  1. it was you I was thinking of. I do not see enough of these to warrant buying it.
  2. you can do it on both. both units have the option of external stacker.
  3. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-07-INFIN...VehicleQ5fParts thought a V36 driver could use this to fix a few things.. looks like the entire system is there and for the IT savvy it runs QNX so yuo *could* do a mix/match to get yours in english.
  4. video inputs (NTSC only) theres two inputs to that unit. I must get around to working out what laser is acutally in these things.
  5. yep thats the compliance plate - old scheme. new ones are purple.
  6. cd not readable cd not present. what discs are you using. these things do not really like burnt discs for some reason. ylwgtr2, beats me, I have no issue with the E50 El grand - same system..
  7. nope . xenavi is a ARM based platform. those things aren't gonna work.. thats kinda whats being done. I'm one of the people operating on this scheme. I have compliance shops asking me weekly for this disc. I say vaporware unitl I get a copy physically in my hand. that said nothing is unhackable. its human nature someone will find a way. thats the same reason I have EC5W/EC5A S2 (98+ mitsi Legnum/Galant) navi software here so the thing displays in english.
  8. nope - its all internal to the radio. I have a fellow that sent me one via reg post ( Hi Hillbilly) with the same issue. I'l going to do a service on that one whilst I have it. in saying that I should probably knock up a chargeable jig (that way I get it back) so you have A/C and no radio. if you want to pull the radio and send it to me (RADIO ONLY- NO PANEL!! ) I'll fix it for you.) as for my comment I've been quietly working on 'new' radios for these both bose and non bose versions that tune correctly and display correctly - only issue is price as I literally rebuild the stacker at the same time. ( they are roughly a $750-800 radio.). these are the original radios recal'd and reworked.
  9. compliance on a V35 full service, child restraints, immobiliser, revert to standard if modified (buy a stock one its a LOT easier to work with) . then its my turn if you sned it to a shop I do work for: fix radio, sort out navi, add Ipod and various accessories. from there its yours to drive to the local rego authorities. kristian can probably add to this, this is what I see done to them with the compliance shops I service. in short DON'T buy a SHITBOX! it will come back and bite you.
  10. it does. I have a car in the workshop now with the same issue. I have to tear it down on monday and the 'fault' lies in the CD section (where it runs through 4 different paths.) I can fix it anyway. looks like a good time to roll out the reworked/retuned radios that I have here.
  11. clarify this fault - it happens when, under what rules, what source? radio and CD or CD only. if so then it looks like you DO have a CD issue. it will drop an ENTIRE side. if you are losing it under both sources then the problem is still in the radio just in a different spot. autosparky wont have a clue. unless you have the radio service manual ( I do) then you wont get a lot of help.
  12. to be honest I would really need to have the car ion front of me to fully understand it. (not going to happen since you are in WA.)
  13. japan trade car , gulliver, Iron chef imports for starters..
  14. finally pulled it out I see. whats going back?
  15. cheap and nasty fix - ground loop isolator. proper fix - relocate leads, reground amp for a start.
  16. ok. thats doable - suggestion would be to mount it so it trips JUST as you pop the hood. thats the tricky part. a meter will help here. last one I did was on a 80's 911. that was mounted on a hinge when I did it.
  17. not that easy. if all you wish to do it pull the battery then do it. that wont foul it up.
  18. find a mongoose dealer..
  19. pick up or get someone in that area t o go look for you. thats the only way I'll do it. personally for large items.
  20. soklay, no need to spam every thread- things are sent reg post for a reason. hounding me daily will not make it land any faster. patience grasshopper now take your questions back to the appropriate area
  21. budget?
  22. nope. QT is no longer around - suggest taking the car to a car audio store and getting it removed.
  23. the ENTIRE rear side/ panel has to come out - floor included. thats the long way of doing it. do you have the AUX IN lead for it? you will need that.
  24. T, reserve matey
  25. nice way to make a $3k... (theif!) if you haev bank details get in before the account closes and another is opened. food for thought.
