  1. qwhat's it like on boost vs off boost? if its only bad on boost (like above 2500rpm), maybe the afm has a bad connection?
  2. I have some parts for sale in Brisbane that i have accumulated over the past few months... pictures and original thread located here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=117923 - R33gtst stock bov (same as R32 bov) in good condition - SOLD - R32gtst rear mud flaps - perfect to finish of that r32 without rear pods - $30pair - gutted 2.5" catalytic converter. Fits R32/R33 skylines. perfect for that turbo/NA skyline that goes to the drags. flows much more than any high-flow 3" converter - $50 - R32gtst stock cam gears - $20 - R32gtst stock heat shield (painted black) - $30 - R32gtst stock turbo. Came of my rb20 (series 2 - 1992) with 140,000kms and has no shaft play. Was in excellent working order when removed. Comes with rb20 "elbow pipe" and rb25 wastegate actuator - $150 - R32gtst steering column, including ingition barrel, key, indicator stalk - $50 items are located in New Farm, Brisbane. will post small items but not the larger items eg turbo or steering column.. (postage additional to above prices) contact via PM or email: warren_clements at hotmail.com cheers, Warren
  3. mate... that car you drove has a stock turbo and is running about 9psi
  4. if you mean you are getting the r33 turbo then getting the stock ecu re-tuned... then you are going the best option if this is not what you mean, maybe it should be what you men?
  5. its hard to work out exactly what you mean i interpret it as at 5grand the turbo heeps spinning but runs out of power? if so, this sounds like the stock turbo, not an rb25 turbo... also, is it 5psi or 5 on the stiock gauge? the stock gauge reads in mmHg and 5mmHg is equivalent to about 9.5psi either way, if you are not happy with the car, don't buy it cheers, Warren
  6. um... only one person realised that i made this up because the question has an answer that can never be given?
  7. my r33 turbo on rb20 handels the stock ecu fine, so the safc should work nicely
  8. mine is as #1 does it really matter? really? no, i don't think its going to affect the operation of the transmission you're just being pedantic about your car, which is not a bad thing, just worrying about something that really doesn't need to be worried about
  9. i have a walbro in my R32 gtst can hear it at idle (with stereo off) and when priming have had no issues with it, other than it pulls a lot of charge from the battery when priming
  10. they would have to be turbos with an exhaust wheel diameter of about 0.5cm each
  11. yes i have the information you need... there are exactly 256,439 cars excluding half cuts or 341,692 including half cuts based on data i made up on 15/5/06 sleep better now?
  12. shiny purple - see attachments will be replacing the timing cover soon, but its off for the photos... ross80 - i have no experience with the rb25, but based on my results i can definately recommend cam gears on the R33 - i believe you can only do the exhaust gear, however due to the VCT on the inlet side cheers, Warren
  13. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...opic=115398&hl= this is my experience with te rb25 turbo - hope it helps, stoja

  15. there's a group buy on these in the group buys section i think...
  16. "If I Were To Convert My R33 Auto To A Manual..." ...then i would have just wasted my time and money seriously mate.. tis still a turbo skyline does it really matter? it still handles great and accelerates fast.
  17. restrictions apply to a car based on its stock tare weight and stock flywheel output (this is for victoria anyway) modifying the car to either increase its output or decrease its output does not change whether its acceptible or not eg buying a R32 GTR and jammign the wastegate open does not make it legal to drive eg buying a R32 GTSt and modifying it to make 150rwkw does not make iot illegal changing the engine however inroduces a new engine and a new stock flywheel output. there is heaps more info around. do a search
  18. flat spot is rpm dependent, not a matter of gears yours sounds like a normal car in that at such a high engine output things are jsut being restricted (eg stock exhaust) you shouldn't really be seeing that side of 5th gear anyway...
  19. i have a 2.5" gutted cat that came off my r32 PM me if interested great for the track!
  20. where is tingalpa? can it run 2wd cars too? i might be interested...
  21. based on my experience, anything more than the stock turbo requires a fuel pump i can recommend an rb25 turbo and the only extra thing you will need is a fuel pump (as mentioned) and that will work with the stock ecu nicely this will also maintain reliability you might want to also consider a boost controller.. cheers, Warren
  22. check out JEDI-77 on the aus300zx.com forums for some more ideas on mods... 155rwkw from a 3L NA is pretty good, but his list of mods would fill the screen..
  23. i'm not sure how much extra air you think you will get with all these intake mods.. a mate of mine has poured thousands of $$$ into an NA zed to only get 155rwkw after porting the head and throttle bodies he noticed no difference in power..
  24. hey mike i got the boss kit off it - thanks mate if you want the rest of the steering column back, then you can have it for the $10 difference that we agreed to based on the difference between what i would pay for just the boss kit.. i don't want you to feel like you are getting ripped off... Warren
