  1. hi guys, i'm moving house again and this grill has already stayed with me since the last move - and I'm sick of seeing it. It's the standard S2 crosshatch style grill. It's in great condition - comes with the 'RSFour' badge. Cost is FREE. Only condition is if you want it you either have to pick it up from house in Middle Park (which is in between St Kilda and Albert Park) or you send me a pre-paid and self addressed postage bag that will fit the grill and I'll put it in the post.
  2. what do you recommend for the cutting? I'd be afraid to take my 4" angle grinder anywhere near a set of OEM headlights. You can always paint the shrouds black? or maybe gloss black for a bit of contrast to the matte black housings?
  3. nice work there mate. It's definitely the way to go - if done right it will achieve much better output than the taiwan lights. old na fairline projectors are an interesting choice - hope they have a decent output. are you planning to install some shrouds? I haven't started mine yet - but hopefully going to get onto it before winter rolls around. I've bought a dremel - and got all my retro fit parts - i just need to get the balls up to cut open a set of OEM lights!
  4. ....and there are no turbo V35 skylines.
  5. If possible - I reckon the V-series guys would be interested in coming along? We can chat about lack of doors and turbos.....
  6. Hey admin can I get username change to SMOKEYV35 Cheers
  7. saw a black V35 coupe with rear wing and some shadow chrome 18's (- maybe Weds tc01's?) at maccas carpark about 8.30am this morning in Clayton. Looked super clean. I was half asleep so didn't register it until it was driving straight at me.
  8. i too would like to have a ride in a car with transgo. think it will be my next mod for sure. lazy auto's - nobody got time fo' dat!
  9. this is the one i'm using. the only issue with it is that when you put the passenger seat forward, and it moves automatically along the rails - it will foul on the holder as it gets towards the end of the tracks and slow the seat down. Puts a bit of strain on the motor, so i always manually stop it with the switch when it gets close. Depends how often you carry people in the rear seats of your car i guess.
  10. oh yes - forgot about that meet - i won't be here we should do something with a drive though - this weather isn't going to last foreever, before we know it we'll be in winter and that's no fun at all.
  11. i'll be the judge of that on both counts. but anyway - it won't be carbon - it will be matte anthracite to match my rims. I'd happily paint it but i know it wil most likely look shit after it takes a few bugs and highway debris. how does it fit?
  12. hey guys, i want to get rid of my sat nav - it serves me no purpose and it just adds weight and takes up space where i'm trying to run cables for my double din. It looks like if i get one of these dash cubby panels that the non-sat nav versions have i could just remove sat nav and blank it off. Does anybody have one - or know where I can get one? Cheers Mat (referring to the part above the a/c controls and below the clock)
  13. thanks tyler, yeah have seen those ones but they're v expensive! I was going to have a go at wrapping mine first - but i have seen there are some on ebay for like 140ish - just wanting to know how they fit, and if thats what Locky is using.
  14. are you in the v-series owners club group on facebook, Mark? We haven't met since xmas - but maybe we should organise a meet/cruise soon? or JDMST is supposedly coming up 23 feb - we could do a pre-meet and roll up to that?
  15. Just one i grabbed off ebay. I bought to hold the Cobb Accessport for my Mazda - but it fits the iPhone perfectly. I love it. Cost about $35 - type in 'floor mounted phone holder' in ebay - should be able to find it. It bolts to the front corner bolt of the seat mounting point. The mount and the column are made from metal - it is bomb proof. It bends, swivels etc so you can position it perfectly - I can pretty much rest my hand on the gear shifter and then just control the iphone with my finger......not that I condone that while driving.
  16. by 'lugs' do you mean connectors? and are these foglights factory fitted or are you referring to the lights in the lower beam of the headlight housing? Or are they the aftermarket ones that sit in the front bar? Need more info - your black wire you can ground anywhere that is suitable - just make sure it's got a good metal on metal contact. Then we just need to work out your power wire - and by telling me if they're factory or not we can start trying to figure out how they switch on.
  17. Cheers. It's a Momo leather knob.
  18. hey locky - have you got a link to the grill you bought? I want to buy one and vinyl wrap it - without stuffing up my OEM one. this was my achievement for the weekend. I basically disappeared into the garage on sat morning and didn't reappear until midnight on sunday. But have now installed the DD H/U - ran new larger power wiring to the amp, ran all my RCA's, camera, trigger wires etc and vinyl wrapped the center console - which was such a stupid amount of work I'm embarassed to even say how long I spent doing it.
  19. that price is pretty fair i reckon. you can split these, repaint and repolish them for next to nothing - and have brand new rims. have you got them advertised outside the v-series forum? these specs will go on R33/4's - supras - S-chassis etc.
  20. i'm interested to see how long it lasts. i painted a chrome badge on my last car - it was showing signs of chipping with a couple of weeks - i was amazed. figured the v35 grill would do the same so held off painting it. or did you plastidip?
  21. plus you can get something that fits, and doesnt need spacers - which is always a plus. i love vs-kf's - but i think even in 19's, this car makes them look small. i'm sure you'll find somethin aggro though. cannot wait for my rims to land!
  22. This is a man who has his priorities sorted.
  23. You've got to make sure you use a kit with UV sealant. Glassylite is the best one I've used. Available on eBay.
  24. yeah SPL's - they aren't cheap - $600-$700 - but I wanted something that wouldn't knock. I didn't want to spend money and time putting a set in that made the car worse to drive from knocking and bumping and carrying. The reviews on the SPL's are very good. Ichiba's on the other hand, have a questionable rep. Do your due dilligence and research, but lots of failed bushings leading to knocking and moving out of alignment. The spl's only have +1 degree with the shims, but with the joints on the end of the arms you can get an extra +1.5 - so that's +2.5 in total. http://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-suspension/387420-camber-adjustment-spl-front-arms.html But if you're at -1.4 and -1.27 then you only need +1 to bring it back into spec.
  25. I'd just give it a light polish and then wax over it. from the looks of the spider webs in that first pic - the polish would be a welcome addition
