! will post pics when they arrive. he's making them as we speak and should be posting them on the 28th
  23. going to be an SAU dyno day or just a dyno day in general?
  24. so the ebay ones aren't made to fit the R32 then? sometimes you can find a bargain on ebay.. its not necessarily shit by default when you see it...
