Forgot to mention that the item is being delivered to the port for my collection. I.e. no freight agent is delivering this to me if that make a difference.

Hi All, This may be a little off topic for this section of the forum but I figured this would be the place to find people that know what they are talking about. I have recently purchased a G37 6 speed gearbox from a wrecker in Miami and they have arranged freight for this to Brisbane. Today I received a call from the freight agent to let me know it is due to arrive next week. I believe I need to arrange the customs clearance forms or whatever is required to release the parts to me. Now the dutiable value of the gearbox is well under the threshold ($600AUD approx). Does anyone know from experience what I will need to do or am I best using a customs broker? Regards Jamie

Best Value Dump Pipes For Gt-Rs Fitted Rb28
«Cyph3r» replied to «Cyph3r»'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks everyone for all the help. Ordered some HPI dumps today for him. Tried Performance Metalcraft after reading an old thread by Sydneykid but they said they only do custom split dump/front pipes now and taking the car down to Sydney wasn't really an option. Those HKS split pipes are tiny! Yeah Piggaz, he would have gone different setup turbo wise but they were on it when he bought the car, then spent a fortune when he needed to replace a crank with a badly damaged keyway and it turned into a "do it once, do it right" engine build. -
Hi All, I've done some quick searches but wasn't really able to get any definitive answers for what I was looking for, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough Anyway, a friend of mine is looking to replace some leaky mild steel dump pipes he has on his skyline. They are custom 3" mild steel dumps. These go into 3" front pipes that run into a twin 3" cat back to just before the diff where it merges into a single 4". I believe the front pipes and cat back are CES items. He is on a bit of a tight budget at the moment for various reasons and can't afford to go CES competition dumps and front pipe combo ( almost $1700 in mild steel!!!) which was my suggestion. Are there any off the shelf 3" items available that anyone knows of, or does he even need 3" dumps. I was under the impression that the size at dumps and front pipes is most crucial in limiting restriction in turbine flow. (As well as placing turbulence at least 400mm away from turbine outlet. The basic specs of the motor are as follows: 2.8L stroker kit HKS GT-RS twin turbo kit Stock mild steel exhaust manifolds Oversize valves (inlet and exhaust) Tomei cams (268deg in/ex I think with the largest lift) The engine is making 550rwhp at present Custom 3" dump pipes (leaky as the mild steel is corroded under heat wrap) CES 3" twin front pipes CES dual 3" exhaust merging to single 4" at rear. Response is more important to him than outright power (if that has any bearing in suggestions). Thanks in advance for any guidance! Cheers Jamie

Not really sure how much luck I'll have here, but this is still sitting in my house and I'm getting sick of walking past it. Will sell the lot for $2000 and throw in another Audison VR series amp, a Pioneer amp I have here and a box full of high end Audison speaker cable, power cable, distribution blocks and fuses. Only catch is buyer pays for post unless they can pickup, which would be preferred. If it doesn't sell I'll put on eBay and post up a link.

World Time Attack Challenge 2012

Well given that the TIlton car was reportedly running basically as a FWD when it set it's fastest time sounds like it may have been able to rival Nemo with it's problems ironed out. Pretty impressive given how much it still resembles an evo with bolt ons, not unlike the Cyber evo when they were running Voltex. -

Would also be interesting to see some of the pro class australian cars heading over to buttonwillow and tsukuba to share some of the expense around and give rival teams a chance on their home ground. Kind of like Newman and Berry did quite some time ago heading to tsukuba at least. -

That sounds like the revolution rx7 that was there with basically a full tube frame in '11. -

Sounds like there was one rule for anyone in clubsprint class that rang up Ian and spoke to him and another for those that actually worked off the rules in writing. Wonder whether the rest of the field would have been quicker also if they were aware that they could get away with front splitters, rear diffusers, wider guards and canards. Seems to be as much an issue with the organisers not stating/enforcing the rules clearly enough as much as it was some of the entrants not following them however. -

I wasn't actually there to see and hear it coming down the straight, but is it possible that the gearing was quite short to give quicker acceleration by sacrificing some top speed? -

What was the story with the Cyber evo this year? Did it seem to be a case of C West not having the new aero package working for the chassis or more so mechanical issues? -

Love the summary Fatz. Sounds like I didn't miss too much. Have been the last two years but was undecided whether or not to head down this time. I was keen to see/hear the cosworth VQ powered GTR which apparently ended up in China so glad I didn't shell out the $1000 odd dollars to make my way down for it this time. Was the commentary as rubbish this year as previous years? -
Hi Jim, I would like to sell them for the advertised price, as I wrote in the ad I'm not giving them away. A seller has the right to ask whatever price they like. I know what they are worth. I am not desperate to sell. As clearly explained if they sell then good, if not I'd rather keep them then drop the price to what some people have been offering. The attitude is there to hopefully separate the serious buyers from the bargain hunting lowballers.

Item: 4 x TE37 18x9.5 +12 wheels with Falken FK452 225/40/18 tyres. PCD is 5x114.3. Condition: Very good, no kerbing/guttering, a few knicks from use and tyre fitting/wheel balancing. Have been powdercoated black over the bronze anodizing by previous owner. Tyres have done 2000km of normal driving. (No skidding and no track time) Location: Sunshine Coast, QLD. Price: $2750 pickup or buyer pays transport costs. Due to countless previous timewasters please read the following before contacting me. While I would like to free up some extra cash, I've just applied the genuine decals and quite happy with how they look on my car now so if I can't get what I consider to be a fair price for the wheels I'll keep them. Please don't contact me saying you bought your last set for $2200 so you'll give me that much, it really doesn't interest me. If you want another colour, buy another colour, there are other sets for sale. If there's a set that some guy on another forum has for $500 cheaper, buy his then, I don't really need to hear about it. I'll entertain offers close to asking price for pickup only. Pics: This is what the wheels owe me for those that are interested. $2500 for bare rims w/o valves/decals or tyres. $1000 for tyres fitted and balanced. (Review here http://www.1010tires...s/Falken/FK-452) $100 for Project Kics black valves. $100 for Genuine Volk decals. Contact via PM or reply in thread. I'll give phone number to serious buyers as I'm a bit sick of $2000 cash sms's. Thanks Jamie

It is a lowball so I will take it as what it is. I have had higher offers pick up. I suggest you buy one of these 2200 sets.

Unfortunately that was the widest tyre I could fit with those size rims on my silvia hence the new wheels. With the camber it would be perfect for a drift setup as it would spin through 2nd in the dry in a straight line and any gear when roads were damp. Seeing as grip is what I'm going for though I needed to get more tyre under the car. Not looking to separate at the moment, well not unless someone else in here wants to pay the difference for the tyres.

Had some queries about freight. Can send with a trustworthy courier, would cost approx $250 to Perth and under $200 for most eastern states. However I would have to make time to source boxes large enough, package them up safely and send them. For this reason I would still prefer a Brisbane or Sunshine Coast buyer.

I'm staying in Norman Park during the week but the wheels are on the sunshine coast right now where I stay during on most weekends. If anyone in Brisbane area is interested I would have to bring them down with me which isn't a problem, will just need a little notice.
