  4. Sorry to hear, that sucks. Mine let go at 2800k's, so i know the feeling. Get a good ECU and tune!
  5. Motor wont be built in time. Ill bring the supra.....again
  6. Pffffft, RB30!!!
  7. I think it was 4 by the end of it. Abo bob can confirm, but basically we were SO close. The difference between running this event and not running this event is all in the "hey mate im doing this day with the skylines club, its fun and cheap, come along!" between mates
  8. 26 or more
  9. A sad day for SAUNSW
  10. Has the rb30 crank been crack tested?
  11. Well done! Bet it feels great! Yes a few people on here can understand the sense of achievement and satisfaction once a motor is built and working Got some specs and power levels etc?
  12. Looks like so much fun
  13. Need a sub and a box, ill go have a look
  14. Good work James, it definatly stands out against the rest of the cars in the showroom
  15. Negotiable on price? A genuine N1 was sold recently in NSW for somewhere around 25k (can get more accurate figure if needs be), so asking $32000 for this seems a bit much IMO. Im asking as im in the market for another GTR. Can you please let me know, also if you post up the VIN code that would be very helpful
  16. Stock ECU? Stock turbos?
  17. Wooooooooooo! Last one was heaps of fun, im in! In for morning session Will send money and paperwork in the next few days Happy Bday Kev!!! Ill shout you a drink at DECA Cheers mate

  19. Yeah i know - prices now have dived for good bits Tell me about it! That black shit has pissed me off since the day i bought it - nice to see a white r32 with a clean bum for a change Thanks for that - ill be straight to bunnings after the motor is built this time around
  20. Cool cheers!
  21. Found some pics;
  22. White hey, good choice! Here's mine; Whats wrong with your grille? Id add a few N1 parts and be done with it. Looks like a very clean car you've got there I doubt -7's will do 350awkw, although i may be wrong - have a look in the RB26 results thread. Seems the guys with -7's are getting 300awkw without issues and the response is awesome. 350kw atw is a great feeling (mine did 355 before letting go, being rebuilt now, will do more than 400 this time round), pretty much nothing on the street can keep up. Traction is actually an issue if you're hard up it Dont forget the fuel system, the easiest way out of that problem: 044 in tank (yes it fits and works fine), new FPR (nismo or sard), new injectors (700cc's), standard fuel rail. No need for a new fuel rail unless you're after some "bling" The brakes - i thought the stockers would be ok for a while while i decided what to replace them with. Wrong They just plain old suck with that power. I have zero confidence in the sumitumo's after upping the power and wouldnt recommend anyone keeps them when at that level of power. Ive now sourced some new brakes that will stop it quickly enough; Front: -APRacing 6 pot monoblock calipers -375mm discs Rear: -APRacing 4 pot calipers -330mm discs Problem is though, they cost well more than most people spend on engine mods. An easy upgrade for the R32 gtr is the R33 brembo's, there's pretty much always a set for around 2k, but i think they should be much cheaper through the right people. May be worth your while sending a PM to Mr Zac, he's an importer. Or to Lawrence, he's an ex pat in Japan, and he's VERY helpful Next weakest link would be the gearbox, worry about that when/if it breaks - not cheap though which is a shame. Id be VERY suprised if there isnt a huge markup in gearsets Then enjoy the thing EDIT: Looks like you've got the original badge on there aswel - thats pretty cool, not many do these days
  23. Oh, she IS a she Got a pic of your car? Seems like you've got your head screwed on correctly, the best advice any GTR owner could give to another is: Ask for more advice! There's a wealth of information out there about all aspects of these things, and it never hurts to ask a question. If you're not going for mega power your build will cost significantly less which is great for your gtr fund. Have you got an idea of power you'd like? Like was it fast enough on stock turbos at 1bar? Or does it need more than that to keep you happy - if so, approx how much faster should it be to keep you satisfied? There's a heap of saving to be had if the power goal isnt stratospheric Come to the texikhana at sutton road and have a go there, i found out that by driving at off road events (tracks) i quickly realized where my gtr needed money spent, and where it didnt
