  1. I have a front bar, it's white with a nismo lip - where r you located?
  2. Castrol Titanium 5w30 in with a k&n oil filter. Also snapped 3 wheel studs - so while I wait on replacements and the car is undriveable - figured as good as time as any to put my BC coilovers and spl arms in.....and paint the calipers. So far pulled all the suspension out, rears took maybe 30 mins. Fronts about 2 hrs.....had to angle grind off the brake caliper mount to strut after both 12mm nuts rounded off grr.....reinstall Sunday.
  3. Pretty sure black is going to look like the pics you already have in the shade. Do something new. Hammer-finish copper? Midori green metallic? Rays magnesium blue?
  4. And nek minut...
  5. cheap silver bootlid with a little bit of damage - worth spraying if you can get it cheap enough http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/nissan-skyline-v35-350gt-coupe-boot-lid-wrecking-/221198555130?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item33807617fa
  6. Gratuitous rim shot... Picked up the rims Thursday, Pirelli P Zeros on Friday lunch, rims on Friday night. BC coils and SPL arms in next. But not before i finish this damn stereo. Have been driving for a month in total silence. Got the sub in last night.....but nothing connected to amp yet.
  7. Shannon's can get bent as far as I'm concerned. Everything about their elitist business model reeks. Even once I went through their rigmarole and proved I was a sufficient 'car enthusiast' to an arrogant and indignant prick on the other end of the line, he then churned out a quote of no less than $3500 for a stagea (!!) I paid 16k for. Clearly spelling out to me that they in no way wanted me as a customer. I ended up finding insurance elsewhere for a quarter of that price, full comp. I'd only place Shannon's mildly ahead of just cars (who are aami) and I will never re-insure with aami as long as I live. I'm with RACV - for my v35 - 29 yr old w no claim or driving history, full comp, choice of repairer, windscreen cover - $890.
  8. Thanks for the response. I've bought some poor boys spray n rinse cleaner, and poor boys wheel sealant. Hopefully it arrives soon so I can get onto them before they get too dirty.
  9. Repco has castrol titanium 5w30 $22 off
  10. Close! 6,800 without tyres. Made to order. Got quoted by VAD last year for my BMW.
  11. I just got my new rims, so my vote is clear!

    Same.
  13. You can buy tinted overlays with the holes already cut out. Think the guy is called 'Batman' in g35driver. My 2c is that they're better left alone. I think they're damn sxy as is!
  14. Because human trafficking is not creepy at all.....
  15. Welcome jazzie, I saw your car about 3 weeks ago when I was in Perth. Down in freemantle near little creatures. I pointed it out to my gf and said 'what do you reckon, should I upgrade to the newer shape?' To which she said 'looks exactly the same as the one you have got' - *facepalm*
  16. Hi guys I am picking up my new wheels soon, but before i put them on the car I wanted to thoroughly clean then seal them. I have two questions. 1. What high temp sealant do people recommend? At the moment i'm looking at Finish Kare FK 1000P Hi Temp Sealant? And will it be suitable for a rim with a painted centre and polished step lip (assume lip is clear coated). 2. What wheel cleaner? I want something that won't strip the sealant, and that is safe to use on a painted centre and polished step lip. This is proving difficult as a lot of brands say they suit painted wheels, but not polished - and vice versa. Rims in question:
  17. bit of a thread dig here, but I searched ebay for the K&N filter, part number HP-1008 - and the few results that turned up wanted like $60!!! I think these filters fit R35 GT-R's so they're asking GT-R prices. FYI - I went on amazon.com and got the HP-1008 for $10. Ordered 3 of them, incl postage from the US for $44.
  18. That or you forget to take out the company name of the last job you applied for.....had one of those cross my desk recently. Needless to say he did not get a call back.
  19. No dont get me wrong. I didn't say don't use seek - im just saying there are other ways - you new to approach it from as many different angles as possible, an your best chance of standing out from the masses of applicants is to chose more obscure paths of application. Good luck with your search - stay motivated, keep a routine and try not to procrastinate!
  20. Despite anti-discrmination policies, I'd say most companies of a decent size have that rule to stamp out favoritism, and to at least have some chance of ensuring they get the best candidates - not just a mate of a mate. That being said, 90% of jobs are transacted on the private market. Applying for jobs in seek etc is like taking a Hail Mary shot from the back of the court. I remember one job I applied for I was one of 250 applicants. 5 round interview process and got to final 2....then other person got it. If you want a job, consider your experience, skills and interests - then start approaching companies that lend themselves to those criteria. Call front reception, ask to speak to the person responsible for hiring. It will be hit and miss but it's a much faster way to the decision maker than applying for any and every job on seek with a generic cover letter.
  21. I wasn't there an haven't seen pics but I don't disagree with you either. As far as I'm concerned, the people driving around with rusty gaurds rolled with a baseball bat, stretched and shredded tyres, decatted straight pipes and dragging their bits all over the road are as bad for the scene as cops who deliberately and over zealously target anything that isn't factory specification. I'd be happiest if neither turned up to the meets, then maybe I would feel safe turning up!
  22. Disappointing by the cops. I don't know what the solution is to making the modified car scene more civil, but the attitude by the police i these instances certainly doesn't help.
  23. Sorry mate, that content doesn't show on iPad/iPhone. I didn't see it. My bad. Bought some sleepers from bunnings today, cut them to length and bolted some handles to them to make moving them around easier. It sorts out the front bar clearance, but not the exhaust/rear subframe unless I get the entry mm perfect......groan.
