  1. google nissan FAST. it will pop up. for me I know someone.
  2. VIN pls. in you case GH-NM35-000000 being an AXIS when we pop that into FAST it will generate a special screen saying autech version.
  3. would be interesting to see. google some more info on QNX and the G37 infiniti. similar system. you basically have a linux computer in front of you. so off that if you can map the base system I'd be looking at a centrafuse setup theres a LOT of info out there on that and the system itself is quite impressive. I'll stay clear of this sort of mod. from what I can see there is a databus system looped through it.
  4. it has been. I have the leads in stock to do this.
  5. thats fine. I use it mainly for parts lookup on everything nissan. (last use was the Cube in my avatar.)
  6. which part? you start at the rear of the car and work foward. read teh links above as the side lower panels are not what they seem. the slide foward and NOT out. uper panels are on screws and the screen requires EVERYTHING in its path to come out. to get the radio out (cd player) the ENTIRE centre console has to come out. I didn't bother trying with marks car. too much effort. this is one car I did not like pulling apart. too involved. doing it once though will make the second one easier. what does your freind have in mind?
  7. ARX got he 6cd radio from what I have seen. that said the wiring IS THERE! if you are up for it find the cluster and plug it in.
  8. do you have a pinout of both? to me I would say no. I have two clusters here out of 34's and they are both different.
  9. give me the chassis number (BNR34-000000) and I'll tell you. I have FAST up to 09 and that car will be in there.
  10. depends on what you are chasing. when I had iron chef chasing a car for me he sent me several cars a week and I picked one out. from there its game on.
  11. mapping will still be an issue - unless you can find out what engine the USDM and JDM units run. the new clarion is IGO and Navteq based. this thing *should* be similar. as for turning it on - consult 3 or a hardware swap I figure. by the time they tear it down do teh fitting and bits - its close. as it sits now with marks car thats close to what it works out doing it aftermarket. I'm still looking at the OEM idea more closely.
  12. I can get them. that's the easy bit. your profile says JDM - do you have that car or a ADM one. I would like to tear a JDM car down to note differences. It's a hardware difference. there are two different part numbers in the JDM fast I have and only one for the ADM FAST . neither of them match up. that said I dare say a LOT of it is turned off. if there is someone that can code in linux then anything is possible. (they run GNX in standard form) nope and so real way I can see at this stage to get audio/video neatly into it either.
  13. not that I can see. I had one down today and no. its a hardware difference. that said I did find a GPS antenna on the ADM version I had today. not sure why, I would LOVE to get one of these on to a consult 3 and have a fiddle.
  14. the red one is a nice car - it also has steering controls that weren't on it before I put the Ipod into it. the silver 6 spd is one of the cleanest examples I have seen in a while. either of them are worth the money and craig is a straightup person when it come to these cars. he doesn't buy crap cars or sell them
  15. rear gate? thats on snaps mostly. rear bumper - similar idea to the front.
  16. and I just gave it back
  17. too late he already has
  18. already have. unlike a 34 and V35 - no dice. believe me I'm looking.
  19. ok camera is doable- anything you read on the NAGTROC site DOES NOT apply to this car. its entirely different underneath. I'm still trying to convince a local dealer who's not scared shitless of the main company to get me a ADM service manual for this car. I have the USDM one and I'm working on the JDM one. at this stage the exercise using OEM GTR bits runs $1500 approx. aftermarket will be a LOT less but it will involve fiddling on my behalf to do it. if anyone has tied with Nissan Oz I'm all ears..
  20. I've noticed that those seem to go for silly money still.
  21. if it was a gunmetal R35 with matching plates - I have to pull that apart in the morn. spoke to him this arvo aabout 3 pm. Dave (rhino) PM me- you know why.
  22. DVD ROM is the standard item - the video is taken care of by the JVC DVD unit in the dash - its tied to the OEM screen.
  23. no prob.
  24. kristian, great idea. simialr to what SDA is here . they run that at QR. seems to be more on skid control from what I have seen. are you trying to do this nationwide or just SA?
