  1. to a point. forget swapping lights across. door hardware is also different.
  2. someone get me a part number (or chassis) and I'll see what I can get them out of japan for
  3. nice toy I did note the FG guards on it as a point of interest. looks like a JZX chaser. hopefully its not all databus based like the V/M series cars as I get enough grief form people trying to mod things and FK it up royally. Primo, unfortunately this is the case where the mighty $ has a say. people want these cars but do not wish to have them properly complied/serviced when they land and pay the associated fees to do so. after all why pay $4k per say to get the tyres changed, fluids done kid bolts properly done and associated odds n sods when someone else will do it for half and leave teh 7-8 yr old rubber in place things half arse and so forth.. A mate of mine figures 18 months tops before the whole thing falls over in a heap up here and 90% of them jump ship. I know of one place that swapped from jap to euro/US based gear for that reason. myself I have taken a slightly different route on them I now fix the electricals on them since there is no one really left that can be bothered working on them.
  4. or pioneer Oz. still need to see what you are talking about though.
  5. done plenty of those - no issue.
  6. could not have said it better myself. having owned several signed vehicles myself, when it does come time to remove it you will have a $25K car that will be worth NOTHING due to the damage the removal process caused. think twice.
  7. that will do it. make sure you seal the back of it as well.
  8. unless you are flogging the absolute crap out of the car 90 sec is fine. as for changing it - dont. its a programming feature that is not easily accessible and if you get it wrong teh car probably will not start again (these are right next to each other in the programming.)
  9. yep easy stuff first that way if you get tired of it the job to remove it is not so massive.. personal opinion is why myself? if you wanted a black car why didnt you buy one
  10. have not looked at the RAWS schedule yet - who's doing them up here?
  11. JZA80 - speakers are 4" in the doors of that car. its going to be fun to neatly put anything in there.
  12. I'm a clarion dealer - it will be a new unit.
  13. yep the thing speaks I2C or teh like. the screen is totally independent of the radio. suggest pulling one down to fully understand it.
  14. something entirely trivial. there is a part number for those in FAST. suggest having a dig. as for the mazda idea- there is no direct linkage to the screen from the radio on these. the system speaks J1852 between the units - I have the command structure somewhere.
  15. from what I can tell the rear release stopped in 2003. they put it inside after that. dpends how you wanted to class the thing. if you worked or R series ideas then 1.5. not sure if thats the case though.
  16. not that I can see. looks to come as an assembly.
  17. if I had a working complete box - yes. that said your DVD unit would go elsewhere (under the seat.)
  18. yep. my details are in my sig call/drop by tuesday.
  19. run it past tuesday and I'll have a look. I have a scan tool so I can tell you WHY the bag light is on. PM me the name on the pink plate that is inside the passenger door as well - curious who did this one.
  20. where are you?
  21. nah ex japan is easy for me. price will be another matter though.
  22. clarion CX609A - start there - want one - ask http://clarion.com/au/en/products/2010/aud...9413421675.html
  23. FYI: http://www.michaelhyde.com/product_p/natl-nsc.htm that gives you the keys as well.
