  1. As I said, you can use google maps or navfree as your navigation software on the pioneer - both are free apps. Work fine. Perhaps one of the cooler apps though is the DashCommand app, that uses a wireless OBD2 dongle to transmit all vehicle information onto the screen in cool graphs etc. Good for a performance car, pointless in my Pathfinder. Anyway, like I said, for me the features weren't as important as the GI, and everything else I demo'd looked like ass. Aside from that I don't think it's quite there. If I were doing it again I would do a ipad mini based install.
  2. 19x10.5 +22 won't fit on the rear regardless of tire size. Rim will hit strut. I know this as 19x9.5 +22 just hit coilovers in my rs4s which has same rear end as 260rs.
  3. Righto - well, hopefully whoever buys your car next does too! Can't confirm for you if the buttons fit though.
  4. Why would you want jap buttons?? Unless you're Japanese of course...
  5. yep. Metra has plasticky rubber buttons that just feel and look cheap. OEM or bust.
  6. I agree / if it doesn't feel right, don't spend your energy trying to convince yourself it will be ok.....or else be prepared to spend your money making it ok when it all goes bang.
  7. Pioneer AppRadio feature uses google maps, nav free, or the pioneer app - they all sit on your phone, not the unit, so you're sweet. Just plug in the supplied cable and that's all - Australian maps.
  8. Not sure - you'd have to research - it was about 3 years and 5 cars ago lol. I liked that it gave me a reference point in the cabin. I could see the temp and when the fans were on. Could also manually override if needed. I was too worried about something failing, the fans not coming on and me not noticing until too late.
  9. Awesome job on the retro. Here is one i did on my pathfinder a few months ago Morimoto minis / Xb LED angel eyes / gattling shrouds / digital ballasts / 5000k morimoto bulbs Have since painted reflector bowls black to reduce light scatter.
  10. I would have a look at the pioneer avh range. I have these in both my cars (4500bt and a 2450bt). The app mode stuff is a wank and I never use it - but the Bluetooth is great, connects as soon as i am in the car, picks up all song info etc. I listen to spotify through Bluetooth and that's pretty much all I use it for. Has great tuning features for SQ. But compared to the others you have listed, I think the pioneers have the best GI (graphics interface) and that's ultimately why I went with it. Buy from the states - they're much much cheaper. One of mine is local and one is from the US. The US one works perfect, no radio issues or anything.
  11. I have used a Drift brand digital fan controller on BA thermos before with great results. Has some nifty features like set the temp the fans switch on, digital display of current temp, alarm warning for over temp (you set). Cost about 160 iirc. From autobarn.
  12. That's just the OEM Nismo bumper. Factory optioned.
  13. Interior Pics added. Considering swaps for GT-R's of similar value.
  14. without knowing how many km's on them, it's anyone's guess. If low km's (<5,000kms) i'd say aroudn the 1k mark. Work down from there if you think they're higher km's. Side note - i love how the damper adjust on the rears is external.
  15. It must have been taken down. All the info is here on the nsw govt website though: http://www.epa.nsw.gov.au/pollution/ReporttoEPA.htm I have physically downloaded it before, so it did exist at one point not long ago - deleted it when it wasn't Vic specific.
  16. Err maybe it was a new Infinity?? I went and hassled the Infinity sales man on the weekend (parked my v35 out front on a Saturday lol) asking him how they go selling against the import skylines. He was cool, but said that people who are considering these cars at 70k have no idea they can buy an import for less.....it's not in their consideration set. Then went in about warranty, English menus, etc etc
  17. Our aerials need 12v power. If you have a aftermarket head unit, wire the aerial wire from the factory loom (blue) to 12v+ acc power.
  18. Hey guys, SPL A-Arms are the best in the business. One look at these things in person will tell you these are not some cheap mass made Chinese knock off. They are CNC cut from billet aluminum and are a pure work of art. They feature 'shim blocks' that allow you to change camber accurately and quickly by between -2.5deg to +1deg over natural camber. Read here for more info. http://www.thenismoshop.com/SPL-PRO-V3-Front-Upper-Arms-SPL-FUA-Z33--Nissan-350Z-Infiniti-G35_p_450.html I bought these off a forum member about 6 months ago: http://zclub.com.au/forums/index.php?/topic/4959-350z-part-out-list-nothing-over-12mths-old/?hl=a-arms Unfortunately, in my distraction in talking to the seller when I picked them up I overlooked the fact that the hemispherical joints had a fair amount of play in them and one of the bolts had been crossthreaded and then remachined leaving it much smaller than the other side. So not wanting to put something in my car that could be either dangerous or introduce annoying knocking sounds I contact SPL and ordered all new hemi's and hardware at a cost of $165USD + shipping. The advantage is these are the latest V3 designed joints that overcome the earlier issues of dirt entering the joint and causing noise/binding/wear. I'll include the old joints for reference, otherwise will throw them in the bin. So these are basically brand new arms. Never been installed in my car. Unfortunately II waited so long for the parts to arrive, I am now selling my car I don't plan to use them. As you can see, these retail for $759USD + Shipping. All I am asking is to get back what they owe me - the $475 I paid, plus the $165 for the joints. PRICE: $640 CONDITION: The A-Arm section is used, but no signs of wear except 3 or 4 of stone chips. All moving parts are BRAND NEW and come with warranty (receipt provided). LOCATION: Pickup Melb or can post at buyers expense. CONTACT: Via PM or O419 336 116 Cheers Mat
  19. if money isn't a problem - pull the motor out for a start - throw in a built LSX with twin turbos - I'd suggest some GT35R's. You'll need to upgrade the fuel system anyway so may as well go all out and set it up for E85 flex. That will net you close to 750rwkw or roughly 1000rwhp in the old money. That probably isn't going to be very useful, let alone with the standard 6 speed so I'd suggest a Quaife QBE sequential box to make it nice and snappy for upshifts during power skids. I reckon budget around $150k for this setup Or you could just realise like the rest of us that an intake, some high flow cats and an exhaust is about where it ends. Cost you about 2k and will get you maybe 15rwkw.
  20. I just had mine painted with 2pac and a shipload of hardener in the clear. Makes it durable and glossy.
  21. ^price does not incl rims.
  22. Sorry to point out the obvious but the overwhelming majority of people in this area of the forum are here because we already have one.....
  23. Price drop. $29,500 Would have to start removing parts to get the price down any further....
  24. oh man you're killing me - even though i'm trying to sell up my V35, if it did sell tomorrow i'd pretty much by this straight up. the 350GT is a hugely underrated and underappreciated car - this is one of the best examples you'll see in a long time.
  25. I downloaded it about 6 months ago just out of interest but deleted as only for new and I'm in vic.
