how did you get on?

works off the top navi unit. if that has video output of ANY sort then I can do something with it. thing being everyone is too much of a tightarse to let me try I have a E50 El grand (same system) that has TV/navi on it. there is a big thread on this thing inthe car audio area. I posted up a lot of images on it and gave instructions on how to manually open the thing. if all you have is the screen then I would suggest ripping it out. you need a data stream to fire it up and set the correct input on it. (it has 3 inputs.) there is no other wqay to make it run.

I'm talking to the agent monday arvo. my goal is to sort this within a week and spend a week moving things across. - we'll see.

find a decent brand (autowatch) and a VERY capable installer. the alarm will be the easy bit.. the installer - nigh on impossible to find one who gives a shit.

are you mechanical? door relay is doable that will make life easier if you need two neg outs for your alarm. drivers kick is its location.

easier way. pull the fuse panel loose and behind that is a 4 pin plug. 3rd wire in (plug facing you lock up) has speed on it. there is a B+ and ACC feed there as well.

without knowing the install - no idea. what condition is the electrical system in?

to answer your question - yes it will fit. the HV35 is the 3 lt varsion of this car. the 30DET was in a gloria from memory and thats TOTALLY different to what you have in there. electrically different and I dare say a right royal pain in the arse to get going propery due to CAN networks alone. a second hand 35DE (or get it rebuilt then toss it in - less chance of a hand grenade.) would be a wiser idea. CEFFYNSW has done a bit of fiddling with his and it was a hair tearing exercise at best.

mate of mine has a 93 Vspec that is decent nick (he's an inporter.) had the books with it and drove well (I had it for 3 weeks doing minor electrical work on it.) can put you in touch with him if you like.

looking at one inthe same complex as allstar tuning and rotary motorsport. terms are whats killing me on these though. having to outlay $11K straight up is not easy to do. add to that I want 1+2 and most want 2+1 or 3 yrs solid. this is fun

troy, most people can't fit the things properly anyway. there are $65 in bits to do it correctly. ditch the stock thing and buy a new one- easier.
