  1. Just a tip; the search button is in the top right hand side of your screen. Or on mobile version, down the bottom. Every aspect of this conversion has been covered with results by various members who have done it previously. I'd suggest spending the time and doing the research.
  2. Are you sure they did that with a T51RSPL? For some reason I thought they were on a GT45 or even 47R Garrett which given the level of performance of the car may have even been a special version. Spent a little while then searching around; Yes GK and SPL are similar, GK has higher HP rating for the same level of response. T62R was made to (apart from other things) nudge out the GK, and naturally is bigger. The thing is though, for this discussion the SPL really isnt needed IMO, here's why; Garage Saurus using an old 34D ran in the 8's, so that's got to be enough power for Chris to enjoy .....or is it haha Everyone here's 8's, 34D, Watch from 1.12. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CumKizAuuDw I did ask him which rear it had when at his shop but it was ages ago and I forget. NYTSKY might remember, he was busy buying a bellmouth at the same time
  3. Chris I asked that same person who knows all about T88's about your setup. He's very confident that turbo at 30psi and maybe a touch more will get 480kw, his one makes 460kw at 27psi. I asked if you were to change to hit 480/500kw what would he suggest. 34D 22cm was the answer and it will have more left in it for when you're tired of that number, but even the 22cm rear on the 33D should get there he said without any worries as long as the rest of the car is right. Unigroup dyno isnt a high reading one, it's pretty common knowledge it's a bit of a low reader. They focus on getting the engine running perfectly and having great drivability rather than just a high figure and sending someone on their way out the door.
  4. I dont know back to back either regarding response/lag. Surely a tiny bit more lag one way or the other when you're talking this amount of lag isnt going to make too much of a difference. Asking a friend of mine who knows all things T88, the GK has been proven to do 1000rwhp - I'm not sure, and not feeling well from NYE so not going in search of T51RSPLBB figures, but isnt the T62R the one that competes with those numbers? Im a twin turbo kind of guy so not up to date on every single turbo spec
  5. There will be a genuine TRUST extension, welded by Hypertune to an RB26 sump coming on the market very soon in the parts section. Location Sydney.
  6. Spoken by a man who remembers what Sutton is like
  7. Only when he is going over a crest and you're following at night your headlights will shine off the very bottom edge quickly - so it's very well hidden
  8. If wanting more power is stupid, then a lot of us here are in trouble haha It's worth moving max boost to 30psi for a run (Yavuz shouldnt need much convincing to do that haha), if that's not enough, try the larger reared 34D - that will put a smile on your dial. Or, when you're totally crazy, throw a GK on there.....i'll come watch that dyno run As nice as a T51R sounds, I'd be taking a GK over a T51R every day of the week. Who gives a shit about spooling noise when you're putting close to 1000rwhp to the floor
  9. How hard have you pushed the T88 you've got now? Tried the larger rear? If you havnt tried over 25psi or so, turn it up more before buying a new turbo Edit; T88 ratings are pretty typical Japanese, eg they'll say "800hp engine" but there's guys here making nearly that at the wheels with them.
  10. Thanks for that! So the RX7 was before the S14? If thats right, why did you move to the Nissan if the RX7 is already a light and well setup car? I know we are all Nissan fans on here, but looking at this from someone's view who doesnt mind other makes, the FD RX7 seems like a good buy (except run wider than standard rubber of course). Do you remember the max HP you reached with it before turning it down to save the tyres? Surely an FD with all unrequired gear taken off/out (Aircon, interior, sound deadener etc) on the widest tyres that fit under the stock guards would be a good base these days with the prices for them as they are.
  11. Go the Aussie teams!!!
  12. What a good idea! Then someone should start a definitive guide to building a 300kw GTR thread and maybe even a 400kw thread!
  13. You mean on E85?
  14. So much "agree" for those two comments The sound is just bullshit good. From our hotel room we could hear them building and dropping revs - it's that good, if only you could wake up to the sound everyday
  15. Some nice oversteer there on both videos! Is the RX7 running an inlet restrictor? Is it same power as the Nissan?
  16. So the real drama is getting the pink slip, right? You can write a letter of intent (stating where you're driving from, and to, via which roads) to the inspection station if you cant get a trade plate to do that part, get the pink slip, drive straight to the RTA office closest, UVP from there to your place and boom. Done. Check your PM box in a sec
  17. Thread approved.....and I'll be following this one
  18. LOL!!! Constructive criticism is always welcome. Why would you prefer 15 min sessions? FYI they're currently (and have been for ages) 10 minutes from green till red to allow 10 open minutes then the usual 2-3 minutes clearing the track before the next group which means we run to 4 x 15's in an hour. If members prefer it another way then of course that can be looked at etc
  19. Yeah I'm heading down just to spectate, so is PIGGAZ, come along Brad you're more than welcome!
  20. Maybe it's just me but that site wont load
  21. Tomei, Racepace, JUN, Toda. Ross (Local) is bringing out a set soon too which will be very well priced and made.
  22. Call "Skyline Spares" near Wetheril Park, surely they'd have one
