I’ve generally had good inspectors, I tend to chat to them a bit as they are doing their thing, last one was importing a s14 race rally for track/drift work and had some good advice about what really is or isn't legal for road use. It’s not the inspection that bothers me, it’s the whole bending over and taking it because that’s how it is... Now who knows where I can find the actual legislation regarding the yellow sticker?

Nuy new ones, if you dont it will eat at you forever!!! lol. But seriousley, its a reliability thing so i wouldn't skimp on that

Went and spoke to a guy at the east Perth inspection centre, he looked over the car and said that it shouldn’t have gotten a yellow but couldn’t take it off. Said that I had to go and speak to the sergeant in charge of the officers that gave me the yellow. Went to see the Sergeant at the Freo police station, he agreed that all the mods that they pointed at were fine (pod, gauges, exhaust) and said that he told the officers not to pick on them again, however proceeded to pick on the space saver tyre in the boot having little tread and windscreen wipers a bit worn on one end of them (one inch long). Not sure what I can do from here...

Haha, yeah that was me, im usualy arround that area. Funny thing is after passing you and turning left onto farington a white 34GTR passed me heading the other direction, crazy. Not going to lie to anyone, car doesn’t look particularly stock when you pop the bonnet. Has painted cam covers Clear timing belt cover, pods, shiny gready oil filter relocation (part of oil cooler) exposed splitfires.. etc. None of the modifications on the car are illegal though, stock cat and all and if the police are going to yellow something they need to know what they are talking about

Wasn’t doing anything at all, just driving on Northlake road on the speed limit. They didn’t seem to be fairly reasonable, talked to a guy on the phone at the department of defects and he told me to go see a guy at east Perth, will see how that goes tomorrow. I don’t really see why I should go and spend my hard earned at the pits when there is nothing to fix on the sticker. I wouldn’t have an issue if there was actually something wrong, but there isn’t.

Had the car back on the road for about 2 weeks and managed to get a yellow already.... Very upsetting. After having a polite chat with the officers and showing them around the car for 15mins or so without them being able to find anything I was told that they are sending me over the pits just in case... How does that work? Visible mods on car are pod filters which they shook for a while (they are secured to the chassis with metal brackets), street legal exhaust and 2 gauges off to the left on the dash. The yellow sticker just says "Post manufacture Modifications to comply with Vehicle Standard Regulations" that is all... Thought they actually had to have something to defect? i.e.: Exhaust to loud, Pod's unsecured etc.... I tried to find the laws regarding yellow stickers but got nothing... Called them up and was basically told that it’s all up to the cops and there is no guidelines for them... Anyone know any info regarding the actual law's related to yellow stickers? Such as what they are given for, how many things have to be wrong before they are given?

Looks like they do, thanks. They only list them in a kit with the DBA 4000 rotors... I just want the adapters themselves, wonder if he would seperate... Is he a trader on here by any chance?

32 GTR front breaks work with a toyota hilux pad... i know because im using them (needed breaks that day and nothing else was available)

Buy the ps3, a fair chunk better graphix then 360 (it is newer afterall), comes with all the cool things like wireless so you can stream movies straight from your PC to your TV and browse the net. Plus Blueray would look mighty fine with that new tv of yours and you get to conect it through HDMI which is always good

On a simmilar subject does anyone know of anyone selling the adapters to run standard r32 GTR sumimotos on 324mm (33GTR) rotors?

Had the exact thing done to my turbos by slide on here (rebuilt with steel wheels, turbo size is still the same). Just got the car back together and had a run in tune. got 275.3hp (205kw) at the wheels on 9psi with awsome response and drivability. Will be pushing them to 16psi or so in about two weeks. Ummm.. Its supose to be able to wigle up and down a bit if it doesnt then its probably seized...

After 3 long years that this car has been off the road its finaly allive and kicking (hard) again so thought i would post up a dyno sheet of its run in tune. Engine is fully rebuilt with Tomei forgies and stuff, Power mods are: (full mod list is rather large...) Stock turbos rebuilt with steel wheels HKS dump pipes, apexi front pipes, stock cat, 5zigen cat back M's pod filters SplitFire coils Tomei adjustable cam gears (not yet adjusted) Power FC car only running 9psi (of the waste gate springs) for the run in tune, will go to 16psi or so once run in. Made 275.3HP atw Once run in and sorted hoping to go do some track work....

Wonder why the 32 is shown as a gtr while the 33/34 are not...
