  1. you would be better off with the 6x9s that go in the rear shelf of yours..
  2. as a FYI. these need at least a 6Vpp balanced signal into them to run properly. if its still available can you take a measurement from the base to the top of it. I want to see if I can get it in the spare tyre well of my R32.
  3. are you happy with it? yes? then why worry about it
  4. its looking for a start up disc.
  5. go see someone about it - carmen is probably the best one to do it. I have a scan tool but given its being a pain in the arse at the moment I can't plug into the car anyway. go see someone about it and start there. most of the cars I have been privy to seem to dispaly what you have shown.
  6. also this screen will double as a navi screen when the HKS piece is not being displayed. again its a tweak that I am used to having in the other vehicles I own. this is a R34 obviously but you get the idea: did that in 2008 to a mspec nur.
  7. nah. then I lose my torque gauge and the cluster is a different shape so it is not a direct fit.. the HKS peice does tach any way so it will have a digital tach and info meter similar to the more modern R34 GTR. I have a few electrical tweaks to go on it - this is one of them
  8. just bought this: that will fit nicely into the GTR cluster that I have ( the tach is coming out.) this in conjunction with a garmin GVN53 and HKS CAMP2 should bring this car into the 21st century quite nicely already spoke to a speedo cluster repairer as well about making me an overlay with a clear area for it so it all looks factory. only oversight I had was the amount that a sheet of the material makes - 5 overlays. so once done I will have 4 of them up for grabs in the factory grey instrument color.
  9. just a quick comment here (and I will leave) R32 panels cost that EACH (mine were $804 each) . didnt think R33 would cost less.
  10. Found a BETTER source for the body to door harness boots that the door harnesses have on them the originals are: 24256-41L10. (35mmx50mm oval boot) - fits into the door 24256-41L01 (50mm round boot ) - fits into body cavity these are for a 2 door obviously (no idea on a 4 door) where to find BOTH of them cheaply: late 90s J30 Nissan Maxima. they are on the door harness and usually in good nick. I have 4 sets as I want two spares. wrecker gave them to me at no charge
  11. option one had one there on a HCR32 nose chop. may pay to ask.
  12. possibly. depends on how the door locking was done.
  13. needs to see me at some point as well I believe..
  14. put a few shots up of the work in progress
  15. not to be rude but do you have a shot of this in situ at all. what TB is on it - OEM ? is it the same length as a RB26 item or longer. is it a full replacement or just the top section?
  16. the point I am making to him is this: if he gets it running and then goes for RWC and they find the chassis rails bent and structural damage on it then there will be slim to no chance of getting it road registered. assess that first before doing the engine side of it. I am going on a previous post so I may be well off the mark here. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/386295-justins-r32-streettrack-build/page__view__findpost__p__6166116
  17. similar but not exactly what you have. mine has a GTR harness in it but mine is also 4wd. concentrate on fixing the body first. if it has as much damage as I read then I would start there first before doing anything else.
  18. pm replied. if you need help with the V36 - ask.
  19. best to find someone with a running one and compare with a camera. yours sounds like it is a bit of a mess - best of luck with it. I would be sourcing a better front harness for it myself.
  20. now how electrically minded are you. this is not a VL
  21. yep ECU harness, wiper harness,ABS harness (in my case) and a resistor harness. so if ALL that is gone then I would source a 25 head with a manual harness attached to it. from there you are going to have to also find a 32 harness and mix/match the two. there is not a lot of difference in them but from an electrical point it would be better to have the 32 harness spliced on to the later RB25 item for circuit tracing when something goes bad. also ECU choice - nistune would be my pick over the microtech item.
  22. easier if we talk you know. as for the stereo. fred at rocky car sound? I can't do something like that unless I have a fair bit of time up my sleeve. the job itself is right up my alley and I could certainly do the job and supply the gear for it. I'm not in CQ though and probably wont be for a while. give me a call at some point (tell me who you are ) and we will talk alarms and crap
  23. same part number different inserts from what I have found.
  24. this looks like hail damage. speak to FTG nissan. the V36 stuff will be cheapish. the V35 stuff I know of a car due in (cut up) about 3-4 weeks that will have all that stuff. send me a PM and I will put you intouch with the fellow bringing it in. have money handy as he does not talk to you unless you are serious.
