I have seen a few $5k cars that were cut/shut units where the owner was none the wiser. also seen a fair few GTRs with side swipe damage and rear side hits that people have paid silly money for. so for those that are saying they got a bargain - how deep did you look when you bought the car?

haha!! $1k for a 89 R32 GTS4 - bought it as a restoration project with no intent of selling it. cars are a hobby. if you buy them to make money or expect the same amount of money back when selling then you are kidding yourself.

the first one feeds the hicas setup. looks like most of that has been ripped out. 2nd - oem spoiler harness. 3rd the ring terminal and hte battery terminal need to be connected together . that is + supply for the car. the 4th is the missing ECU harness. all of that feeds to the ECU.

they rang me on two of them. there was another that had a dead AC board as well. as for true AUX - I have a lead for it. USB I can also do and that will also have a b'tooth connection on it for hands free and streaming. I offered both to alberts as a solution. if you wnat either shoot me a message.

looks like the battery is in the trunk. if so then they will have cut the connectors off the B+ terminal. there will be two white wires feeding off that to the fuse panel in the engine bay. if those are there then you are fine as the rest of the harness will be there as well. the only issue you *MAY* have will be with the RB25 swap that was attempted. the engine harness will differ slightly and if the RB25 one is on there you will have an extra plug at the back for the electric speedo drive and the oil sender wiring will be wrong also. thats off the top of my head. the ECU harness obviously differs and it looks like you are doing custom ECU anyway so that should not be an issue. questions ask as I have learned a fair bit over the last year and a bit with mine.

there is a proper AUX in on those that they are not aware of. given that alberts rang me on yours a few weeks back I *think* I know what they did with it. FM transmitter with a 3.5mm plug and a swtich. not a lot you can do I am afraid. didnt ask if it had navi or not. if it does then I have a solution for it. if not I will have to drag a schematic out and knock up a plug for you.

what condition are the lower sills in? I would suggest pulling the carpet back and looking for rust. if you intend to rebuild this car that would be a start. rust is the worst part about these cars - rear guards are another place to look. have a look here , here , here and here for a better explanation. northern car with a lot of time on it. as for harnesses - what do you need? I have already rebuilt a few harnesses on mine so I have the layouts with dimensions.

found a source for the destroyed oval rubber boots that are in the doors. N14 pulsar has the same boots and given the number of these things in wrecking yards they are fairly easy to get. the part is no longer available new. (considering that nissan went to body plugs in 95 or so I know why.)

considering they didnt show last sunday - probably not.

Ahh , I say lakeside myself UNLESS its a volume thing then I see their point.

what year is the car. R33 didnt get OEM keyless until 97/98. if its EARLIER than that then it was a dealer fit item. in which case it would be EASIER to fit aftermarket.

S1 has the ignitor on the rear of the engine S2 does not. you should be able to determine what you have by the plugs anyway. also there is a S3 version of it as well. mechanically not a lot changes - electrically though its different, slippy, whilst I agree with you I too reference them by 1,1.5,2,3 as it is easier to talk to the customer with those numbers, when talking to nissan though I reference by chassis number and model. its easier when dealing with O/seas suppliers to give correct info than to half ass it.

I know where a set of those are if you need them.

the O/S is similar , hardware is similar. both run the sony GVIF chipset and the audio side of it is the same. as for being identical . they are not. the software that runs the unit would cover navi,BT,DVD playback (though most of the clarion stuff is firmware coded.) and a portion of the radio operation. it would be a case of software hacking the two together to make it run. as for buying the software only , not to my knowledge. it will be the whole box and that is on the wrong side of $5k. the30gb drive splits into 4 smaller drives. so to compress it may prove a bit of a task. truck is long gone. when I had it I was doing 4 cameras on it and two of them were in a horse trailer. when I had it I had the chance to pull the drive and unlock and unmarry it from the unit. no one responded so I let it be. for me to unlock one its a $55 a pop exercise and given I see VERY few of these cars not something I wanted to do on a whim.

in canada or the USA. either way I have your back data feed does the fuel consumoption thing on to the screen. I realise that it is on the cluster as well.

yep. non navi does not have the data feed to the screen enabled.

it is for a V36. panel will not fit a V35

pretty much as described. it is the PANEL only and thats ALL I have. it needs paint but for those that want a OEM look with the car and you intend on adding cruise and audio controls you NEED this bit to do it and it CANNOT be bought as a spare part. I do not need it so its going to hang on my wall until someone sends me a mailing address. send me a message if you want it.

there ya go.. they have wrecks and plenty of them. make sure you get a navi version of yours though. they are different.

about a month ago I asked for somone to host a 30 GB image.. no one responded so I didnt bother. the local Navara STX550 runs the SAME box as the V36 does with maps and in english. if someone had piped up I could have imaged that hard drive..
